At the Kiriakis mansion Victor cackles about the good news. He quotes Richard III to Maggie. Ding dong the witch is dead ... Kate ignores the yellow police tape at DiMera mansion. Online the press did not mince words about what she did. Then she sees all the blood on the floor ... Lucas sits outside the pub and re-reads Chloe’s letter about following her dream. Meanwhile Chloe wakes up on the bed. No Theresa is there but a lavish breakfast awaits. The door opens and she grabs a butter knife ... From his hospital bed, Brady bids Eve a good morning but tis Theresa holding his hand! She vows not to leave him again and he touches her face. Then he wakes up to Eve, who smiles it was a dream. She knows it was about Theresa too ... Chloe holds the knife and Theresa returns in a red dress. She worried she was Mateo, who sounds so sinister. Theresa is surprised they did not meet. Chloe explains he was busy. She fears what the fiend will do to her. Theresa laments she dreamt Tate did not remember her and he was a happy family with Brady and Eve. Thank heaven they are not together. Back in Salem, Brady is baffled about his Theresa dream. She had promised to stay. Eve asks if that is what he longs for in his heart of hearts ... Kate purses her lips and takes a closer look at the blood on the carpet. She touches it and tries to get it off like Lady Macbeth. Lucas gives her a start and asks how she came to shoot Viv. The grievances led to a fight ... Maggie calls what Kate did self-defense. Victor is smug but Maggie is against anyone having such a violent end. He reminds the redhead the wicked woman buried her alive. Thank God Brady pulled her out. Maggie talks second chances and will not gloat or else karma could come back to bite them. She mentions Brady. At that very moment Brady is insisting to Eve he is over Theresa and wants her nowhere near Tate. Their past was sometimes special but only after they overcame. Then Theresa hurt them with her partying ways and left them behind. It felt like abandonment cos he needed her then. Eve sighs she did the same thing ... Theresa is hungry and eats as she updates Chloe on the easiest door to escape through. But Mateo would murder their families if they dared! Chloe gets it. Theresa tells her his tentacles even reach to Salem. They should stay and search for something to get on him - proof. Chloe looks disappointed ... Brady disagrees with Eve. She notes she did not give him a chance to explain and also accused him of lying when he denied being drunk. She regrets what both sisters did to him. Brady reasons Theresa meanly dumped him whereas Eve had a right to be angry. But that was no abandonment. He is grateful she is with him here and now and holds her hand ... Maggie marvels Eve is so devoted to Brady. Victor scoffs she sang a different tune the other day. The redhead reasons she came back to Brady and Tate loves her like a mother. Victor snaps his mother is Theresa ... Theresa updates Chloe on the locked box which contains what they need. A drive to nail him. Mateo and Miguel must be distracted. If their mission does not succeed they will both be killed. Is she in? Chloe is about to reply when Miguel suspiciously opens the door. He can see that Theresa was up to something ... Lucas looks down at the blood and admits he did not see this coming. Neither did Kate, who notes Viv was nothing but a nightmare. Lucas recounts how Viv wanted him to believe his meddling mother was the one who offered Chloe the Mexican opera opportunity. Kate asks if he has heard from her. No. Kate wishes he would stay away from Chloe cos she is a lost cause. She declares she dodged a bullet literally whereas Lucas dodged a bullet by Chloe leaving ... Theresa acts jealous of Chloe, who counters she is a junkie. Mateo grins. They fake a cat fight so Mateo separates them and orders them to stay away from each other. Theresa quietly shows her the key hidden in her hand ... Maggie is curious why Victor keeps defending Teresa the terrible. He flashes back to her crying she would bring what they needed to lock up Mateo. He had been impressed but she urged him to tell Brady nothing ... Eve assures Brady she wants to be there for Tate. He tells her to move back into the mansion. She pauses and he hopes she has not changed her mind about being with him. She insists she has not! However, if she moves back to the mansion and they do not work out he will ask her to leave and Tate will be affected as he was by Theresa. Brady believes he is a better man now and she is no Theresa. Eve still harbors doubts since so much could come between them ... Victor growls about Brady going back to Eve the gold digger. Maggie argues she makes Brady and Tate happy. The Greek grumbles she is trouble. He questions what would happen if Theresa came back to Salem cos she could and Tate would be caught in the middle of a tug of war ... Miguel warns the women to behave. He hands Chloe a pink garment bag with the outfit for the evening when she meets Mateo. The girls hurl insults. Miguel ushers Theresa out the door and warns her she should be nicer to him now that she is only Mateo’s second choice ... Lucas does not want to listen to Kate, who claims he lacks the maturity to make good decisions with women. She warns him Chloe is a player and suggests he keep his pride. Lucas only dropped by to check on his mother and has heard enough. She thanks him for caring. He announces his plan to follow his heart. Kate can sympathize and will accept any woman who makes him happy. However Chloe gave up on their love when she walked of her own free will. He should do the same. Lucas frowns ... Back in Mexico Chloe pours herself some champagne and remembers her last night with Lucas when they celebrated. She puts the glass down and sits on the floor with a sad sigh ... Brady is ready to do battle with all obstacles so he can be with Eve! He recalls that night he vowed to hang onto her engagement ring until ... She remembers it well. He romantically produces said ring with a smile ... Maggie suspects Theresa would hate seeing Brady with her sister but that girl will never be back. She would have found her way back if she wanted to. Victor responds with a stony silence ... Theresa gets into Mateo’s office and starts to search his desk drawers. She finds the blue box she was looking for. It will help her get home to Brady and Tate. Dangerous music plays as she pauses ... Lucas reads Chloe’s letter another time. He decides to toss it in the fireplace and then changes his mind. He cannot give up ... Chloe opens the pink garment bag to her alluring opera gown. Miguel – aka el Fidel – enters and introduces himself. He eyes her and she regards him with dread. Back in Salem Brady proposes to Eve again. Victor appears at the door and exclaims he has something big to tell Brady before she answers ... Back in Mateo’s office Theresa keeps searching and finds the key to open the blue box. The drive she needs for her freedom is inside. A familiar voice wishes her a good day in Spanish and she turns around, only to come face to face with her worst nightmare. XANDER! STAY TUNED ... |
