Friday, January 31, 2014 Episode 12,266 - At the house of Kiriakis, mogul grandfather confers with Brady. Victor is miffed marketing missed a mistake. Brady regrets not being there. Enter the redhead, kissing Victor, and he notices the tension. Brady admits it is because he missed the latest AA meeting. He does not need it, he needs to work! Maggie threatens to tell Victor everything if he does not do so himself right here right now. Brady admits how he fell off the wagon and missed the baby's christening. One time. It was one time only and he feels it is not Maggie's business. - At the faraway retreat, Eric confesses to Brother Tim that he feels hatred for Kristen violating his body and sending someone to kill himself as well as one he cares for. Brother Tim reminds him he does have a part in this drama. - Back in Salem, Nicole insists she and Dan track down Chyka and get revenge! Dan suspects they will be discovered and the doctor will take off anyway. She persists. He suddenly states they cannot do it. - Back at the cabin, Chyka has decided to hit the road and tell no one, given the two witnesses have lived to tell the tale. He shuts his computer and regroups. - EJ and Kate meet at the club and he is concerned. He wishes to discuss the big problem of one Nick Fallon! Kate feels the problem was solved by his undeath. EJ is irate Samantha was overly confident too, enough to jet off to Chicago on business. Kate thinks it will be smooth sailing unless he failed in his mission to keep Abigail quiet. - At the park, Rafe has just fallen while trying to reach for Nick. Jordan to the rescue! "What the hell do you think you're doing!" Supertherapist rushes to Rafe's side as he groans. Nick stands and stares. Jordan gets Rafe to the bench. Nick numbly states he fell. Jordan snaps he should have at least taken his hand. Nick numbly notes he would have refused and advises him to be more careful, not take chances with his health. Rafe glares at him. Jordan tells Nick to go. He laughs he was trying to, reminds Rafe that Gabi is a big girl who makes her own decisions, and goes on his loon way. Rafe is enraged by the punk and Jordan realizes that was Nick the notorious. She now learns the story of Nick coming back after Gabi refused to go to New York with him. Rafe sighs he has a way of manipulating others. She asks if he sustained any bruises. Only the ego! He stands with his cane and they hobble off together. - Abigail is in the supply room obsessing over EJ's last passionate kiss. The memory leaves her breathless, it does. - EJ assures Kate that Abigail will indeed keep her mouth shut. But wot if Nick is lying and remembers? Kate muses then it is his word against theirs. She points out EJ already had the scene of the crime cleaned. EJ is convinced they must stay a step ahead of him no matter what. According to Samantha, he pressed Kate for a job and he now wants to know all about it. - Dan suggests they involve the cops and proceed the proper way so the case does not fall apart. In addition, the dangerous DiMera doctor she intends to confront already tried to kill her and Eric! Nicole dramatically declares she will do whatever it takes to help prove Eric was an innocent victim and this is the way! - Outside the pub, Abigail with coffee runs into suspiciously friendly Nick. He congratulates her on becoming Ari's godmom. He calls her his fav cousin and asks how she is, cos he heard about Chad being in Boston. The young girl smiles she is alright. He notes she must be tired of people saying those DiMera are bad news, just like how people are talking about him. She stammers she should get back to her job at the hospital. Spooky music plays as he quietly wonders whether she is trying to avoid him. He noticed when she saw him at the church she looked as shocked as Will and the gang! Abigail stares. - EJ assumes that Kate had the common sense to blow off Nick. Wrong! He is displeased when Kate admits he implied a threat so she had to deal. He is about to probe when Rafe and Jordan appear and Rafe wonders, making a snide remark about the coffee club of the corporate crowd. Kate thinks he looks well. He grumbles he feels unwell on account of Nick Fallon not staying out of Salem! EJ charmingly agrees on that matter. - Victor is stunned to learn from Maggie that Brady has dropped out of the AA program altogether. Brady boasts he has gotten clean alone before and he can do it again. He petulantly points out his difference of opinion with the redhead should not have any effect on the status of his return to work. The Greek seeks a word alone with his wife. Brady obliges and makes himself scarce. Victor asks what happened. Maggie updates him on Brady attending a meeting while drunk, Dan warning he could have had alcohol poisoning. She fears he is in trouble! Victor muses it might not be so black and white. Maggie is aghast. Surely he is not in denial of Brady's addiction problem! - Eric finishes praying and thanks Tim for the spiritual enlightenment. He has reflected on many things. He knows he is supposed to find a way in his heart to forgive Kristen. But his brother is upset and so is he. He knows not whether he can ever forgive the she devil! If so, that would mean he is not worthy of being a servant to God ... - Nicole insists they help Eric as it should be HIS choice whether he remain a priest. Dan senses something more and demands clarification. What is Eric's other option? Nicole keeps busy on the computer. Dan deduces something happened down in that basement. Nicole blurts out it did, they professed their love for one another! - Brady is losing it. He goes up to his room, takes out a hidden bottle of booze, and gasps as he considers what to do next. - Tim wonders whether Eric is seeking permission to be relieved of his vows. Eric merely seeks clarity. Brother Tim the sage states they must profoundly examine every aspect of his life. - Dr. Dan warns Nicole that if they prove Eric was drugged and he is innocent, he will likely return to the priesthood. She understands and proceeds to explain her position. - Abigail anxiously tells Nick they just all assumed he was in New York. Nick wonders whether the scar spooked her. She asks if he does not remember anything. Not now. But perhaps one day. The knock to the head did a number on him. She stammers she must get back to work at the hospital. He is happy for her new full-time job and hopes he will be so lucky soon. They kiss the way cousins do and he ominously watches her walking away. - EJ pleasantly departs for a board meeting. Jordan mentions Rafe's fall and Kate wonders. Rafe notes Nick was there but luckily so was Jordan. Kate excuses herself. Outside, she receives a text from Nick, demanding to meet and go over the terms of his employment. Kate is more interested in destroying Jordan, but realizes first she must deal with Nick the now undead. Priorities priorities! - Abigail and EJ see each other at the nurse's station but speak not a single word to one another. She flips her hair and walks off. - Jordan is remembering a Super Bowl party disaster as Rafe grins. He has a worse Super Bowl story. He was supposed to arrest a guy who wanted to keep watching the game so they both stayed! Jordan giggles. He thanks her for taking his mind off ... Jordan finishes the sentence, referring to "he who should not be mentioned," meaning Nick. They kiss over the table like a couple of teenagers. - Kate arrives at the pub, where Nick awaits. She is in a mood but he advises her to hear him out. Nick is in fine form, with his elegant gray scarf, and drawls his new ideas will blow her away. He motions for another coffee to the table as though he fancies himself in a European café. - Brady is in his bedroom, where he struggles with the temptation, then tosses the bottle onto the bed. He does not need it, he does not! He leans against the wall. Downstairs Maggie tries to explain to Victor that alcohol is in fact a drug. The Greek thinks it may have been a onetime slip and decides to give his grandson another chance. Just one more. - Eric admits he wonders about himself doing what God wants and not himself. He decides there is more than one way to serve God and He may be showing him a different path. Tim suspects said path would lead to Nicole's arms. - Nicole emotionally announces if Eric chooses her, then it is right but he must be able to choose freely. All of a sudden, her computer beeps as a program has tracked Chyka's cell phone number to a cabin location. She is ready to rock and roll! Too late for Chyka, who is hammering his cell phone with a fireplace poker. He now steps in the other room with his drugs. - Nicole is in a hurry to get going but Dan is dismayed she would think to confront that homicidal maniac. She is sure the cops would be too late. Dan declares he is coming with her. They will meet after he ties up a few loose ends at the hospital. - Rafe and Jordan are kissing at the club. He teases he has a knot in his back and gets her to rub it. He roguishly suggests they take it to his place and keep going. Jordan blushes she has to return to work but she would love to attend a private Super Bowl party Chez Rafe, They kiss and he grins he will see her then, his dark eyes filled with desire. - Brady heads downstairs and pauses between the open door and the mirror as Maggie and Victor ponder his predicament. Maggie snaps he could kill himself. Victor notes that he would need to want rehab for it to work. The Greek has a better idea. He will let him know he is concerned and Brady will be required to prove himself. But he will keep him close so if he drinks he will know about it! He could even offer him a Titan suite and keep an eye on him there. He steps away to make some calls. Maggie now gets a call from Dan, who explains he has an emergency consultation out of town. He asks her to sign for Parker's first bike when it is delivered. Nicole will be out of town on an assignment. Brady is still watching and taking it all in. Maggie agrees and Brady notices she has the keys to Dan's apartment! - Dan now calls Chloe (unseen/unheard) and she puts Parker on the phone, Dan the man is proud of his boy and loves and misses him. He promises they will see each other soon. He ends the call with a fatherly smile. - Nicole is packed and ready at the apartment. She flashes back to Eric's declaration of love as well as her own and braces herself for whatever comes next. - Eric informs Brother Tim he would not consider it a sign from God if the Church did not want him back. Nicole deserves better than to be his second choice. Tim calls his intentions honorable. He suggests what he wants might not always be what God wants, but it might be what he needs. That is what he must understand before he leaves. - Nick mentions their bad feelings being water under the bridge and proudly shows Kate his latest idea. Waterproof makeup and it will not run from any moisture, no blood, sweat or tears. Diva Kate is intrigued, then suggests a consulting fee. Nick, however, demands a full-time position with perks. He is here to stay! She calls it impossible. He calls impossible his middle name. - EJ follows Abigail into an empty staff room and she is pleasantly surprised. He drawls he had a board meeting. She gasps uncomfortably and starts to go. He says to wait. She turns around and gives him a hopeful look. - Brady Black, man in black, pockets the key to Dan's apartment and stares at Maggie and Victor when they return to the living room. - Tim points out that Eric has not considered all the options before him. There is another. Eric concludes he means he might have to let go of the Church as well as Nicole. His eyes are filled with dread. - Dan gets Nicole's suitcase and they are on their way! - Naturally at the cabin there is a wall safe concealed behind a picture. Dr. Chyka opens it and removes the cash and the gun. He puts back his envelope, cash, but keeps the gun close. - EJ pleasantly states it is inevitable they will be running into one another, With time, he believes it will be easier. Abigail gasps in agreement, then takes her clipboard and walks out, touching her hair. She sighs outside the door, clutching the clipboard, then keeps going. EJ blinks. - Nick threatens to take his million-dollar idea elsewhere. Corporate Kate talks freelance. Mad World is simply not mad enough for him! Nick, however, already knows who could assist him. The watcher in the woods appears at his side with a boisterous GREETINGS! Nick grins up at his trusted friend. Kate blanches ...! END |
