Friday, October 5, 2012 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! Up by early afternoon October 4 RAW ... - At the hospital, nervous Nicole hopes this is a common thing. It happened before once when the baby was in an unusual position. The efficient lady doctor wants to do an ultrasound. Once she sets it up, Nicole nervously notices she is not letting her see the baby and begs her to show her her baby! Nicole asks if she saw the heartbeat and cries she feels it like her own. She begs her to show her and tries to grab the wand. - Jen and Dan are still at the coffee house. He suggests he and Jen are not friends. She does not think that is what he truly wants. He woefully states it is the best thing. She woefully agrees. She will not even glance at him anymore. He wishes her the best and stands up. She stops him and whispers he is letting Nicole ruin his life as well as their friendship. He is throwing away all that matters, including his noble medical career. Dan refuses to discuss. Jen reminds him daughter Mel is somewhere fighting to stay strong … How would the fallout from his scheme affect her? He could be accused of fraud and lose his license. She snaps mama Maggie is beside herself too. He owes it to his family to think of them. Dan coolly retorts they are in his life, whereas she is not. “Goodbye, Jennifer!” Exit Dan. - At the town square Rafe and Sami keep kissing. “You have no idea how much … " he gasps. She says to talk later kiss now, and so it continues as EJ stands glaring at the smooching pair. They eventually stop for air.Sami updates Rafe on how she learned EJ had something on Gabi. Rafe was protecting his sister! Rafe is over the moon and kisses her again. She gets miffed about EJ’s plan but Rafe grins he would rather discuss them, their future. They kiss again. EJ solemnly takes out his phone, keeping his eye on the prize. - Bo is at a pub table with Kayla. He wonders if this chief of staff stuff at the hospital is too much for her to handle. Kay remarks she likes keeping busy, given it gets her mind off the divorce. Bo confides that for him, the job is not presently so good for his home life. Hope enters and assures them both she supports him completely. Bo admits Roman might have a tough time accepting his resignation. Kayla does not disagree. Bo is now surprised to hear there are going to be more layoffs and goes to confront Roman when Hope lets it slip that he asked her to help decide who would stay and who would go. Bo Brady is a man of the people, after all … - Rafe and Sami continue their reunion of kisses after kisses until their phones ring at the same time. She checks her message and glances at EJ in the distance. Rafe’s message was work related. It can wait. Sami haughtily grins her message was stupid and she will not waste her time! Rafe asks if she is hungry. Starving. They decide to chow down together. First Sami has something on her to do list she must get rid of. Rafe offers to pick up the food for their picnic. They arrange to meet back at the loft. He grins it is a date. She hopes it will be much more and they lock lips one more time. Sami watches Rafe walk away. EJ now approaches with \a boyish smile and sheepishly assures Samantha he can explain ... - Nicole’s face is flooded with tears as the doctor tries unsuccessfully to find a heartbeat.”Stop,” she now sadly states. The doctor tells it like it is. “Nicole, your baby is dead.” She sobs, her heart breaking. The doctor assures her it was not her fault. There could have been a defect they were unaware of. However, they must induce labor in the next day or two. She will contact her regular doctor and explain what has happened. Nicole stares numbly into space. - Bo bursts into Roman’s office and accuses him of cutting new cop grads just to meet his numbers! Commissioner Roman complains he hands are tied. He must lay off the two least experienced detectives. It is all about seniority at the Salem P.D., as Bo well knows. Bo suggests he retire early instead of letting the two recent cop school grads get dropped. - Maggie enters the pub. Nick is hard at work. Rafe appears with a goofy grin and would like to borrow the Nickster. It concerns a personal matter. Maggie gives the guys their space. Rafe thanks him for what he did for his little sister. Nick takes it all in stride. Rafe now suspiciously wonders why he risked so much for Gabi … - Sami is amused that EJ actually has the nerve to think he can explain. She knows he blackmailed Rafe so he could get her. EJ admits it may have seemed rather misguided. She says twisted and sick! He concedes it was a terrible thing, though his motives were pure. He takes her hand and gently informs her did it because he loves her. He stares deeply into her eyes. Sami has decided that he has no heart and warns him she will not be drawn in again. He argues they were starting something together. She thinks it was a mistake. He disagrees. She cries she was open with him, being herself, not playing games, but then HE played her! He has not changed one bit! He insists what they shared was real but she gasps he was not being real with her and gives him a shove. She hisses he was comforting her about Rafe and playing his dirty blackmailing game at the same time! She accuses him of making her cry and hurting Chad as well. “You would sell anyone up the river to further your agenda.” In her view, his declaration of love is empty, just like him. Rafe, on the other hand, knows what real love is, and she intends to go to him now! EJ patiently stops her. - Nick explains to Rafe that he felt Gabi deserved another chance, like he got. They are friends. Rafe understands. Nick perceives he does not seem to approve of their budding friendship and says as much. - At Horton house, Jen impatiently picks up some magazines from the table and rushes to the door. She opens it to Kayla, who smiles she must be taking out her recycling. They now talk work and Jen wonders if she belongs at the hospital. Kayla realizes she is considering quitting. - Maggie happily opens the Kiriakis door to Daniel. As it turns out, he is miffed she spoke to Jennifer about what he had told her in confidence. She is sorry but had good intentions, assuming she could help. Dan insists that he and the widow Jen are no longer friends. Maggie cannot believe what she is hearing. Dan implores his mom to accept it. - The doctor urges Nicole to rest. She will summon a nurse who will be able to tell her what she needs to do. Nicole mutters her baby is Daniel Rafael, that is his name. The doctor is sorry. Nicole is aware she has a flight to catch and numbly tells her to go. The substitute doctor pauses for a moment at the door and repeats how sorry she is before taking her leave. Now alone, Nicole spies the pretty yellow bag of her most recent purchases for baby nearby and cries in desperation. - Roman confesses he could keep the two potential job cuts on staff if Bo resigned. However, he does not want his brother to play martyr, for that is no reason to give up his career. Bo insists he is not being a martyr and hands him his letter of resignation. The truth is, he has been carrying it around for a week. Roman wonders why. Bo admits he was waiting for the right moment and that moment is now. - Rafe gives Nick an intense look and states Gabi is presently vulnerable. He does not want her taken advantage of. Nick earnestly promises he will not do that. Rafe is glad to hear it and gets to the big food order for himself and a certain special someone … - EJ takes Sami’s hand and gazes at it. He murmurs she is just pitting him against Rafe, like darkness against light. It makes her feel safer, even how he is claiming paternity of Nicole’s baby. However, it makes him a liar and he shall be caught! Sami notes EJ lied about believing him. EJ places his face closer to hers and whispers he lied to her so he could have her, whereas Rafe lied to another man about his child. He dares her to ask him. She should look him straight in the eye and ask him. Then she will see what he already knows. Sami takes a step back and grimaces. EJ grins and saunters confidently off. Sami appears flustered ...
