Trask tells the dedicated detective she no longer has it ... Steph panics Alex would dump her if he believed she was being untrue with Philip. Sarah suggests she not deny it. Steph gasps in horror ... Alex glares at Phil and demands to know if he is sleeping with Steph. Phil gasps. Xander is sorry to say it is true, he overheard them yesterday. Steph is upset about the new lie about her and Phil cheating. Sara suggests tis for the greater good. Steph refuses to keep playing this game and suggests she come clean to Xander cos no way will she act like she cheated with Phil to Alex. Sara spins up a storm about losing her hubby forever and Steph frowns ... Melinda smugly states she sold the necklace. JJ demands to know the name. Gabi stands by her man. Melinda knows her rights and goes on her haughty way to save the DiMera empire ... - Sophia realizes Holly is angry at Tate. Doug decides to cut their discussion short. Sophia suggests it could work in his favor. He is listening. She believes Holly being so mad at Tate might give him an opening. Tate quips he heard she was looking for an opening and warns her he is onto her. She is playing the long game until she gets Tate all to herself ... Tate and Holly continue to bicker about Doug. Tate swears he left her name out of his statement to the police. Holly gets more mad and declares they are done! - Sara ain't too proud to beg and urges Steph to consider that she and Xander have a daughter. Alex arrives so Sara scurries out. Steph smiles and wonders why he is home early. He heard about her fooling around with Philip and wants her to look him in the eye and say it ain't so ... Sophia denies wanting Tate for herself. She simply wants him happy. Doug wants Holly happy even it means her reconciling with Tate ... Tate is arrogantly appalled Holly is dumping him over ... Doug. She declares she is dumping him cos he was mean to her friend. Tate exclaims Doug stole from his family. She snaps about him not being able to get rid of his connection to Sophia. Love is supposed to be more than this. Leo warned her a new love interest would lead to obstacles. She concludes the universe does not want them together so that is that ... Gabi hugs JJ and is sorry about Trask refusing to cooperate. JJ smoothly alludes to making her talk ... Sara comes home to Xander, who admits he told Alex that Steph was sneaking around with Philip ...
