COUNTER-INTELLIGENCE! - Replay of Sami sending Nicole flying across the room so she hits her head on the counter and is rendered unconscious. Sami bends over and implores her to wake up."I think she's dead," she gasps. Sydney starts to cry in the other room. Sami starts to run to the other room, until Rafe arrives and has a close look. "What the hell???" Sami repeats she thinks she is dead! Rafe is dismayed that he was gone for all of 10 minutes. He orders her to call 911 and does CPR. Nicole wakes up with a start then looks at Sami. "You tried to kill me!" She stands up and claims she will press charges. Rafe loses his cool and tells her off. Sami tries to stop him. Rafe thinks they should not be afraid of her but Nicole explains he should. She knows what they don't want anyone to know. "I don't just know that Sami shot EJ, I can prove it!" She taunts Sami to get her laptop. Sami refuses. Nicole goes to it herself and retrieves the video from the trash. "The lighting isn't great but the script is terrific!" She plays the video of Sami confessing she shot EJ. Rafe gives Sami a look. She herself appears exasperated. Nicole updates him on how she came by the most damning evidence. And with one press of the button, she could make it go viral and send her to prison. Rafe suddenly shuts the computer and drawls she won't be able to push it if she's dead! He talks tough about the world being a better place without her and Nicole tells him to get away from her. He inches closer, threatening she has 30 seconds to tell him what would prevent her from pushing that button - and it had better be good! As Nicole cringes, Sami gives her a triumphant look, feeling she and Rafe now have the upper hand. Rafe drawls he knows how to clean up a crime scene! Nicole begs him not to hurt her. If anything happens to her, the video goes public. He demands to know what she wants. To spend some time with Sydney. "I just want to be a part of Sydney's life and in return I will not say anything to anyone about the video, so deal or no deal?" Rafe puts an arm around Sami, who is not pleased about Nicole's demand. Nicole cries she just wants to see her. Rafe points out if she goes back on this, he meant what he said. Nicole assures him she gets it. Rafe now asks Sami if she can do this. She glumly realizes they have no choice. Rafe explains they will need to proceed slowly, so as not to arouse any DiMera suspicions. Before leaving, Nicole tells Sami she is one lucky woman to have him ... Once they are alone, Sami throw her arms around him and sobs she loves him. - Bo is on the phone at the pub, angrily ordering his man to widen the search area cos young woman Arianna, who went undercover for them, was killed! Enter Carly. She bears news. She hands him a file and insists she checked and double checked. It is dramatic news. Carly is shocked such a thing could even happen! He ponders how to get this to Hope. He calls the warden, as he wishes to discuss some "new developments" in Hope's case. No way. The warden will only play this by the book. Is there a message she can pass on to her? Yes, there is! He wishes her to pass on that he has new information on the case and he will not give up. Also, Ciara is doing fine. He thanks the warden and ends the call. Carly perceives he does not trust the warden to pass on the cryptic message. Bo is of the opinion the lady warden no longer trusts him. Therefore, he is no longer the ideal candidate to be openly involved. Time for plan B. Meanwhile, the warden tells Lee they need to keep their eye on Hope and keep the commissioner at bay, cos they are up to something. If she gets too mouthy about April or other matters, they will shut her up! - At the prison, Hope has a visitor - the fair Jennifer! Hope cries what is she doing there. Jen remarks she might not be happy to see her. They are left alone. Hope woefully explains it is hard to see those she has let down, who need her to be who she once was. Jennifer points out she came back to get her out! She talks about cases where it was argued that the drug Hope was given was given to others, who were exonerated ... Hope mutters she wishes to stay there, to atone for her sins. Jen wants Hope to be free so they can play together. She is free too. "What about Jack?" wonders Hope. He is off chasing a story and the kids are in school so she decided to come home to help take care of gran Alice's estate. Jen has a proposition. If Hope tells her how she really is doing, then she will take care of her half of the estate as well. Hope thanks her and insists things are not so bad. She gets to work in the infirmary and is doing something that matters. She will not fight to get out of there. She cannot make things go back to how they were. However, she is thrilled to see her, as she is more than a cousin - she is like a sister! Hope asks her to come back again. Jen hugs her. The guard returns and barks no physical contact. Jen dares her to stop them! - Meanwhile, Carly agrees with Bo that it is happening as planned. He is worried about her but Carly assures him she is no shrinking violet. And Hope is their priority ... - At the pier, Chad confronts Kate with the birth certificate stating he is Stefano's son. He suspects she sent it to him and says so! Kate flashes back to placing it in the envelope and then denies it. Chad persists. Kate pretends she thinks it might have been fabricated. Chad accuses her of trying to play him. She blows him off. Ring ring! She has a call from Stefano and he quips it is his long lost father. Kate warns him to shut up and accepts the call. Stefano is displeased she left the house. "I have to talk to you." Kate replies she will be back in a few minutes. Chad doubts it and exclaims they have a lot to talk about! Stefano wonders who that is. T'was nothing, purrs Kate. She later chides Chad for doing that. "That was a stupid thing to do!" He accuses her of just trying to make his life miserable. All he wants to know is why someone would send him that piece of paper. Kate airily states she knows not and adds he should be careful how he proceeds with this ... Mad Chad vows he will not be stonewalled. He will find out the truth! Kate warns that the phoenix is a loving family man, but formidable opponent. "Stefano is unpredictable. Stefano is dangerous especially if he thinks you're after him, especially if he thinks you're after his family ..." - Stefano meets with thug Marco, angry he has no new lead to help his son. He insists he find a lead on who did this and deal with them. "No matter what!" Kate soon returns and pretends she was out for a long jog. Stefano's phone rings. Tis Chad at a payphone. He nervously pauses, then loses his nerve and hangs up. Kate assures the phoenix it was likely a wrong number. "Somehow I don't think so!" says he. - Outside the pub, Bo is happily surprised to run into Jen, who has just seen Hope. She was closed down. and not herself. However, she perked up when mentioning her infirmary job. She sounded like when she was a detective working on a case. Bo drawls she likes nothing more than being on the case! They enter the pub and sit down. Jen is troubled that Hope does not want to try and get out of jail. Bo agrees and adds she misses Ciara like crazy. Like she misses him too, says Jen. Bo doesn't think she misses him. But Jen does. He asks about Jack and the kids. Jen replies Abby is in Spain doing a semester, Jack Jr, is in boarding school, while Jack is off chasing a story. She will help with Alice's estate, spend time with Hope. Bo notes it sounds like she could be there for a while. She admits it could happen - for her to stay for good. Bo suspects something else is going on and says as much. - Hope now has another surprise visitor - Carly, who has made a major discovery concerning Lee and quietly passes on the intel. Prisoner Lee is a doctor! She was convicted for illegally prescribing pain killers. Hope tells her of the two strange deaths at the hospital and concludes sneaky Lee was probably involved ... Carly thinks Bo is convinced she is right. Hope cannot believe she hid she was a doctor. Carly has another message from Bo. To be careful. Hope thanks her. Carly asks whether there is anything she should tell Bo. No, but Hope has one question and is hoping for an honest answer. "How's Bo ... How is he really?" Carly sadly replies he is not good, because Hope is in there! Hope considers. The warden complains to Lee that Hope has had two unknown visitors in the last two hours. Neither was on the list of friends or relatives she gave them when she arrived. And if she keeps asking about April, she will need to be isolated! - Back at the loft, Rafe attempts to be optimistic. If they let Nicole see Sydney, EJ will not get his hands on the evidence. Sami grins Nicole is right cos she doesn't deserve him. Rafe jokes she is right. Sami admits she feared she was dead but then he saved the day yet again! Rafe promises he is here for the long haul and will not let anything else happen to her. Sami snuggles up to him on the sofa. - Nicole returns home to the Kiriakis mansion and calls out for Brady. No answer. She gets herself a drink. She is always alone! She now imagines young woman Sydney, praising Nicole, trashing Sami. "You've been more of a mother to me than she ever has." She is glad she did not get stuck with Sami! Back to reality. Nicole takes a sip of her drink. "One step at a time ..." - Back at the loft, Rafe is busy at the computer. Sami announces he is good, cos he had her going for a while. Surely he does not believe Nicole only wants to be a crazy pseudo-godmother to Sydney! He confesses he does not. But they will go along with her "As long as it takes to make sure she can't ever touch you again ...!" Next on Days of Our Lives "Hope, why do you think he sent me here?" asks Carly. Nicole raises her glass. "To Arianna. Thank you for the smoking gun!" EJ is at Sami's door. "I need to talk to you!" |
