He wants to know what is happening. The cops are taking EJ to the station. That’s what’s happening! Sami rushes back, accuses EJ of playing her for a fool, since he is no DiMera. “Bastard!” She slaps him across the face and rages he lied to her! EJ quietly says he can explain but he is carted off by the cops. Lucas now turns on Sami, dismayed he found her with DiMera yet again. He demands she make her choice - a life with him or a life with EJ! Sami walks into the living room and pours herself a drink. She wants to know how Lucas knew about EJ not being Stefano’s father. Lucas updates her on finding the letter, then demands to know why she was at the mansion. She explains she was trying to help EJ and she was right, as someone fished out those gloves when he discarded them. They found the footage to prove it. Lucas is exasperated she has not considered EJ would only have gotten rid of the gloves if he were guilty. Why does she never listen to him! Why does she keep on believing what comes out of EJ’s mouth! Sami stares. Lucas was under the assumption they had moved on. Sami insists she cares about justice for all, plus she wants to protect Will. Lucas wonders why he believed she had changed. She is like the same old Sami. She quips that is not fair. Lucas laments he wants to spend the rest of his life with her so she must choose and let him know whether it is him or EJ! He storms out after issuing the ultimatum. Sami calls after him that he is dead wrong and she intends to prove it. She grabs her handbag and marches off. - Madison and Brady are in the conference room, back from his stint in rehab. Madison wants her tablet. Enter Kate and Ian. Ian reacts upon hearing they intend to wed tomorrow with a dark stare. Madison is NOT marrying him! Brady gets sarcastic about Ian losing it because he is losing control. Ian hits back by asking how long he will stay sober. Brady alludes to his slipping him drugs. Madison attempts to silence Ian when he gets nasty. Brady threatens to put his ass in the trash if he ever messes with them again. Ian leers his threats are ineffectual. Madison warns him not to underestimate Brady. A man who drugs a recovering addict is no man at all. Brady, on the other hand, had the strength to kick the habit again. Ian would not have lasted 20 seconds. She defiantly thanks him for also showing his true colors, for she is no longer bewitched by his phony charm. Brady stands beside her. “And if you don’t stay away from us, it’ll be your funeral!” Kate listens quietly. Ian peers like a reptile. Brady puts his arm around his girl. Ian calls the threat dumb, given there are witnesses present. Lucas arrives and asks if everything is alright. Brady boasts they are getting married at midnight! The happy couple take their leave. Ian impatiently wants to know what Lucas wants. He bears news. Kate hopes he finally came to his senses and dumped Sami. Lucas grins EJ was arrested for murdering Stefano and he saw him being carted off in handcuffs! Kate looks at Ian, who says nothing . - Nicole is in her room. She gets a cramp and assures herself it will be fine, then greets the visitor at her door. She has set a romantic table for two. When Dan the visitor enters, he glares at the spread. “What in the hell is going on here!” He rages his daughter is missing and she only wants to seduce him. She explains she wanted to consult with him as a doctor and felt badly so she ordered him dinner. She cries she wanted to take care of him. Dan sighs he is sorry. The stress is getting to him. She realizes he is upset but thought he needed a break. Dan gets choked up about needing to find his daughter. The desperate doc fights back the tears. She offers him a drink. He refuses, as he would rather keep a clear hear. He hopes she is alright, since she was seeking medical advice from him. She states she is fine, then clutches her baby bump again. Dan decides to check her out. He later takes off his stethoscope the serious way doctors do and puts it away. Both she and the baby are fine. She wonders about his look. He calls it his look of concern. He notes every little pain is frightening her. In fact, she is so afraid she cannot admit it to herself. Nicole woefully wonders whether he thinks she is foolish. Quite the opposite. He thinks she is amazing! He puts her mind at ease by assuring her they can monitor things. So far, the baby’s heartbeat is strong. Nicole thanks him, amazed his daughter is missing and yet he can still think of her. He points out she was there for him. They are helping each other. Nicole asks him to stay and eat something, so he can take care of himself too. - At the police station, handcuffed EJ is in a chair. He announces he will not speak until his lawyer is present. Will arrives, wanting to speak with EJ. Roman says no. EJ points out he has every right to have counsel with him. Rafe disagrees. EJ smirks their case could be thrown out on such a technicality. Roman agrees Will may speak with him, but quietly warns his grandson DiMera is going down and he does not want him to go down with him. Rafe reminds EJ the place is wired and their conversation is not privileged. Will sits across from EJ and assures him he had nothing to do with this. His father found the letter. EJ is not that fussed about the Brady incompetence. He mutters he needs him to find some surveillance footage and give it to his lawyer. - Rafe and Roman escort EJ into another room and he repeats he will not speak without his lawyer. They taunt him that his cell is being prepared. EJ can guarantee that when this is all over, they will both end up on the unemployment line. They scoff and exit. EJ stands up. The smile fades from his face and he kicks the suspects board. Enter Sami. She places her hands upon her hips and warns him not to lie to her again. The smile returns to his face. She is not interested when he teases her for managing to gain access. She has more pressing things on her mind. “You lied to me again!” she exclaims. He reasons he merely withheld information. She snaps it is the same thing. He laughs. Sami rages on. Lucas is about to break up with her because she got close to him again. Every time she does that, everything blows up. “It is all your fault!” EJ does not hide the fact that he is enjoying her frazzled display of anger. - Elsewhere Commissioner Roman gets off the phone and complains to Rafe and Spencer that according to the D.A., EJ will probably make bail at his arraignment. Rafe crumples up a paper and tosses it in frustration. Something is not right with this whole scenario. - At DiMera mansion, Will confidentally searches for the surveillance footage EJ requested on his laptop. He is accompanied by good pal Sonny, who exclaims he feels like he is hanging out with his friend in the temple of doom! And worse yet, he is helping him clear a DiMera’s name! Will insists EJ did not do the crime. Sonny leans over to look at the monitor and notes he is in over his head. When the footage starts to play, Will says I told you so. “Someone is setting him up!” They watch it together. Graphics guru Sonny now sits at the computer as Will asks him to zoom in on the mysterious figure. Sony obliges, though he is not sure why. Will claims it proves someone was setting EJ up. EJ threw out his gloves, then someone took them. Sonny is not so sure that the two incidents are related. He also suggests EJ throwing away the gloves makes him appear guilty. Nevertheless, he wants to oblige Will and proceeds to zoom in. - Ian gets a faraway look in his eye and stands silently in the background shadows. Lucas updates Kate on EJ’s motive for murder, the fact that he was not Stefano’s son after all He is still annoyed that Sami rushed to his defense and adds it is Kate’s fault that she still feels strongly about people being framed for murders they did not commit. Diva Kate rolls her eyes. “Whatever. That girl never gets over anything!” Ian wants to hear more about Sami thinking EJ was framed. Lucas tells them of the surveillance footage of someone taking EJ’s gloves out of the trash. Ian’s face remains impassive. He sips the coffee in his black mug and then flashes back to watching EJ, fishing his gloves from the dumpster. He now sighs, excuses himself for a conference call. Exit Ian. Kate suspects he is upset, just as she suspects Lucas is upset about Sami. He adds Will to the list, as he does not want either one involved with EJ. Kate explains EJ is the sun in Sami’s orbit. So it has been written. She does not understand why Lucas even bothers. Lucas replies it is because he loves her. “And in the end, I hope she loves me too.” - Meanwhile, EJ responds to Sami ...
