Marlena arrives and he suddenly snaps out of it, wondering why he is at the station ... He believes any child of Nicole's is lucky indeed and she puts her unhappy head on his shoulder ... Sloan agrees with Melinda that she could not hide from EJ. EJ decides to get Paulina recalled as mayor and promptly replace her with himself! He steps away to call assistant Rita. Nicole says tis too fast ... Phone EJ now gets the info he was really after ... that Sloan and Eric are alone with the baby. Once Sloan leaves the building he must be notified. He now ends his cryptic call ... Everett does not remember slugging Eric. He assures Marlena his last memory is of downing a shot and seeing Eric pestering his wife. Voices were raised and then it all went blank. Marlena suggests they put the pieces together. Rafe interrupts and drawls bail was posted. Everett wants the cuffs off so he can head home ... Steph is confident Everett will do the right thing and apologize to co-worker Eric. Chad must go get Thomas from soccer. Steph agrees to keep an eye on the place until Everett arrives ... EJ returns to Nicole, pleased about Rita's help. Nicole decides to depart for work. EJ insists she stay with him instead ... Eric wonders whether he has somehow upset Sloan.
