Kayla enters DiMera mansion and hands Stefan the damning pictures of Kate with flunky Leo ... Meanwhile in her hotel room, Leo argues with Kate, who declares she does not want to take Titan down ... At the square Chad ends a call with a contact. Steve is sitting nearby and teases the wheeler dealer. He was happy to run into Abigail earlier. Chad gushes she is good now. Steve notes there seemed to be something as he suspected she was crying ... At the pub Abigail admits to bff Gabi she is pregnant. Gabi is sympathetic since it could be Stefan’s and suggests she not share that detail with Chad ... At the station Hope gasps to Rafe that Ciara could be with BEN. Rafe freezes ... Back at the cabin the new benevolent Ben smiles to Ciara that dinner will be served in an hour. She wishes she could shower even with the splint. Ben has a suggestion ... Kate lets Leo know that she wants CEO Chad to succeed at Titan. She tells him they are going for the settlement ... Stefan suspects Kate set up Sonny to take a Titan of a fall but wants to know what Kayla heard as well. Nothing but there were secret meetings and Leo and Kate must be working together. Stefan thinks this information is useful ... Steve states it could have been a cold that Abigail had. He asks how a DiMera could have gotten the Titan job. Chad replies Vic had to fire Sonny due to the lawsuit. He plans to use the power to take down Stefan, which the Kiriakis side is all for ... Abigail gasps she cannot lie to Chad. Gabi advises her to at least wait until she has the paternity test results. Abigail thinks it could take weeks and what if it is Stefan’s baby ... Hope cries and updates Rafe on the clues, the biggest one being that Ben was recently left at Route 17 ... Ben busily gets a wet towel for Ciara and agrees to head out so she has her privacy. She would also like her shirt washed. He turns and lets her have one of his. Then he walks out of the room ... Stefan has seen Leo before ... at the bar at Doug’s Place. He was conferring with Viv at the time. He praises Kayla as a P.I. She just wants what he promised. He offers to call Steve with the good news but she stops him ... Steve warns Chad that revenge is deadly. Besides Stefan is a sleaze. Chad is determined to make up what was done to all of them. And when he is CEO he will get the bionic eye technology back for Steve. Steve warns him to be careful. Chad wants to find his wife. Steve informs him Abigail is at the pub ... Still at the pub Abigail explains she and her integrated alters are aware that Gabi got into bed with Stefan as it was her idea. She apologizes to Gabi as eerie music plays. Gabi only wants to focus on her friend and the baby. Chad now joins them and wonders why the long faces. The girls go silent ... Rafe believes when Ben checks in with his doctors they will be able to locate him. In addition he will check with all local pharmacies as Ben will soon be needing his prescription refilled. He tries to remain calm. Hope is upset her daughter entrusted a dangerous offender who deserves to be locked away forever ... Ciara is having difficulty. Ben returns and offers to help. He gives her the knife to hang onto and sponges her leg. Ciara makes light of the irony. Mama Hope would hate this! She giggles as she is ticklish. He stops and she thanks him for getting her off the side of the road. She feels tickled again and her foot flies up, hitting him in the face. Ben falls back ... Kate shows Leo the settlement he should accept. He reminds her she promised him much more. She leers he was only a temp and loser of an artist. Therefore he should be thankful. But Leo feels betrayed by his boss. He flat out refuses to sign. Kate eyes him ... Stefan is baffled by Kayla stopping him. Kayla states Steve would turn him down so they have to find another way. Her husband hates Stefan for what he did to his beloved niece. He is not even aware of their arrangement. Stefan makes a snide remark. Kayla is serious. Stefan gets an idea ... Chad asks Abigail if she was really crying with Steve. Was it about Ben, who was just released? Abigail denies it but she and Gabi are appalled to hear the killer is on the loose. Chad updates them on making him leave town. He now wonders what they were discussing when he came in. Abigail has an announcement to make. Gabi gives her friend a very worried look ... Kate reminds Leo she calls the shots. He threatens to expose her. She counters he would face charges and end up in prison. He warns he could get a new lawyer. She warns him she has Ted under her control. He sneers he could tell Sonny he is sorry and get some money from him. They still have a connection. Kate warns he will never win him back so her way is his only option. Leo takes the papers and pauses with the pen. He decides he needs time and takes off. Kate snaps to hurry ... Kayla agrees to Stefan’s plan but will not shake his hand. She suspects he has something bad in store for Kate and poor Sonny will not be exonerated. Steve would be so upset if he knew she was withholding information about Sonny. Stefan slyly suggests then they both have an interest in keeping their silence about their association. Kayla declares they are done and departs. Stefan enjoys another drink alone ... Gabi interrupts Abigail’s almost admission by blurting out that she will be working for Stefan again. Chad has a bad reaction and suggests she work for him. Gabi says no thanks since she will not let Stefan steal Gabi Chic. Ring ring! Chad has to step away for a call. Gabi apologizes for butting in. Abigail appreciates she did and decides they now need DNA from both Chad and Stefan. Gabi can help with that. Abigail is grateful. Friends forever and this secret stays between the two of them for now ... Back at the station Rafe reminds Hope that Ciara did sound fine on the phone. She weeps she may have missed a clue. Rafe reasons even Marlena believes Ben is better. Hope fears he could have a relapse and it would be deadly ... Ciara is sorry for the kick. Ben grins and gets her foot dry. Done. "Thank you," says she. "You’re welcome," says he. The girl decides she does not need the knife after all ... Leo sulks outside the pub, determined to get mo money. He texts Sonny he has something important to tell him so they must meet asap ... Meanwhile Kate hears a knock at her door. Someone slips under an envelope. She assumes it is Leo’s signed settlement until she sees the picture of her pulling Leo into her room. Attached is a note from Stefan that they should talk ... At the square Kayla fibs to Steve that Stefan is selling his bionic eye to a company where she happens to have a contact. She could get him on the shortlist! Stefan is no longer in the picture. Steve is overwhelmed. She assures him it is true, he now has a chance to regain his sight. They clasp hands and he emotionally kisses hers ... Tick tock ... Ben realizes he is down to his last meds. He downs them and gets Ciara her dinner. She asks him to play music from the phone so he does and they dine together. The singer sings there is something in the air as they smile. Meanwhile Hope has put out an APB on Ben Weston. She cries on Rafe’s shoulder ... Kayla and Steve toast to her good news and embrace ... Cornered Kate tears the damning photo in half and tries to regain her composure ... Stefan toasts to his late mama Viv and downs his drink ... Abigail and Chad leave the pub. Gabi stares at a photo of Arianna on her phone, then glances back at the door where Chad and Abigail are kissing. She turns away with a grimace as the singer now sings of trouble in the air ...
