FEAR FACTOR

- Replay of Kristen heading for the bath, after which the person she believes to be room service enters. But it is not room service at all! Kristen later emerges clad only in a towel and muses lunch has indeed arrived. Tis cowboy Brad, who drawls they need to get something straight! Kristen plays it cool. He warns her to stop playing games with John and Marlena and leave them the hell alone! She purrs she will call and have him thrown out, unless he has any food. He gets sarcastic and hopes she got his message. She sweetly smiles she will get changed into something more comfortable, after which he can hear HER message!
- Nicole opens her door to raging EJ. “You changed your story!” The
D.A. has dropped the charges against Jen and he demands to know why. She points out she is not his servant and refuses to tell him anything,
given how mean he is being. He shuts the door and growls he has not even gotten started. Nicole claims she was not so sure that Jen really pushed her and advises him to read the police report and leave her
alone. He roughly grabs her arm and refuses to go anywhere until she cooperates! Nicole winces in pain but soon manages to break free.
- Jen is with Maggie at the Kiriakis mansion, begging the redhead to try again with Daniel. She eventually agrees.
- Replay of Dr. Dan being asked by the nurse now holding half Nicole’s baby outfit to tell the other nurse that stealing his wrong. He stands up
and suggests they hand him the item in question, but gets interrupted by
a phone call from mama Maggie, who summons him for a private chat. Once he hears that Victor will not be involved, he promises to be right over. He impatiently asks the nurses what their problem was. The nurse who has just snatched the outfit back smiles it is taken care of. Good, for he has more important things to do and exits. The medicine man has the weight of the world on his shoulders.
- Nick joins Gabi, Will, and Sonny at a town square table. There are all smiles. Will brings up the upcoming indie music festival. Sonny suggests they go together as a sort of double date. Nick’s response is that they would need to know who is playing first. Will and Sonny certainly have
no problem with that and walk away together, blissfully unaware of
Nick’s strange demeanor. Will laughs some kid put candy corn in his pocket. Sonny laughs it was him and they stroll off. Back at the table,
Gabi wants Nick to come clean about what his problem really is with the pair. She has noticed he acts closed around them. He explains that he
is not as upbeat and on as they are. Gabi sincerely hopes he does not
have a problem with them being gay. Nick sighs. She urges him to tell
her he has no problem with that. He becomes defensive. She states they are just like other people. Nick , on the other hand, believes there is a difference. She gets irate and walks off. Nick appears tormented.
- At the coffee house, Will and Sonny get comfy on the couch. Sonny brings up what happened earlier. He wonders if Will wants to discuss Lucas interrupting them. The phone rings. Will watches Sonny step
away to take the call. He does not mind. Billie sits down beside him and
is concerned as she had a chat with his father. She knows there was a problem and offers to help, provided he not tell his dad she spoke with him. Will agrees. Sonny joins them and teases she looks serious. Billie excuses herself to get a coffee for now, says it was nice to see them, waves, and steps away. Will now wants Sonny to tell him what really happened between him and his dad. And he knows there was some kind of argument!
- Abigail comes home to Jen and asks for the latest. Jen cries she is sorry and embraces her. Abigail wonders what is the matter. She had assumed she would be happy about the charges being dropped. Mama Jen woefully whispers it is complicated.
- Dan is with Maggie at the mansion and realizes Jen has spoken to her. He makes light of everything. The redhead fears Nicole will ruin his life. Dan retorts his life is not her damn business or Jennifer’s either. Maggie dares him to say he is not running away with Nicole to protect Jennifer. He does. She calls him a liar. She knows he feels it is wrong. He laments it is not wrong to protect Jennifer. Maggie thinks Nicole is having her way again! Dan points out she lost her baby. Maggie argues Nicole is not a good or trustworthy person. He unhappily remarks then perhaps they are compatible. Maggie becomes sarcastic, then starts to cry that her son the great man who wants to save everyone is so dear to them all. Why, she spoke to Mel, who agrees he is making a terrible mistake. Maggie blames herself, for telling him that Nicole would never forgive Jen. That is why
he came up with this idea. Dan sits across from his crying mother and tenderly takes her hands. She can still see him. He also promises to come back to visit. Maggie cries Jen knew she would understand how bad this
is for him. They fear he will lose himself with the evil Nicole. Dan is very sorry but stands firm in his decision. It is what he feels he must do! He hangs his head and walks out of the mansion.
- EJ ominously approaches Nicole and dangerously demands to know
why she changed her story. She cowers and holds her sore arm. She flashes back to what really happened, the deal she made with Daniel. Back to reality. EJ reminds her that Jen killed her child. She insists she was wrong and was hysterical at the time she accused her. He gets closer and peers at her, pointing out she blamed Jennifer. Nicole babbles abut realizing she was wrong about Jennifer Horton but EJ growls “You’re lying!”
- Kristen emerges, clad in a slinky black dress. She takes the opportunity to tell Brady how sorry she is for the recent loss of his fiancée. He snaps he did not lose her, she died. Kristen muses he is a lot like John. In fact, they used to be like family. Brady calls her a home wrecker and a liar.
She pleasantly explains she has changed but Brady has his doubts and accuses her of stalking Marlena. Kristen argues no one has asked her
side of the story and suggests the fair Marlena feels threatened by what
she and John once shared. Brady hits below the belt by noting John’s standards are not low enough to consider the likes of a woman as cheap and manipulative as Kristen. She slaps him across the face. No one talks about her like that and gets away with it! Brady leers she really seems to believe she has become a better person, which is of course absurd. She has changed but certainly not for the better. She retorts she is not afraid
of him. He alludes to that being a mistake she will regret and takes his leave. Kristen smirks.
- Jen confides to Abigail that she knows Dan is leaving town with Nicole for her sake. And she cannot sit back and let it happen!
- Nicole meets EJ’s stare and suddenly snaps she owes him NOTHING. He suspects Jonas is involved in her decision to change her story, but his only interest is in Jennifer and justice. Nicole flashes back to the doctor telling her the baby was dead and calmly informs EJ she knows for a fact
that the widow Jennifer did not kill her baby.  She lost the baby in the
fall. EJ realizes she is not going to tell him, which means that now all bets are off! He is convinced she retracted her statement at Jonas’ request. Therefore, she should consider herself forewarned. “Your amnesty, my dear, is over!” Exit EJ. Nicole starts to look nervous. She knows only too well that a DiMera never bluffs ...
- Gabi is sitting woefully on her bed when Nick knocks at the door and implores her to hear him out. She opens the door. He gasps he is sorry
for upsetting her. She sighs she had thought she knew him but was sadly mistaken.
- Will wonders whether Lucas stayed behind just to harass Sonny. Sonny admits he overreacted when Lucas started to push his buttons. Will just wishes he would have told him. Sonny thinks he made things worse by telling Lucas he would share everything that happened if he really wanted to know. He is sorry for that. Will thinks he is not the one who needs to be sorry, gives him a quick kiss, and goes off to find Lucas. He wants
this matter settled ...
