At DiMera mansion Megan ends her call quickly when she sees EJ standing there. He accuses her of plotting to kill him ... John and Steve promise Paulina they are looking at all leads. They ask about the nurse. Paulina believes that the nurse knew nothing ... Abe realizes he must wait until Paulina comes home and gets back to watching the retro soap ... - Gabi hugs Stefan and teases him about his family. He reasons they have mansions and millions. Gabi enjoys the good life but not the drama. He suggests tonight they forget the DiMeras and they kiss in bliss ... Li is surprised. Wendy hugs him and sarcastically asks about father. He lies he has hired a matchmaker ... Gabi and Stefan make mad passionate love ... Silver fox John ends a call with Roman, who is retracing the officers' steps. Steve promises Paulina they are gonna get a break. Paulina is a bundle of nerves. Steve insists Abe will be home soon. He, Roman and John have been through this drill many times ... - Abe wishes fake Paulina would get home soon to answer his questions. Meanwhile the drama on the retro soap continues ... Enter Whitley, who loves he was watching her fave show. He demands to know why she failed to reveal he was Salem's mayor and wonders what other lies she told ... John promises real Paulina that Abe knows they are searching. Steve adds he would be recognized anywhere in Salem ... Abe blasts fake Paulina for failing to say he was ever mayor. She stammers it was brief and after he decided to open the other biz. He exclaims what happened. Alas his rival EJ DiMera impeached him ... Megan denies conspiring against EJ and refuses to go. He hisses he will have security throw her out. She warns against it ... Wendy actually believes Li wants a matchmaker to get him the perfect girl and assumes father was involved. He shows her his final divorce papers. His marriage to Gabi died and he blames Stefan ... Gabi and Stefan are out of breath after the lovin. He tells her they will get the master suite soon. They will also be wed. Gabi gets worried about the bad luck that befell them the last time. He gives her a passionate kiss, vowing nothing and no one can separate them ... Megan comes clean to EJ about plotting to off Stefan, not him! EJ stares in disbelief at the ease with which the maniac mentions offing a different brother ... - Gabi and Stefan are out of breath and he hopes Jake's heart is strong. Now he wants another round. She suggests the shower. He teases to make the water hot while he heads downstairs to get cook to prepare a romantic dinner. Gabi likes the sound of that ... Wendy is sympathetic with Li. He makes light of it and she praises him for letting go ... EJ rages why would Megan want to off Stefan! She wants to make Gabi vulnerable so more power becomes available. EJ is appalled she would want to off her own flesh and blood. She acts like Stefano would do that and they bicker. Megan slyly suggests Stefan out of the way would benefit them both ... John and Steve know someone is holding Abe the Salem icon. Steve suggests it could be about money but John is not so certain. Paulina complains she is losing her mind. Steve insists Abe can survive anything ... Whitley praises Abe to the heavens. He demands the deets on his impeachment. She explains shady Jen Horton gave EJ ammunition to claim he had cheated. EJ is still the mayor according to her. Abe senses the real truth is very different ...Whitley calls him Pookie (yikes that was the name of Nicole's late little dog!) Back to the story ... Abe is told he decided to leave politics in the past and make the world happy with ice cream. Whitley believes tis best to forget the past. He exclaims he needs his memory to know who he is! She excuses herself to make dinner - frozen fish sticks ... - Wendy praises Li for finally letting go of Gabi. He claims he was only fighting for the woman he looooooved in the past. She lists the loonie things he did in the name of love like brainwashing someone and recalls how he lost it over Gabi and Stefan. Thank heavens tis now in the past. Li stares strangely ... Towel clad Stefan comes back to Gabi and promises the perfect dinner. She will see downstairs ... Megan primly points out with no Stefan in the picture, they could take over Stefano's legacy. EJ reminds her of Kristen too and turns away to go warn Stefan and Gabi of her plan. She bashes him from behind with a vase and he falls to the floor unconscious ... Paulina leaves Steve and John to continue their search. Steve promises they will bring hubby Abe home to her. Hawkish John drawls that's a fact ... Fatigued Abe and fake Paulina keep watching the soap while eating a frozen dinner. The episode is about amnesia. Paulina changes the subject to checkers ... Wendy wants to hear all about the matchmaker. Li lies they have to make a plan. She wonders how he found them. He searched online and she has great biz reviews about her ... killer instinct ... Megan drags unconscious EJ into the secret DiMera passageway and closes the door quickly when she hears Gabi and Stefan. They enter the living room and Stefan complains a cleaning lady must have broken the valuable vase. They step outside for their terrace dinner. Stefan is casual but Gabi is dressed in black ...
