He suggests he make it clear to Holly he cares for HER. Tate is angry about Ava dropping the baby bomb in front of Sophia's mother ... Meanwhile Ava marches to the mansion and demands Kristen come clean about the texts that Steve traced here! Rachel is listening outside the door ... Brady refuses to blame Ava. Tate starts to yell and decides to go tell Holly ... but Sophia’s mom is already at the door ... Holly assumes the girl Tate got pregnant had the abortion by now, Doug tries to make her feel better and she thanks him for his support. After the call she assures herself she and Tate will be together again. Here comes smiling Sophia ... - Holly wonders. Holly assumes she has had the abortion and gets confused when she mentions nausea and how she will get even bigger. Then she does the math and her face falls ... Brady admits he summoned Amy and graciously greets her. Tate wants to go but Amy wants him to stay. Brady agrees and they all sit. Amy primly compliments the place and gets straight to the subject of the wedding. Brady blinks. Tate's face falls ... Doug informs unseen unheard phone Leo he will be meeting his creditors tonight but the money was not the amount they wanted. Julie comes along and he gets tense ... Kristen denies sending the text and suggests it could have been anyone in the house ... including Johnny Chanel EJ. Most peeps in this house hate Ava! Ava argues Kristen cannot deal with Brady wanting HER. Here comes raging Rachel! - Doug gets off the phone to greet Julie, who alas has not been able to sleep. She wishes him a happy new Year and gets teary about not having Doug to plan the year with anymore. He is sincerely sorry. She hates seeing late hubby's now empty side of the bed. She weeps he will always be in her heart. Doug gives her a hug ... Sophia updates horrified Holly on her mother stopping her and Tate and now making them have the baby ... Meanwhile Brady is caught off guard by Amy's wedding demand. Tate starts to protest but Amy wants to protect the unborn grandchild. Brady sides with his son cos the kids are not a couple. Making them marry is no solution. Amy quips neither is abortion ... Raging Rachel kicks Ava out. Kristen seconds that. Ava warns Kristen next time she will call the cops and leaves. Mommy senses smug little Rachel was responsible for those texts. The girl in the pink cardigan denies it. Mommy wants the truth. She may have but she wanted her and daddy together. Kristen smiles she will get them out of the mess ... - Brady argues the kids were about to head to college. Amy acts like Sophia was wrong to trust reckless Tate. Amy is pro-life. Brady promises they will step up financially and more to meet the baby's needs. Amy will be in touch and leaves. Tate thanks his father for his support but is anxious to see Holly before someone says something ... Sophia sighs about her mom making her have the baby and wanting her and Tate to wed. Holly's face falls ... Doug praises Julie for being strong and looking out for the family. He now gets a summons to the dark park in 20 minutes and lies it was Holly. Julie assures him she will be alright so he heads out... - Ava drops by Brady's place to wish him a happy New Year. He sighs about Mrs. Choi demanding the kids wed. He got around it - for now. Ava is sorry she said anything. She now bears more bad news. She confronted Kristen for the texts cos Steve traced them to the mansion. Kristen denied it, Rachel got upset and Kristen kicked her out. Brady will deal with it ... Stylish Kristen tells daughter no more texts to Ava. She lectures her for threatening people. Rachel reasons all DiMeras do that. Kristen does not want her daughter to have enemies. She now demands her phone and will have Harold Change the wifi password. Rachel stomps off in a snit. Kristen wonders if father is happy now but Stefano's foreboding portrait has no answer ... - Rattled Holly calls Doug, who answers at the dark park. Tate arrives and she ends the call. She already heard the news from Sophia and feels like a fool! Tate swears they will not wed and it will all be over in nine months. She laments it will never be over and storms out ... Two thugs demand the money from Doug, who promises he will have the rest soon. He needs more time but they tell him tis too late ... Julie reads her recent messages ... Brady confronts Kristen at the mansion and blasts her for the childish texts. She explains it was their daughter who sent them ... Tate happens upon Sophia, who is having hot chocolate at the square. She admits saw Holly. He did too but she bolted ... The deadly goons depart the Salem Park. Holly arrives. She finds Doug bloodied and unconscious and gasps in holy horror ...! STAY TUNED ...
