Meanwhile mommy dearests gets what she needs from her dingy Aremid attic. Here comes Kristen so mother hides her treasure behind her back. Kristen wants to know what it is ... Melinda admits she must take Kristen's orders and suggests Ava is no angel herself sooooo ... Paulina complains about EJ's mayhem and decides to do something good like reinstating Commiss Jada right now ... EJ argues he is not to blame for Arnold replacing him with himself. Johnny came to confront him about Sami!! - Jada is elated by Madam Mayor's executive decision. Rafe suggests they celebrate. Jada suggests they go home cos there are many cases to dig into. She wishes she could nail EJ and wonders whether Ava has any intel ... Chanel calmly asks Johnny what EJ did to Sami. EJ sits down with dread. But Johnny is just getting started. He retells the sordid tale about his demand of Sami to sleep with him once upon a time when Sami needed someone to help her save Lucas. Chanel stares in shock. EJ cannot fight back his tears of torment ... - Belle has tears in her eyes as she remembers kicking EJ out. Brady comes home with happy Rachel, who scurries off to put on her pajamas. Brady informs his curious sis that he insisted their daughter stay with him the night cos the nutty granny is still at the house ... Big Rachel grudgingly shows Kristen the gun in her hand ... Meanwhile Brady complains about the dangerous mom who even tried to stab Ava. Alas he had to avoid the cops cos it would have led back to Rachel's involvement. Ava did not take it well and wants to have some time. Brady unhappily assumes their love affair is over ... Melinda is happy for the cocktail and then notices Ava's injured hand. Ava sits and updates her on Kristen's crazy mom who tried to kill her. She is not pressing charges for Brady's sake so he does not lose custody of his daughter. But she is spooked since she is without protection. About that ... Melinda offers her own gun under a napkin ooo ... - Jada senses a connection between EJ and Kristen's mother. She still suspects EJ could have been holding her future hubby hostage at Aremid right under their nose ... Kristen is concerned about the gun and more importantly what her mum will use it for ... EJ stands and informs his son that he and Sami left that in the past. Johnny calls him sadistic. EJ blames Kate which makes Johnny even madder. He warns his quiet wife there is more. Sami became pregnant afterwards with him, which means he only exists because his father assaulted his mother. Tis a sad story indeed ... Jada wants to go speak to Kristen's mom. Rafe warns she would already have a lawyer so Jada suggests they head to Aremid ... Kristen is mad her mum stole the knife from the mansion but mum wants Ava out of the way and spins up a storm ... Ava hears Melinda Trask has been packing heat since her abduction by crazy Connie Z. One cannot be too cautious. Now Connie is locked up unlike Kristen's clear and present danger of a mother ... Mad Kristen demands the gun so mom hands it over ... Brady is mad about what happened to Ava but believes at least EJ will be prosecuted. He almost chokes on his water when Belle notes it will not be by her. She recused. Brady realizes she was still seeing the creep ... Johnny recalls how his poor mom was looked down on and called names for having twins from two different men. He snaps grandma Sue will be appalled by EJ's actions! Chanel wonders whether the whole family knew. Johnny brings up the pact that Kate told him about with others who knew all along. Even Roman agreed to keep the secret. EJ gasps they wished to protect him. Johnny hates he is the spawn of such a monster!! EJ brings up Stefano seeking stem cells to save his life as his motivation. Johnny blasts him for blaming all others ... - Kristen stuffs the gun in her purse. Here come Rafe and Jada the new commiss. She and Rafe wonder whether the women know about EJ hiding prisoner Rafe at the house. Rachel remembers and stares with dread ... Belle agrees with Brady that she could indeed be addicted to EJ. She is determined to be done with him ... EJ stammers he just wanted to explain and insists he was not blaming Kate or anyone else. Johnny accuses him of not even wanting him! EJ dramatically denies it. Johnny was already warned by Chad to take Chanel far away. Alas now tis too late. He will be haunted forever by his father's crime. Chanel weeps for the man she loves. Johnny suggests his father is the same as Stefano and warns they are done and he will not let him near his child. They are forever finished. EJ swears he is not the man he was and he regrets it on some level but he loves his son more than life itself. He begs for forgiveness ... - Brady wonders about the status of Steve and Marlena's flight to D.C. Belle informs him she heard from Marlena just before they took off. Brady sure hopes they will find something. Here comes Rachel, who wishes Grandpa John could read her Charlie and the Chocolate factory. Belle offers to do it the same way her dad does it since she heard it so many times ... Back at DiMera mansion. Johnny fumes he will never forgive EJ and tells him to be gone. EJ exits the room hanging his head. Chanel tries to console hubby. He cannot comprehend his father's awful actions and hates him. He would kill him now if he had a gun ... EJ pauses on the grand DiMera staircase and sobs alone ... Ava admits she is not allowed to buy a gun. Melinda calls it a peace offering. Ava will return it when she no longer needs it and steps away with her gun in the white napkin. Then she hides it in her bag ... Kristen refuses to answer questions. Jada threatens to haul in her mom as accessory after the fact and states she really wants EJ. Next time she could come with a search warrant as well as an arrest warrant.
