Wednesday, October 31, 2012 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! Up by early afternoon October 30 SHOWDOWN! - At the town square, EJ stands up and impatiently wants to know WOT exactly Kristen wants. She claims she merely wants to help him get what he wants! - At the coffee house, Marlena urges Sami to quit her job but Sami has no other job. She gets miffed that this must be all about John. Sami adds that no one can tell her what to do anymore and starts to leave in a huff. - Salem Gives sorts through the recently donated baby clothes. A girl finds half of one of Nicole’s baby outfits and wonders where the other half might have gone to. - Nicole is trying without success to use the phone at the nurse’s station. No one is around to explain how to get an outside line. She hangs up when she cannot figure it out and drops her handbag. She bends down to retrieve a few fallen items and does not notice half her baby outfit right behind her on the counter! Brady leans over and greets her. He inquires about the status of her release. She explains she will be released as soon as the doctor has completed the paperwork and she will not miss this place. Brady consoles her with a sympathetic hug. He suddenly spies the plane ticket in her hand. She now shares that she is leaving Salem. He asks for how long. She sighs she has been through much here. He suspects she is trying to escape her problems and reminds her she must return for Jen’s trial. Nicole admits there will be no trial since she told the police she was not so sure that Jen pushed her after all. Brady’s eyes narrow. He demands to know who got to her! They returns to her room, where Nicole righteously reminds him that Jen would be a mother going to jail for second degree murder if she persisted! Would he want that? She had assumed he and Jen were friends. Brady agrees they are but if she pushed her … He realizes Nicole lied. She denies it. She just saw the light as pressing charges would not bring her baby back. Brady reminds her that she was sure the night of her fall. He wants to know what she is NOT telling him about this scenario. She will only say that she and Dan are going to Hawaii together. He is curious about the timing. Nicole becomes defensive. Brady drawls Dan is her latest obsession. She denies it. Dr. Cam enters with the news that she is being discharged. He wishes her the best and exits. Nicole wants to change the subject. Brady offers her a ride home. She accepts, and is looking forward to surprising Daniel at the apartment. Brady’s face is tense. He still does not believe her. - Jen is still at Dan’s apartment. Replay of him blurting out that he must protect her for he LOVES her! Jen whispers he still loves her? Dan gets closer. She wonders if he wishes to retract any of what he said, but the doc dramatically declares he does not. Jen blinks. They sit down and she wonders since when he has loved her. He murmurs it never stopped but he was compelled to keep his distance after she went back to Jack. And he will never stop loving her either! However, this really changes nothing. She wishes he had told her before and is dismayed he is leaving town with Nicole. He emotionally insists that has nothing to do with how he feels about her! He admits he does not love Nicole, yet he is going away with her. Jen simply cannot accept it. Dan suggests that he and Nicole are alike but she disagrees they have anything in common. Dan angrily remembers EJ. He refused to let him hurt her and he remains convinced that helping her escape his wrath was the right thing to do for her. Jen questions whether it was a good idea for him. He insists it was not a sacrifice. Jen, however thinks it is, for in return for her freedom, she is losing him! The medicine man wonders in what sense she means that. She talks friendship. He murmurs she has so many friends. They were never friends. One day she will find love again with a man who can make her happy. He will sing to her, open door, bring her breakfast in bed, and even laugh at her corny jokes. Jen smiles. Dan adds he would be a lucky man and woefully opens the door. “Goodbye, Jen,” he wistfully whispers. She turns and he watches as she sadly steps out of his life. He leans his head against the shut door and sighs. Jen leans her head on the other side of the shut door and quietly cries. - At the pub, Kayla is getting the employees organized for Halloween. Abe arrives and she is glad to see him. He asks how she is coping now that Caroline is gone. She sighs she is actually not so okay and keeps working. She had not realized how much she needed Caroline and hopes she will come home having beaten this thing. Abe assures her nothing would surprise him about Caroline so it is indeed possible! He gives her a meaningful look. - Marlena stops Sami and warns her that Kristen is playing games. She now updates her on Kristen following her to the park, her cell phone going missing, only to be found by the secretary. Sami wonders if she might be mistaken. Marlena insists she wants her to seem paranoid. Sami points out that is not as bad as locking her in secret rooms like the old days but Marlena begs to differ. She now complains about her meeting her therapist. Sami thinks she will be fine even though that does sound creepy. She thinks she can deal with Kristen! John saunters up to their table and drawls she should heed her mother’s advice. It would be best to keep her distance from that Kristen! Marlena reasons Kristen is more dangerous than ever as she now has an axe to grind. Sami argues she (Sami) is a survivor who is looking after her kids well, working. And she can deal with someone like Kate, so surely she can handle a crazy bitch like Kristen. She will proceed with caution, her eyes wide open. Marlena warns that is not enough. Sami now wants John’s honest opinion. He stares hawkishly. It is true they have no concrete proof about Kristen being like her old self. Marlena insists she is passive-aggressive. Marlena and John now disagree with what happened at the town square when the child fell off her bike. Marlena suspects it was no coincidence that John was present. John begs to differ. Kristen was being a good Samaritan. Marlena pouts. - At the town square, Kristen proposes a toast to family. “Don’t make me laugh!” quips EJ. She changes it to new beginnings. He agrees, they clink their glasses, and he sips his ale, she her white wine. She assures him she will help him win Sami. He questions how much she knows. She mentions their illustrious past, including how she was reported to have shot him. EJ wants more than common knowledge. Kristen points out Sami is having a tough time forgiving Rafe for lying about being the father of Nicole's baby. Sami has doubts about Rafe and therein lies the opening. EJ listens and would like to know her angle. Wot is in this for her? They have a complex history so why would she wish to be his life coach? She implies they have much in common, as they have both done extreme things for love. EJ suspects she might assume that getting Sami in his arms would get John Black away from Marlena. The question is, how does she think that would work? Kristen airily states that is old history, dead and buried. She is done with John. EJ teases about how many times she has seen John since arriving in Salem. She smoothly changes the subject back to Sami. EJ muses at least he admits to his obsession and presses her to come clean. Kristen claims she only wants to oust Sami from the company, which brings her to her next topic. Sooner or later they will have to discuss father! - Brady solemnly delivers Nicole and her bag to Dan’s apartment. The doc is most welcoming but must go to the hospital to give in his notice. Nicole will shower and rest. Dan walks Brady out and Brady tells him what he just learned. Dan explains Nicole is no longer sure of what happened on those stairs, hence her retraction. Brady suspiciously wonders if he has first class plane tickets. Dan asks him to be there for the fair Jen as a friend once he is gone. She will be needing all her friends around her. Brady laments she is not exactly happy with him at present. Dan feels she will forgive him in time. Brady remarks it sounds like he is not ever coming back ... - Unhappy little Jen rushes over to the Kiriakis mansion, throws her arms around Maggie, and gasps she is her only hope! Maggie is relieved that she is out on bail, but what is the matter? Jen informs her the charges against her are being dropped. Maggie is elated. Jen cries it is great. - Nicole is surfing the net about Hawaii, then becomes emotional when she sees an ad for a mommy keychain. Perhaps Brady was right and she is wrong to assume that changing her geographic location will miraculously fix everything. - Nurse Maxine wonders why Daniel is going to Hawaii. He is busy filling out forms as she laments she does not understand. Fortunately for him, she gets paged away before she can continue. - Brady arrives at the coffee house while Marlena and John continue to disagree about Kristen. Marlena does not believe she has changed! Sami exits the establishment and John must step away to answer a call. Brady wants the scoop from his stepmother. Marlena complains that Kristen is out of control with her antics but John and Sami will not listen! Brady suspects they do not want to deal with another DiMera. He reminds her that John would never let anyone associated with a DiMera harm his clan, plus he has HIM as his backup! - Kristen updates EJ on her complex past with Stefano, who has done much for her. He would do anything to make things right with EJ! EJ explains he made him a man he does not even want to be, hence his refusal to have anything to do with him. She argues he is the only father he has. EJ is not interested. She now offers to help him with Sami on the condition that he have at least some contact with their father. EJ remains cynical. Kristen reasons that this is all about family. With Sami and the kids and also father, he will have the wonderfully complicated family of his dreams. They are alike in wanting something bound by love and blood. EJ considers. She would like to know if they have a deal. Before he can answer, his phone rings."She did WOT?!" He hastily excuses himself and storms off ... - Sami walks and talks on her phone. She becomes angry upon hearing that a product launch she approved has been canceled. This will end now!
