Up by early afternoon October 2 WICKED WAYS! - The Jen and Nicole encounter escalates at the town square as Jen screams she will make Nicole pay. Nicole steps forward and announces she is done cutting her slack. She and Dan are both fed up and he is not her concern. Jen insists she will not let her hurt her friend. Nicole smugly states what she does for Dan the man certainly does not hurt him. Jen screams she is a disgusting bitch. Brady rushes up and breaks it up. He asks what the hell they are doing. Caroline, still under the archway, is clearly shocked. - Meanwhile, all is tranquil at Dan’s apartment. For now. He reads the announcement of Jen’s return to the hospital and flashes back to her throwing the paper at him, wishing him luck. Knock knock! Tis Abigail. He invites her in and asks if everything is okay. She cries she got a message from Mel about leaving town. Dan updates her that she went to Barcelona to be with her mom. Abigail is worried. He assures her she will be fine. Abigail cannot fathom why she would bolt in such a manner, as she and Chad were so in love. Dan will leave the explaining up to Mel, but tells her friend rest assured, she made the right decision ... - At the dark, deserted pub, big bad Chad threatens to hurt Gabi. She threatens to scream. He has something else in mind, like exposing her involvement in Mel’s kidnapping. She begs him not to but he will not fall for her scared routine again! He rehashes everything she did. Gabi argues she was afraid and besides, Melanie would not want her sent to prison. Chad laments he lost everything all her because of her! She is to blame for everything! He starts to call the police and she stops him. Chad rages he will make sure she will lose everything. All of a sudden, Nick steps between them and stares him down. “Sorry, DiMera. That’s not the way this is going to play out ..." - At their coffee house table, Sami has just finished telling EJ she needs time. Rafe storms in and glares at them. He warns the coffee might keep them up late. EJ impatiently wonders WOT he wants. Mad Rafe flashes back to his blackmail, his eyes stone cold hard. He has been looking for Sami and has something to say to her. EJ doubts that would be wise, as he has done quite enough. Sami, on the other hand, is interested in what he has to say and stands up. Rafe is sorry for acting a like a jerk before. He murmurs he wishes there was a way they could work things out. EJ listens and watches like a hawk. Rafe hastily adds it is not possible but he at least hopes she will accept his apology. - Bo is making notes at the hospital when he runs into Billie. He was interviewing suspects. She laughs she does not miss being a cop, what with the lousy uniform and hours. Bo admits he is considering giving it up. Billie thinks that is the best thing she has heard. They walk and talk. He complains about the bad guys wearing him down, the inability to always bring them to justice. She assumes he means the DiMeras, then recalls how he once advised her to follow her dream. It was good advice. Bo grins knowingly. - Abigail is about to leave Dan’s apartment when she spies her mom’s picture. She laments she does not smile enough like this anymore. They now talk house guest Nicole. Abigail informs him of their big fight. It was over him! Dan wants the details. Abigail provides them, then adds Nicole believes her mom is not doing well, having lost Jack. Dan solemnly asks her to take care of her. Abigail sadly states they both overreact to little things. Dan thinks that is understandable, given what they went through. He hastens to add that he does not feel Jen has anything to fear from Nicole. Boy is he wrong! - Jen advises Brady to butt out. Brady calls her attention to the fact that she is drawing a crowd. Caroline steps forward and offers to take her home. The crowd watches. Nicole plays it cool as Jenifer continues to implode, screaming about the evil schemestress weaving her web of destruction around the good and honorable Daniel. She concludes by vowing she will not allow her to destroy him! Nicole plays innocent and pretends Jennifer misunderstood her. Brady thinks they should take it elsewhere. Caroline offers Jen a rum and tea to calm her nerves. Brady assures Caroline he has this under control. Caroline disperses the crowd. Brady offers to drive Jen home. Nicole sweetly states Jen could probably use a friend and thanks her for her hospitality. Jen is miffed. Nicole smugly walks off. - Chad taunts Nick about giving Gabi advice on how to cope in prison. Nick coolly assures him the only person going to prison will be HIM if he tells the cops what he did to him! Chad leers he does not think they are the same crimes. Nick the genius explains. Andrew is dead so no one will corroborate any statement against Gabi. Furthermore, Gabi was a witness to Chad attacking him so this will appear to be another DiMera witness intimidation. He would enjoy putting away a DiMera, as would the rest of the public. Chad realizes he has been outsmarted. He angrily agrees to keep his silence, wishes Gabi luck living with herself, growls to stay away from him, and … “We’re not done!” declares Nick. Chad is exasperated. Nick demands it in writing. They need a lawyer and he just happens to live in a house with Justin Kiriakis so it should be no problem. Chad goes along. Bo enters the pub and immediately senses the tension in the air. Is everything okay? Chad grins they were about to go. Bo hopes Nick will stay out of trouble. Nick ominously assures him he has this under control. He now turns to Gabi. She thanks him. The genius says you’re welcome and saunters out after Chad. Gabi stares in amazement and admiration. - Sami accepts Rafe’s apology. He suggests they can now move on, no hard feelings. EJ sarcastically agrees, but must momentarily step out to take a call. Sami wonders if Rafe would like to sit down. He woefully declines. He adds he is surprised to see her here with the likes of EJ. She retorts she does not owe him an explanation. Rafe hopes EJ did not take advantage of her upset frame of mind. Sami does not understand why he is even acting like he cares! She calls it torture. Rafe looks ready to cry. Sami unhappily begs him to tell her why he is acting like this! - Brady escorts Jen home and cannot believe how she was acting. They eventually agree to forget the entire incident. Jen now realizes Nicole forgot her bottle of prenatal vitamins. She asks Brady to take them to her at Daniel’s, for she is certain that is where she went running. Brady suspects she just wants her to check up on Dan and reminds her he is an adult. Jen insists evil Nicole is going to ruin Daniel’s life. Abigail returns, caught off guard by the presence of Brady. He agrees to take the vitamins and Jen nervously thanks him. Once he departs, Abigail wonders what has happened, Jen hugs her and sighs it has been a very bad night. - Chez Dan, Nicole complains to the doctor about Jen’s latest outburst. He suspects the latest incident was because of their recent run-in. He assures her Jennifer will not blow her cover. Nicole just hopes Jen will not snap like her crazy mother and start talking to walls. She begs him to let her stay with him until the baby is born! - Rafe promises not to send Sami any more mixed signals, and will not say how he hates to see her with EJ. Sami believes EJ has changed but Rafe doubts it. He now exits into the alley, where EJ drawls he assumes he remembered the terms of their deal. “Go to hell,” growls Rafe and he saunters off into the night. - Bo is sitting at the pub wearing his glasses, reading his notes. Caroline wonders what he is doing there. He is there to see her and sips his coffee, asking how she is. She has a headache as there was traffic on Jackson Street, where she took a wrong turn. What’s on his mind? He is curious whether she thinks he should take his early pension, She muses he could take time to be with family, even go visit Shawn D. Bo mischievously grins he has an idea and it might seem crazy ...
