Paulina teases her about Johnny and then senses something. Chanel admits a girl is after her guy ... Dapper Johnny is about to go to Chanel's Thanksgiving. Holly plays up her sorrow ... Steph updates fun run Chad on the trophy the kids have for him. He was running for the foodbank. She reminds him Julie and Doug expect them around five. Chad heads to the shower and Steph wonders when Gwen calls his phone. Meanwhile colorful Julie looks ready to faint when she finds Nick lookalike Everett in her house ... Paulina hears all about Holly being after Johnny. Chanel does not take it seriously. However she hates the nasty looks from Holly and her annoying flirtation with Johnny ... Holly woefully wishes they had met baby brother and woefully suggests Johnny go to his Thanksgiving. When he realizes she is alone he invites her along ... Julie wants to know who this man is. It needs new ownership to clean the house ... Steph admits she noticed Chad had a missed call from Gwen and left a message. Chad gets his dapper jacket on and plays dumb but Steph persists ... - Chad listens and lies Gwen the ex nanny was only wishing Thomas an early happy birthday. Steph steps out and he calls back, to tell Gwen when the banks are open tomorrow the transfer goes through but swears her to secrecy. Steph can never know ... Everett promises he wants to make the Spectator great again in a noble way ... Brady and Tate talk turkey dinners. Brady wants to call Nicole with his sympathy and wonders whether his son contacted Holly. The young man sighs he is giving her space ... Paulina suggests Chanel lay down the law and she gets a call from Johnny, who is sorry to say he cannot come cos Holly is sad and home alone. He will see her later. Chanel understands and calls him a good guy to be with the family when they need him and Holly needs him ... Here comes dapper Abe, who learns that Johnny cannot attend ... Johnny suggests he and Holly head to the empty kitchen to throw something together. She makes goo goo eyes and away they go ... Tate is having a tough time figuring out Holly, who is ghosting him. Brady suggests a bona fide phone call not to mention Holly needs someone to lean on. He tells the clueless lad to take the two pieces of Brady pumpkin pie ... Julie greets guests Chad and Steph, who can see the kids playing outside from the window. Chad gives Julie the pie that he helped the kids make. Doug is taking a post turkey trot nap. Everett emerges from the kitchen acting like he owns the place and wishes astonished Steph and Chad a happy thanksgiving. Julie invited him to stay since he is without family in Salem. Chad knew not they were acquainted. Everett came by to ask Julie and Doug for their profile for the spectator. The flattery flies. Julie suddenly senses Steph's strained mood and both guys get sent to the kitchen ... After they exit Steph sighs that is her past boyfriend who wants to be her present ... - Abe just loved the buttermilk biscuits matriarch Paulina made. He asks Chanel about the latest. She visited Lani and course Eli and the kids. She shows Abe the pics and he praises them, then sadly admits she still cannot remember them. Chanel apologizes and excuses herself to the bakery. She is thankful for both Abe and Paulina and will see them later ... Holly is having thanksgiving on a bun aka the messy bun Johnny made with everything on it. He wipes a spot of gravy from her mouth. That is when clueless Tate shows up with dessert. Holly scowls ... Julie gets texted that Doug is still resting and suggests she and the guests takes their seats at the dining table. Of course obnoxious Everett sits at the head of the table near Steph. Chad sits next to her ... Tate has pumpkin pie. Johnny notes now that Holly is not alone he can join Chanel and gets going. Tate is sorry about the timing. Holly tries to recruit him to help her ruin Johnny and Chanel’s relationship ... Abe enjoys the pie. Tis Paulina's fave. His too now. She unhappily remembers when she kissed him and he pulled away, then admits she wanted to do it again ... Chad pours the wine. Doug texts Julie he is tired so start without him. Time for the toasts. Chad overtalks Everett and raises a heartfelt glass to Doug and Julie, now to his beautiful Stephanie, who lights up the life of himself and the kids. They love and appreciate her. Steph is touched. Chad now toasts to Everett the new editor in chief of the Spectator. Everett promises to restore the paper’s reputation to its past days of glory. Chad smugly states he now owns half said Spectator and informs Everett he is firing his sorry ... Chad blinks, waking up from his daydream and toasts to family and friends. Then he downs the wine. It was not easy holding his DiMera tongue. For now ... Paulina promises to be grateful for the now and now Abe is wonderful company. He admits he wanted to kiss her and still does. He leans in and they smooch for real!!!! - Johnny is on his way to Chanel's mom when he runs into his girlfriend at the square. He kisses her and apologizes for missing the dinner. She asks about Holly. Johnny left her with a good guy ... Meanwhile mean girl Holly refuses to be friends with Tate unless he does her bidding no questions asked ... Chanel tells Johnny about a big cookie order she got for a customer who ate thirty cookies in an hour. Johnny is impressed with her sweetness and apologizes for missing dinner. Chanel is just grateful for them having found their way back together. They wish one another a Happy Thanksgiving and seal the deal with a romantic kiss ... Tate agrees to do Holly's mean girl bidding after he makes her apologize for calling his opinions stupid. Holly plays along and hugs him when he stammers he wants to make her happy.
