EJ is clearly pleased, but not Nicole ... Gabi and Rafe have a happy reunion at the square. Here comes crime fan Connie, who congratulates Gabi on going free. She was a friend to Li and thanks God for the justice, the fact that his real killer was uncovered. Gabi thanks her. Rafe's antennae go up ... - EJ is utterly elated to hear Eric leaves today but pretends to be sympathetic ... Eric comes to see Marlena, who wishes he would stay but understands his need for space. He breathes thank you and knows she knows Nicole is another reason he must leave Salem ... EJ takes to the podium and pontificates about justice. He boasts they believe the real killer of Li Shin is a dead drug dealer. He talks justice for Gabriella and boasts he gave the judge the new proof so Gabi was freed. He now asks her to say a few words - so she can sing his praises. Red dress Gabi seizes the opportunity ... Sleazy Bobby suggests he and Jada go somewhere private. She turns to leave so he agrees to start talking ... Kristen summons Melinda to the mansion and has her contract ready. Melinda loves the pay package and signs. Kristen now demands the truth about EJ. Melinda will only say he has his own interests in mind ... Gabi emotionally praises hubby Stefan who fought for her freedom ... Jada is getting impatient. Bobby blurts out he has intel on Li Shin's murder ... Gabi praises Rafe and is relieved Li's real murderer is now known ... Meanwhile Connie sneaks into Li's old apartment and remembers viciously stabbing him in the back with the kitchen knife ... Eric admits to Marlena that Nicole will always have his heart ... Reporter Nicole asks Gabi to reveal what role the D.A. played in overturning her case. Gabi explains and also accuses him of wrongfully accusing her at the start. His judgement was clouded by personal pettiness. Like her, he acts out of emotion. She now accuses EJ of sending her to the slammer out of hate but freeing her out of love for Nicole. Nicole is flabbergasted. Gabi announces he acted out of fear he would lose her to Eric. Nicole wonders. Gabi announces Nicole still loves Eric, who is the real father of her baby!
