At the station Rafe is frustrated there is no fiber or evidence to clear Gabi. Eli feels awful she was once again wrongly accused. Rafe worries what it will do to her ... At the loft Tripp is leaving Ciara another desperate message when Claire comes in. She assures him Ciara care take care of herself but feels badly about what went down ... Abe and Hope discuss Ben Weston so Hope shares that Chad paid him to leave town forever. Mayor Abe wants the maniac far from all their loved ones ... Ben dramatically carries unconscious Ciara to the cabin where he once held Abigail captive and places her on the bed, feeling overwhelmed ... Tripp just wishes he knew for sure Ciara was alright. Steve said to give her space but he has a bad feeling ... Ben gently dabs Ciara’s bloodied face and slowly looks around the room. Eerie music plays as he remembers Abigail’s screams when he held her hostage here. He taunted it was just them two. He now gasps back to the reality he is hanging onto by a thread and tells sleeping Ciara it is just the two of them ... Val is at the square café with Lani, who admits she is anxiously awaiting the birth of her baby. Glam Val asks to be there when it happens. Lani had not thought about that. Val realizes she pushed her to reveal Eli was the father but ... Lani now agrees she was right ... Rafe laments to Eli his sister cannot catch a break. Her life is like an ongoing nightmare. They have to bring her home from that hell ... Abe smiles and thanks Hope for the good news cos it seems they dodged the Ben bullet. He now gets to the personal aspect of her life and asks how it goes with Rafe. She sighs she cancelled the annulment but things alas are not moving much. Abe proceeds to politely argue Rafe has had to forgive Hope at times sooo ... Tripp leaves Hope a message asking to discuss Ciara. He assumes the girl’s mom is avoiding him as she complained ... Ben takes in his surroundings and feels the pressure. Then he begs Ciara to wake up and remembers when he was there with Abigail and she begged him to untie her. He raged he could not trust her ... Lani declares Eli did deserve the truth. Val tenderly tells her she was thinking of her as well when she forced her hand. Lani understands and forgives her. Val emotionally thanks her ... Hope gets testy about Abe making light of her hurt feelings. He suggests she focus on why she and Rafe fell in love in the first place. She is trying ... Eli ends a call and updates Rafe on a guy who was in the slammer with Raines. He might have more soon. Rafe steps out to give him privacy and spies Hope standing with Abe. Hope smiles ... Claire feels badly about kissing Tripp and how he is now moping. He was right to stop when he did. She will explain to Ciara. Tripp fears he might have blown it ... Ciara moans. Ben flashes back to Abigail giving birth in that same bed. He rejoiced over their son but later took out the midwife to murder her. He hears the gunshot again and holds his head ... Lani and Val are closer than ever. But Dr. Val has a patient to see before she meets Abe. She leaves as Claire arrives. Claire complains to Lani that Theo broke up with her and cries she is a bad person. Lani suggests everyone has two sides but Claire feels guilty as soap sin. Lani wonders. Claire confesses she almost made love with Tripp the other night and it was all her fault ... Abe gushes he is going to give Rafe and Hope a moment alone and steps away. Hope now sees she has a message from Tripp about Ciara. She worries and promises Rafe they can talk later. Rafe solemnly agrees ... Ben can see Ciara is cold and looks for blankets. In a closet he comes across the shovel with which he buried the murdered midwife. Abigail did not believe she had to die but Ben was obsessed with protecting his son from the whole world. He shoves the shovel back and tries to pull himself together. Easier said than done ... Hope drops by in person to speak with Tripp, who babbles about Ciara thinking he was with Claire. He asks Hope to have her contact him and admits she caught them together but nothing really happened. Hope stops him and states she gets it ... Eli updates Rafe on getting Raines’ snitch friend to get the names of all Diane’s friends and enemies. That will help Gabi’s case. Rafe is grateful. Eli admits he will be busy soon with the new baby. Rafe envies him having wanted a baby of his own ... Ben hyperventilates at the cabin as more memories return to haunt him. He flashes back to tying up unconscious Chad as Abigail cried and begged him to stop, the crying baby in her arms. Now he stares at his killer hands and starts to sob ... Back at the square Claire updates Lani on Ciara misunderstanding a moment and fleeing. She feels to blame. Lani the sage admits she too made a bad mistake that led her to another. To err is human so she will not judge ... Rafe recounts to Eli how close he got to Sydney and Johnny after he married Sami. He still misses them though they keep in touch. And then he got close to Ciara after Bo died. He grins what a good kid she was. But times got tough ... Tripp feels awful about Chase since he heard the truth. Hope assumes sad Ciara is in her room. Tripp replies she never came home and he assumed she was with her mother. Hope assumed she was at the loft ... Ben realizes Ciara needs to stay warm and finds a blanket but that too brings back bad memories. He had chained Abigail on the burning bed with Chad. He looks down at innocently sleeping Ciara ... Lani reasons Claire was just trying to feel loved but she is loved by many. Claire cries she does not deserve their love and Lani hugs her ... Tripp and Hope wonder where oh where Ciara could be ... Hope tries to call ... Ben remembers taking the baby after he lit the lighter. He has found the burnt lighter on the floor and lights it again as if in a trance. Ciara suddenly sits up, assumes the worst, and gasps in soap terror ... STAY TUNED! |
