Elsewhere Theo has seen it and gasps to recently arrived Eli he is losing all this loved ones. Lani steps forward, assures him he has not lost her and gives little brother a sweet embrace. Eli got her released for Abe's service and she is wearing an ankle monitor. She wishes she could have come sooner to help track Abe. Eli insists Steve, John and Rafe did everything possible. Theo does not understand how Abe could just vanish. Lani tells him to be strong ... Steve has spent the whole night in his kitchen pouring over the clues. Kayla sips her coffee. Drums play ... - Chanel suggests they have the bistro lasagna that Maggie and Victor sent over. Paulina is still in her bathrobe and refuses to move from the sofa. She wants her daughter to sit too so Chanel does and hugs her ... Whitley smoothly suggests the awful news would be bad enough to give Abe a seizure. She cries she cannot lose him! Abe apologizes. The nurse loathes leaving him home alone but must get ready for work ... Marlena feels John and Steve did all humanly possible to find Abe. John feels guilty about giving Paulina hope. The clues are clear and there was even an eyewitness to Abe ... Lani is relieved to be with family and tells lonely Theo that the babies are with their grandma. Some early fireworks explode and Theo exclaims tis Lani and Eli's anniversary. They decided not to celebrate now due to Abe. Theo believes Abe would want them to. Lani cries she cannot and Eli holds her. They invite Theo to visit Paulina with them but the young man has a certain matter to attend to ... Steve finds it a strange coincidence that Abe was not seen for ages until that one eyewitness saw him disappear into the water. Tis too convenient. Someone had to be looking after him. Kayla gets worried. Knock knock! Tis Theo. The guys hug and Steve apologizes for not solving the case. Theo thanks Steve and Kayla for the donation they made in Abe's memory. Kayla hugs him and tells him they are here for him always ... - John flashes back to the old days down at the docks. Good man Abe was a good friend after John found out he was not Roman. Marlena tries to console the silver fox ... Abe suggests they invite Theo over. Whitely lies he went back to South Africa. When he dropped by to say bye Abe was sleeping. He asks after stepdaughter Chanel ... Paulina really regrets the past. She had so many secrets from Abe. Here come Lani and Eli, who cheer her up ... Theo appreciates the food at Steve and Kayla's and smiles his sister is back ... Kayla is relieved all the loves ones will be there to bid farewell to Abe. Theo sadly states what happened makes no sense ... Lani is grateful for her short leave with the family. She finds the whole story of what happened to Abe surreal. Paulina complains they do not even have Abraham’s body! - Whitley stammers Chanel is so busy at the bakery and brings up soap beech Lorna on body and Soul. She turns on the TV. John and Steve are having a tough time accepting Abe is no more. John brings up his dream of Abe walking away. Marlena is intrigued and now hears it ended with Abe not being able to stay and walking back into the fog. Now that she has all the details, Marlena deduces it was John's mind telling him something. Steve agrees and suggests he and the silver fox reinstate their investigation. The boys are back on the case! - Meanwhile Lani is looking at the lab report. She recalls when she first arrived in Salem, determined to prove good man Abe was her bio-dad. Alas he was not. Eli insists he was in the ways that matter most. Lani is surprised when Eli shows her the headshot of Jerry, the last witness to see Abe, He is now known to be a professional actor ... Abe is stunned to see an actor on the retro soap he is watching who happens to look like the lad he thinks is Theo ...
