SEEING IS BELIEVING ...

- John works at his desk in his office, clad in a stylish blue shirt and tie to
match. The head of Basic Black is trying to focus on his work but cannot get that dream out of his mind - the one which ended with Kristen kissing him. He tells himself to stop thinking about it and focus on the task at hand. What is the matter with him! Stylish Marlena stands in the doorway and teases nothing as far as she knows! He explains profits were flat last quarter and he must prepare for a board meeting, hence his frustration. She reminds him they planned to have a romantic picnic at the park. He
is sorry he forgot but she just wants to know what is bothering him. He insists she need not worry about him and takes her face in his hands. He now gets a call. He must sign personally for a package at the post office. Marlena gushes she will get what they need for the picnic and meet him
at the park after he sees what a beautiful day it is. John is amused by her tenacity. They head out together but first John slips into his jacket, his face drawn and tense.
- Kristen prettily takes breakfast in her room and reads the all latest on
Salem from her ipad. She reads of Jen’s arrest and then John’s earlier embezzlement charges, which ended up being dropped. Ring ring! Tis father phoenix and he certainly hopes she is making progress. She assures him she is indeed. He is unable to return to the U.S. until he has finished some business on the continent and hopes that by then she will have things settled. She purrs she does too and stares at John’s picture ...
- Abigail rushes up to her mother at her cell. She wishes she could do something! Lawyer Justin arrives with news. Jen’s bail has been set and the judge is holding the arraignment in his chambers, due to the reporters buzzing around. Jen thinks that must be a good sign. Justin solemnly asks Abigail to give them their privacy. When the girl is gone, Justin confirms to his client that she is being charged with murder in the second degree. He was unable to get the charges reduced or dismissed. Jen is at a loss. Justin adds he has studied the case against her and the most damning things thus far are Billie and Brady’s statements. They claim she made no move to help the fallen Nicole. Jen laments she was frozen in shock and could not move. He notes there were others who heard her saying things too. Jen exclaims she was trying to save Daniel, as she could not save Jack. Justin now adds even more dire news. The police have not yet obtained a statement from Nicole. However, she should brace herself for the worst! Jen does not disagree. The police guard now arrives to take
her to the judge’s chambers.
- Distressed Dr. Dan calls and ask for an update on Jennifer but the court is not forthcoming. He flashes back to assuring Jen that he believed in
her innocence, how lost she looked. A nurse interrupts his thoughts as a patient is getting ready to leave. He needs to go see Nicole Walker first. Meanwhile, Nicole is in her bed, flashing back to everything that has happened, starting with the substitute doctor’s explanation she lost her baby to her angry accusation of Jen. Dan enters and she exclaims she
has done something just terrible! EJ visited her last night and she was sedated. Daniel sits down and gets worried. She fills him in on her and Rafe’s conversation, how EJ apparently eavesdropped, only to later return. Dan growls he will have the person who allowed him to enter her room fired! But Nicole has not even finished. EJ was kind and claimed
to have heard what she and Rafe discussed. In her groggy, drugged condition she evantually confessed he was right. “I told him the baby was his!” she cries and she is so sorry. She tried to forewarn Rafe, though he did not answer his phone. Daniel stares numbly and she cries she has ruined his noble life all for nothing as she lost her baby. He consoles her with a hug and she cries she could not bear it if EJ went after him. He is all she has left! He assures her she will be fine. She laments he could lose his license. He patiently states he made the decision to help her. They
will figure this out but all she needs to think about is getting through this difficult time. He touches her face and she cries this morning she believed for a moment she felt her baby kicking. She sobs she misses him and Daniel holds her tight as she continues her breakdown. She sniffles about her lost future. He asks if there is anything she needs. She gasps a robe and a nightgown from her suitcase in her apartment. He offers to pick up the things during his break. She does not think she could do this without him. He assures her she does not need to even try, kisses her head, and promises to be right back. She woefully thanks him. He shuts the blinds
in her room for privacy and exits. Knock knock! Abigail walks in, a strange expression on her face ...
- Bo meets up with Kayla at the coffee house. He wants to talk Roman. She explains Roman is having a tough time, given their mother and also the Jennifer case. Kayla has evidently called a family meeting about
what comes next. She does not wish to overwhelm Caroline at this point. Roman arrives. She now informs her brothers she has called other family members, to let them know they will have to make some big decisions. Roman and Bo want her to elaborate. She has received many test results back and the spells their mother has been experiencing are in fact not mini-strokes. The episodes will probably worsen. Bo disagrees as she was fine with Victor last night at the pub. Kayla explains memory loss appears to be gone one minute, then suddenly the person gets lost. She wants Bo to tell dubious Roman how bad it was. Bo admits she called him pop and it spooked her. "Damn," sighs Roman. “Why in the hell didn’t you two call me?” Kayla explains their mother had sworn them to secrecy. She
and Roman now agree that she should not be left alone. She needs home healthcare but Bo is in denial. His ma does not need a babysitter watching her every move! Kayla suggests they get her used to someone slowly.
But Bo insists Caroline be part of every decision they make from this moment on! He knows what is the most important thing to her ...
- Kristen sits at the town square café in another hat and reads all about John’s previous embezzlement charges. She immediately suspects Stefano and EJ of setting him up and does an internet search. All of a sudden, she spies John with an envelope kissing Marlena, who is primly holding a picnic basket in the middle of the town square. She watches with interest. Marlena sits beside John on a nearby bench and encourages him to get changed for the picnic. Busy John will catch up with her later. Marlena brings up his recent conversation with Sonny again. John admits it did make him remember the past. However, all that matters is the now. He kisses her again. Kristen remains in the distance, though she is close to
making her move ...!
