Monday, October 1, 2012 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! Up by early afternoon September 28 GAMES PEOPLE PLAY ... - Rafe and Sami face each other. He repeats he does not think they will work. She has just opened her heart to him and assures him she can fix it. She babbles they can take things slow but Rafe has a news flash. “It’s not gonna ever work. We’re done!” Sami stares in disbelief. She argues this makes no sense for they had a wonderful time last night! The man she is supposed to be with … “Can’t be me!” laments Rafe. He claims there is simply no way. Sami immediately suspects something changed and demands to know what. Rafe is not interested in over analyzing. She persists in her usual loud manner. They had a nice date - so what went wrong after the passionate goodnight? Rafe sighs and flashes back to EJ’s blackmail. He claims it is because of the lies and hurt and betrayal that he is withdrawing. Sami, however, reasons he already had said there was hope to rebuild that trust. When did it go from possible to impossible? Rafe diverts his gaze and mutters he cannot change this. - Busy Bo is working the phone in his office at the station. Hope waltzes in and wonders where he has been. Working here, doing the work of a dozen detectives! He has been working leads, too. Hope reminds him he was supposed to attend Ciara's poetry class. Bo curses he missed it all because of this damn job! - Gabi has dropped by cozy Horton house, where house guest Nicole is lounging in the living room. As it turns out, Abigail is not in her room, as was previously thought. Gabi asks Nicole to tell Abigail to call her when she returns. It is about Melanie. Nicole’s interest is piqued. She wants to hear more! Daniel has been good to her and if there is a problem with his daughter, she would like to help. Gabi informs her that Melanie has left the country. The wedding will not take place. Nicole feels concerned for Daniel and asks what happened. Gabi will only say that things became complicated. Nicole thanks her for the information and sees her to the door. Once alone, she takes out her compact to admire herself and notes poor Daniel will be needing a shoulder to cry on. Exit Nicole with her pretty pink dress, the compact, and a mission. - Abigail has stopped by Jen’s office at the hospital and mom is glad to see her. Abigail did not like the way they left things, but notes there are many papers on her desk. Jen does not deny she is indeed busy. The fair widow glances nervously at the list of DNA labs, and flashes back to her warning from Dan. She decides she and daughter can talk and her work can wait. The girl grimaces she hates fighting with her. Jen thinks she was the one who she started it. They agree they both overreacted. It must be due to the grief they are still experiencing. Jen does not want her daughter to be hard on herself. She praises her for her strength and courage. They hug and exchange I love yous. Jen can see much of Jack in her and it provides her some comfort. Abigail cannot imagine how hard it must be for her, as he was the love of her life. Jen admits she was very happy and grateful for the memories. She is also happy Jack got to know Abigail. Abigail now brings up that having Nicole in the house has been making things harder and more stressful. Jen assures her that her days as their house guest are numbered …! - EJ is still standing at Dan’s door, a tad confused. Dan repeats Mel is gone. EJ wants to know if she will be back later. Dan snaps no. EJ would like to get in touch with her and help. He needs her whereabouts. Dan drawls he is telling him nothing and it is none of his biz where she went! EJ remarks Chad and Mel are in love and going through a rough patch. He implies they ought to help. Dan insists they stay out of it. He adds he does not want his daughter anywhere near his family ever again. They are over and he means to keep it that way! EJ deduces this is really about Nicole. Dan gets back to his daughter and the fact that his brother acted like a sociopathic maniac. Mel and Chad are done and EJ had better get used to it! - Caroline is at the pub, arguing on the phone about a deposit she insists she made. The bank has no record of said deposit, though. Roman joins her and offers to help. She would rather he not tell her how to do her job and then sarcastically thanks him for keeping her in the loop about Bo - or not! Roman is not sure what he would do without him on the force. Caroline states it is not about him, it is about his brother. “Roman needs your support,” she chides. He smiles he is Roman, She knows that and adds the two brothers must figure this out. Roman regards her with a hint of worry. - Bo feels terrible about missing the poetry class. Hope explains she told Ciara he was working. It was what she had assumed. They get back to the topic of him resigning from the police department. He now points out his hands would not be tied and he could go after Stefano. Hit him where it counts, in the bank account! Hope wonders if he would also have time for Ciara’s poetry class. He would indeed so what does she think? She takes his hand and smiles he seems energized. She makes him promise to at least let her help with the intrigue. They kiss on it. Enter Commissioner Roman. He informs his little brother he is an irreplaceable detective who is needed even if he might not need them! Bo is not sure what to say … - EJ coldly informs Daniel that his brotha is the best thing that will ever happen to his daughta. He calls her stupid for walking away. Papa Dan begs to differ and enlightens him. When Mel went through hell with her stress, Chad stood by. He made things worse and certainly did not protect her. How can his brother ever be trusted? EJ quips the notion of trust is highly overrated. Nicole walks up and leers he should know! Nicole walks into Daniel’s place, much to EJ’s dismay. EJ starts to say this is not over but Dan shuts the door in his face. EJ keeps talking regardless. He mutters to the door that he shall expose them for what they have done and take what is rightfully his! He now walks away. Inside, Nicole admits she did not want her friend Daniel to be alone at this time. Meanwhile, EJ steps in the elevator while updating Chad on the phone. He states this will take longer than he anticipated to handle but snaps at him to sit tight. “I said I will handle it!” he growls and impatiently presses the close doors button. - Sami gasps she does not want to give up on their love. Rafe retorts just because she wants this to be different, it does not make it so. Sami grabs his arm when he tries to walk away from her and insists he kissed her. “You remember how good it was, you remember loving me because I know I will never forget loving you.” She gets closer and wonders how he can even say he does not even want to try. Rafe stares into her eyes, his own filled with torment. - Jen wonders if Abigail will visit Cameron here at the hospital today. Abigail would rather not discuss Cameron and speaks of Mel’s rushed wedding. Jen assumes she wants to feel safe, hence the frenzied hurry. Abigail feels it is not the right reason for a girl to get married. She is not sure whether she should speak her mind. Jen thinks she should help her friend even if she does not want her to. That is what friends do ... - Dan hands a mug to Nicole and updates her on Mel going to Carly in Europe. Nicole is sympathetic. She knows all about hearts being broken by DiMeras. She suggests Mel might find someone else overseas. The kind of man who will be good to her the way he has been good to her. Nicole woefully states she would like to be there for Dan. Dan reminds her he will help her and her baby. She appreciates it, given all the stress and mess along the way. He points out he and Rafe knew that would happen. In fact, he might have come up with a way to reduce the stress level. He has an idea. Nicole is all ears … - Meanwhile Rafe has something important to say to Sami ...
