LINK ONLY! posted on July 11 early afternoon est FACING THE MUSIC ... - Gabi follows Chad through the town square and tries to prevent him from worrying about Mel. Dan has been summoned and updated on her situation. He has also spoken with Carly and is present at the town square. Abigail and Cam arrive, as Chad emailed them both. They are given the latest info. Abigail wonders where Mel can be if not with her mother. Chad asks Gabi to talk to Mel’s co-workers, etc, who might know something. Dan and Chad intend to head straight to the cops. Abigail laments to Cam what if she never sees her friend again. He holds her tight. - Mel’s crazed captor rages and screams that she would not have tried to escape if she really liked him! She pretends he is a good guy but he is still angry. In the midst of his fit, he receives a text from Gabi that they must talk, then grabs crying, protesting Mel, and roughly ties her hands behind her back. He cruelly ignores her pleas as she cries he is hurting her. - At the condo, John has a plan. They will go to the board of directors and suggest they strip EJ of his power. Marlena is all for it. Lucas drawls he is in and he will do whatever he needs! They conspire to steal the company from EJ. Marlena still has concerns. John looks up from his computer and explains he will suggest to the board members that the new ownership would be a good thing. Lucas is pumped. - At the apartment, replay of Sami and EJ about to kiss as she whispers she hates him. She moves still closer but he appears to hesitate. He then starts to kiss her lips for a split second but she jumps back and yells why does this keep happening! He is not happy about it either and agrees with her that nothing happened here. But EJ remains miffed she is not standing by him. Sami keeps playing it cool. When he becomes more upset that she thinks he killed Stefano and is on the verge of storming out, she stops him from leaving. “I don’t want you to go,” she quietly confesses. - Bo and Hope are at the station. The mood is light as Hope converses with Ciara on the phone about day camp. They will have pizza and see their daughter soon. Enter somber Dan and Chad. They update Bo and Hope on Mel being missing. Chad is convinced something has happened to her. Dan explains she sent him an email but that is all. Chad wants them to do something. Bo realizes they live together now. Hope would like to check things out and asks for the keys. Bo requests the password for her email account. He will investigate any activity on her credit card, phone, and email. - Gabi comes down to Andrew’s basement as he emerges from Mel’s room. She implores him to let Mel go now! They know she is missing and have gone to the police. He removes his mask, his eyes strange. Gabi panics her cop brother will never forgive her if he finds out. The captor must let her go right away! Andrew snaps if he frees Mel, she will run straight to the cops and tell them where he lives. Gabi insists she does not even know who he is. He laughs he is invisible but she is not. “I know where you are Gabi, and if the cops come looking for me, I’m just gonna tell them that you put me up to it!” She doubts they would believe him. He bitterly notes he may only be a photographer’s assistant but he is now calling the shots! Gabi threatens to tell Rafe the cop that he was obsessed with Melanie. He, however, is sure he can send her directly to jail and holds up a recorder. He plays the damning conversation of Gabi agreeing he should keep Mel out of the way. Gabi is horrified. “Oh my God!” He warns he can send it to the Salem P.D. with one mere click and then she will be finished! - At the pub, Abigail has called Maggie, who is presently out of town with her hubby. According to the redhead, Mel did not request any time off from her job at the spa. Cam has managed to find out she got together with a friend two days before she left but said absolutely nothing about going anywhere. Abigail admits she does not know much about Mel’s previous life. Cam points out she probably has friends in different places they are not even aware of. Abigail fears something bad has happened. Cam wants her to keep the faith. She woefully recalls how papa Jack used to take off on adventures and vanish, though he always came back eventually. Cam reasons Mel might have left due to her fight with Chad. Abigail wonders why she has not contacted anyone. She soon gets off the phone with Phillip (unseen/unheard) who has not heard from Mel. Cam tries to calm her down. She complains about Jack vanishing often, then realizes he had it rough too. Cam admits he missed having his mother while growing up. She touches his hand and tries to make him feel better. - At the station, Dan is on the phone, rearranging his schedule. He wants to learn more about Mel. Chad is an emotional wreck. Bo now bears news and it does not look good! - Lucas ends a phone call and smugly informs John that his old contact from Hearth and Home shared that his golf buddy Don Alexander is not keen on EJ. John muses they are indeed getting their message through to all board members, except for Charlie. Marlena smiles she has that one covered, for they happen to have the same massage therapist! - Sami tells EJ not to look at her like that. He remarks she was the one who asked him to stay. She laments he got under her skin and it made her say things. She believes he loves Stefano and for the sake of their children, does not want to believe he killed him. EJ muses that does not sound very promising. Sami points out he failed the polygraph test, his fingerprints were found, and he has no alibi! He too would be suspicious of her in such a scenario. EJ woefully picks up a framed photograph of the children and asks her to face him. “I didn’t do it.” She urges him to prove it to her but EJ complains he cannot do that , much as he wishes he could … Read Part 2, with Sami and EJ interrupted by Lucas. board members react to John's plan, Bo and Hope's new intel on Mel ...! |
