THE FUTURE ... - Sami is stunned Rafe wishes to get married tonight and exclaims did he not hear what she said about EJ taking her kids? He did indeed. He waits for her answer. She hopefully wonders if he has a plan. He explains that getting married will help - given they will not have to testify against each other - though that is not the real reason he wants to do it. Sami points out she has problems. Rafe knows. He loves her and wants to go through all this as her husband. Besides, she has other problems than just EJ ... He brings up Bo. Sami starts to yell about Bo possibly arresting her and grabs her phone to tell EJ all bets are off. Rafe stops her and assures her all the evidence is hearsay. She reminds him she confessed on tape and would need a miracle, which she does not even feel she deserves anymore. She is tired of running scared and asking Rafe and Will to cover for her. Rafe insists the kids belong with her. Besides, he and Will are helping her of their own free will. He loves her and wants to make sure she does not go through this alone. Sami smiles. He makes a joke about how unboring she is. They are strongest when they are together. Sami nods in agreement. They hug on it. Rafe is elated."That's my girl!" Rafe is glad they will be a family "in every sense of the word." She declares that no matter what happens with EJ, Johnny will be delighted to have a family who wants him. "Marrying you is the wedding of my dreams. Anytime anyway." She thinks she is lucky. He wants to make her feel as loved as he does. Sami agrees to celebrate the wedding with the family tonight, and think of how to break the news of the kids living with EJ only tomorrow. He kisses her and departs to make it happen. Sami picks up a photo of Johnny and Ally. They will all have a wonderful night ... - Replay of Victor suddenly realizing Maggie could be in the sarcophagus, though he hopes he is wrong! Meanwhile, Maggie whispers his name .... Victor contacts Viv again, who is lounging with a facemask. She sits up with a start when he drawls he is thinking of letting her out. He notes her uncharacteristic silence. She pretends to moan he should just finish what he started, He is dubious. She starts babbling about going to the police. Victor realizes his hunch was right and makes for the mausoleum! Meanwhile, Viv calls Gus to warn him that Victor might be onto them! - Stefano agrees to see Chad (he has put the pocket knife in his pocket). Kate watches the drama unfold chez DiMera. She decides to give them their privacy and excuses herself to call the hospital and check on Mel. Chad begins. He wants the job with DiMera Enterprises. Stefano smiles he can start Monday. Is that it? Chad whips out the knife. Stefano warns him to close it. Chad, however, claims they have something to settle right here right now! Stefano's eyes focus on the knife. "If you want to kill me, you're going to need something bigger than that." Kate enters, horrified. Chad chuckles all he wants is blood. Stefano wants to know why he is out for blood. Chad retorts that is the only way he will know for certain if he is his father! Stefano advises the young man to explain himself. Kate demands he put the knife away. Chad does and then tells the phoenix of the birth certificate. The phoenix crosses his arms and states any conman could forge such a thing. "Nice try but no cigar." He orders him to leave. Chad is defiant. He wants to stay. Kate asks Stefano to wait. Chad now produces the birth certificate. The phoenix takes a look and drawls if it is a forgery, it is a good one. Chad asks if he had an affair with his mother. Stefano gets serious. "Yes." Chad quips then it is true! Stefano admits anything is possible. Kate suggests they get genetic testing done, to determine if there is another DiMera in the world ... - At the pier, replay of Nicole asking EJ if she will get to be in Sydney's life. He wants to know why she went to Samantha first! She replies she figured Sami hated EJ more than her. But she would have included him in her visitation with Sydney. He reminds her she failed. Nicole recalls how Sami rejected her offer, tried to steal the camera, then sent Rafe after her for it. EJ snaps of course she did, for Rafe was successful with that last taped confession she had - the one in which he admitted to having been the one who kidnapped Sydney! He gets mad again. "You were going to give that camera to Samantha!" He rages that Sami would have destroyed it and lived happily ever after with Rafe and the children. EJ dares Nicole to give him one reason he should not throw her into the river! Nicole claims she would have gone to him eventually. She was wrong to assume that Sami might have any remorse about shooting him. She insists she is not trying to replace Sami, but he insists that is exactly what she is trying to do! She repeats she just wanted to get to spend time with Sydney. She reminds him how she was the one who risked everything to give him his baby Sydney, when Sami did not. She adds she came to him later, for she knows that Sydney belongs with him. EJ considers. He does love Sydney very much. - Victor enters the sarcophagus, wondering where the damn guard is. Maggie spies him on the monitor and wonders if she is dreaming. "I need you so much." Victor starts to lift the lid, determined to get her out! All of a sudden, Gus sneaks up behind him and tasers him bad! - Back at the loft, Sami informs a very excited Johnny, Ally, and baffled Will that she and Rafe are getting married tonight. Johnny wants to know if he can call Rafe daddy. Indeed. However, things will change tomorrow. Will wonders why she looks so unhappy. Sami insists she cries when she is happy and hugs Johnny. They deserve some happiness tonight. Will is curious about what else she must tell them. That will come later. For now they have a fun wedding to get ready for. Family hug time! Caroline later shows up, wearing a smart blue dress, ready to help with the wedding! She presents Sami with something old, borrowed and blue - a dainty handkerchief she used to carry around. She also gives her a new book of beautiful Shakespearian sonnets. She assures Sami that she and Rafe will get through it all with their love. Sami hopes so and they embrace. - Kate, Chad, and Stefano arrive at the hospital. Stefano asks about Melanie. Kate informs Chad that her son's wife contracted a virus there and is in isolation. Stefano assures her she will recover and steps over to the nurse, to request a DNA test. The nurse retorts a doctor must order it. The phoenix pulls out a wad of cash, drawling he does not wish to wait. Surely she knows how to draw blood, take it to the lab under another name, and get the results to him quickly. She agrees. He wants her to draw Chad's blood first. The moment of truth approaches ...! - At the pub, Rafe and Gaby talk. She is not enthusiastic about him marrying Sami. In fact, she would rather not attend. He states it would mean the word to him if she did - At the mausoleum, Maggie is horrified to see Victor lying on the floor, via the monitor. He mutters Vivian seems to be up and about after all. "Cest moi!" Madame agrees. And she is alive and kicking! - At the pier, Nicole snaps at EJ that he would not even know about the existence of Sydney if it were not for her, not to mention she will be the only mother figure his daughter will have for a while. He should let her in for Sydney's sake - Sami, Rafe, Gaby, Caroline and the kids gather at the prettily lit forest for the quickie wedding, where a priest awaits.Sami is in a wedding dress, her hair demurely swept back, while Rafe is in an elegant suit. She smiles and approaches him, her eyes filled with love. He looks overwhelmed. "So, he murmurs, are you ready to get married ...?" |
