He saunters in without being invited. Again ... Theo updates Chad on Lani vanishing ... Eli comes to see woman in red Paulina. He deduces someone made Lani miss her deadline ... Rafe gets a little pulse from Lani down at the docks ... Marlena cannot reach Whitley. She and Kayla feel for her horrible loss of hubby and cats caused by a space heater years past. Doc now gets a call from John that makes her gasp ... Groggy Abe whispers Paulina's name and complains he is tired. Whitley brings out the space heater. Sinister music plays. She puts the stuffed cats in his lap and recalls how she found them together that tragic day. Today she will make sure they are all together forever! She now sees Marlena called ... Marlena marvels and tells John to come home. She updates Kayla on Jerry insisting to Steve and John that Abe lives! The actor was paid by Whitley to keep his silence. Steve has already left a message for Jada. Kayla gasps they have got to get somebody to Abe stat! - Eli assures anxious Paulina that when they find Lani, she will explain her absence. At least the ankle monitor will lead the law to her ... Jada has summoned an ambulance. Rafe is bewildered but the US Marshal finds a syringe. Lani's eyes eventually half open and she gasps daddy ... Chad feels for Theo, who called Claire with the latest. Chad is here to help and assures him Jada and Rafe will not rest until Lani is located. Theo asks about the new place with Stephanie. Chad complains about Alex crowding them from across the hall ... Alex offers to help Steph with her work. She blows him off. He laughs he can take a hint and she calls him obnoxious ... Alas Marlena cannot reach Rafe. Kayla concludes he and Jada are already en route to Whitley's home. They marvel Abe is alive. Kayla gets paged to ER ... Marlena gets her bag and takes off to do something ... - Whitley woefully remembers how she lost her husband and promises Abe he will never be alone. They will go to the other side where they will be together forever. She turns on the heater and gas spews out, then snuggles against him with her stuffed cats, waiting to go to the other side together. Abe smells something ... Eli calls Rafe again, asking about the search, Rafe reveals Lani was just brought to the hospital ... Jada joins Kayla in Lani's room and shows her the syringe that was found. Sleeping beauty Lani will need the right antidote in order to survive! Medicine woman Kayla is on it ... Chad opens up to Theo about annoying Alex briefly seeing Stephanie before he was in the picture. Now they are pals but Alex is clearly after her again since he moved across the hall. He even showed up half nekid to shower and stayed for Chinese food. Tis too much ... Steph is mad Alex helped himself to Chad's robe as well as their Chinese dinner. He apologizes ... Kayla informs worried Rafe and Jada that Lani was jabbed with a powerful sedative. She is responding to the drug they administered to counter it. The medicine woman realizes they have been too busy to hear about Whitley having Abe. They are on their way! - Marlena slowly opens Whitley's door and tells her to get out with Abe cos the air is toxic. Whitley insists Abe is her husband and refuses ... Alex assures mini dress Steph he now sees he overstepped. He has had sessions with Marlena and she wonders how he would explain it to her. He confesses he could be jealous cos he lost her and claims he was not aware. Steph does not buy it and tells him he is close to losing her even as a friend ... Theo gets a call from Kayla, who updates him on Lani being found. He is over the moon and she suggests he come. He gives Chad the good news and they are on their way ... Paulina and Eli enter Lani's room. She opens her beautiful eyes and speaks their names. She feels alright. They are shocked to hear Whitley wanted to off her and Abe is alive. Kayla comes in and confirms it ... - Marlena wants the heater turned off. Whitley grabs an umbrella. Marlena apologizes for not helping her before. Whitley blames herself for the cats and hubby dying alone. Marlena assures her it was an accident and tells her to trust in her. Rafe and Jada burst in and Jada gets her gun on Whitley, ordering her to FREEZE ... Paulina and Eli get the whole story from Lani, who explains Jerry came clean to John and Steve. Rafe and Jada are already en route to Whitley's place to get Abe. Paulina hears all about what Whitley did. She marvels her beloved Abe is alive ... Whitley threatens with a lighter ... to make the place blow up. Jada warns they will not leave without Abe. Marlena promises to help and urges her to let Abe return home to family. Whitley warns she she will send them all to the other side. Marlena appeals to her nurse's code and promises to help her. Abe takes her hand and she lets Marlena have the lighter. Then she starts to break down ... - Alex claims he gets it and starts to go. Steph wonders what changed. Alas he fears he will never have what she and Chad have. Steph tries to pep talk him. He hopes they are still friends and promises not to be a jerk. They hug. Here comes mad Chad, who shoves him away from his girl. He shouts he forced himself on her! Steph assures him she hugged first cos they spoke. Alex apologizes for how he was and is on their side. He thanks him for the robe and goes. Chad realizes he overreacted ... Paulina marvels Abraham is alive and cannot wait to see him. She kisses her heroic precious girl and goes. Eli sighs Lani did not wait for backup. She asks about Abe. He tells her he is safe and kisses her hand. She gazes up at him ... Rafe opens the window wide as Jada ends a call with the captain. The prisoner will be arriving soon. She reads Whitley her rights as she rocks with her cat. Mental health help will be waiting ... Paulina is over the moon as Marlena arrives at the hospital with Abe. Theo is amazed.
