Stefan stares at Gabi and gasps when she gasps Li is dead. She has the bloodied knife in her hand and it looks like she stabbed him in the back - but she did not ... Everett blurts out he is the boyfriend, then claims he is having a hard time. Chad hears he is her ex and blasts him for ghosting her. Everett innocently insists it was not his intention ... Tripp leaves and Ava warns Gil not to speak to her son. He talks tough and warns her Clyde wants her to focus on the drug side of things. She quips she could do it in her sleep. He threatens so she hisses to back off. Harris walks into the restaurant and wonders ... - Wendy is upset about Li being stabbed in the back by Gabi. Tripp is sympathetic as they head home ... Gabi stammers Li told her the stock certificates were fake and ordered her over. Stefan solemnly states those are real and wonders why she offed Li ... Everett tells dubious Chad his tale of woe about being hit by a car and stuck in a coma for a year, after which he took a while to remember. Steph adds he tracked her to Salem. Chad stares at him as he babbles he was wrong to believe they could be like the old days ... Harris heard arguing. Ava fibs she and Gil were disagreeing on food. Gil makes nice and praises his head chef. He knows she will make the restaurant a great success and steps away. Ava makes light of it but Harris already smells a rat ... Wendy and Tripp are on their way home with lava cake to share with Li ... Gabi swears she found Li with the knife in him and pulled it out to help. Stefan solemnly states t'was not smart since her prints are now on the weapon. They wonder who stabbed Li ... - Brady is eating cake with Marlena and Roman as they discuss the quick wedding of Eric and Sloan. Roman heads home to Kate. Brady is intense and complains to Marlena that Gabi and Stefan conned him ... Gabi gasps she saw no one and knows not who did the deed. Stefan is relieved and suggests Li might have set her up. Gabi argues he could not have stabbed himself in the back. Something is off. Someone else might have set her up ... Everett assures suspicious Chad he now knows he and Steph are the past and Chad and Steph live together - as she told him last night. Steph admits he dropped by before Chad came home. Chad gets sarcastic ... Ava assures worried Harris she can handle Gil. Harris admits he might be jealous and she laughs at Gil and his musky aroma. She talks specials. He explains he came to see her as per his promise ... Gabi wants to split and picks up the knife. Tripp and Wendy come home, horrified by the sight of Gabi with the bloodied knife in her hand, bloodied Li motionless on the floor ... Brady sighs Marlena was right. Marlena is appalled by what Stefan and Gabi did. Brady adds they are after majority shares and heaven help the next person they target ... - As medicine man Tripp takes a closer look Wendy accuses Gabi of killing brother Li. Tripp checks and announces he is alive ... Everett assures Chad he is backing off. Chad is sympathetic about his ordeal - until he hears he is staying in Salem ... Ava calls the kiss a moment and reminds Harris they wanted to wait until their lives were on track. He boasts about his new job, shows her his Salem PD badge and wants to arrange a date. Ava sighs her job could poses a problem cos it keeps her busy. He suggests one dinner with dessert. She agrees to tomorrow her day off and suggests they meet at the restaurant - Gabi thanks God. Raging Wendy doubts her act. Tripp shouts to call 911. Wendy whips out her phone ... Chad grills Everett, who boasts about his new job at the Spectator, which will help him pay all his medical bills. He hopes all three of them will be pals. Chad is silent. Steph states it would be nice. She glares back at Chad as Everett scurries away ... - Harris complains to Ava about Dimitri and Leo giving him and Jada the slip, He now gets called to a stabbing ... Stefan assumes Li will clear Gabi's name ... Li moans in his hospital bed as Tripp cleans out his wound. Wendy assures her brother she is right here. Li's eyes are closed and he asks her not to leave. She asks who dunnit ... Ava gets sarcastic when Gil warns her to watch her mouth with Harris. He orders her out back to help supervise a shipment. She leaves her phone on the table and misses Harris' message to call him or Tripp before heading home tonight ... Chad paces like a DiMera and warns Steph that Everett is after her the same way lusting Alex was. She argues Everett was in a coma and deserves compassion. Chad is mad he called himself her boyfriend and still seems to love her. Steph reminds Chad how HE hurt her. He apologizes. Teary Steph heads home alone ... Wendy whimpers as Li flatlines. Then she sobs on Tripp's sorry shoulder ... Stefan insists Li will clear Gabi’s name. Here comes Harris. Gabi asks after Li. He did not survive but told the cops that GABI attacked him.
