Up by early afternoon October 5 FAR FROM OVER - Still seated all alone at his gloomy desk, EJ sighs as his phone rings and rings with fatha Stefano calling. He answers and growls he knows not why he keeps persisting. He has made it abundantly, painfully clear that he wants nothing to do with the man who until only recently had turned his back on him! - At the loft, Sami insists Rafe has to include her in on the secret if he and Nicole are trying to dupe EJ about his baby, as she can help. Rafe looks worried. She understands if he is reluctant to involve her. EJ, in her view, has been a good father to Johnny and Sydney. Still, she gets why he would want to keep EJ at bay. Rafe tensely rubs the back of his neck, Sami keeps talking. She assures him she is not going to forgive EJ for his latest scheme with poor Gabi and wants in on this new fight! - Nicole blubbers while staring at Dan tenderly holding Jen’s arm. There is no mistaking the chemistry. They have not seen her standing there. She turns and staggers back into her room, whispering no.This cannot be real! Her baby cannot be gone! She desperately declares she needs Daniel and yet he is with the widow Jennifer! She glances from the monitor to the yellow baby shopping bag, then takes out the little baby clothes, throws the bag across the room, and falls into the chair, screaming and crying. It is so very unfair that this is happening to her again! - Lucas saunters up to Kate’s table at the pub and notices she looks busy. He is curious. She purrs she is plotting against Sami. He clears his throat and she wonders what is the matter. Is it Will? Lucas gulps. As a matter of fact, the problem this time is him! He caught an eyeful of Will and Sonny kissing in public. Kate reminds him that gay people do kiss. Lucas admits he was taken aback and felt uncomfortable. Kate hopes he did not let Will see his overreaction. Lucas exclaims he could not hide it and Will seemed so disappointed. Kate wonders what he said in reaction to Lucas’ upset. That if he could not get over this, there was nothing more to say between them. Kate agrees. Will was right! - EJ bitterly reminds perplexed Stefano he cut him out all because of a bogus letter he never even bothered to authenticate. Stefano, however, has noted the desperation in his voice and knows something is bothering him! EJ frowns. He flashes back to Sami leaving him for Rafe. Stefano reminds him he is his flesh and blood. If anyone has hurt his son, all he needs is their name and he will make them pay! - Sami is still talking EJ to Rafe. She has seen the light.That EJ will never change. Rafe grins he could have told her that. She assures him she will not make that mistake again. He wonders how she did in the first place. She explains she was alone and foolish but he failed for she is not his. Rafe will not judge her. She insists she will never trust EJ again, plus she is sure Rafe would never lie to her like him. Rafe tries to change the subject but Sami repeats she needs to know the truth so she can help if need be. - Nicole whispers she lost her baby, her sweet little Daniel Raphael. She touches her tummy and cries he was not supposed to leave her. She sobs and decides she must get out of this place but alas she has nowhere to go and no one is waiting for her. She has lost everything and screams and cries all alone in her hospital room, then spies a surgical knife. Eerie music is heard as she picks it up and stares at it through her tears. - Sonny and Will are playing with each others’ hands over their table at the coffee house as Will looks at his computer and grins he has to read Don Quixote. Sonny soon notices Victor standing in the doorway and immediately instructs an employee to prepare the most expensive coffee beans they have. Vic is pleased. Sonny points out Will has studying to do so they catch up at the counter. Victor seems to have something on his Mediterranean mind. Sonny is all ears. The Greek tycoon hesitates and admits it is not his business. But Sonny urges him to share. Victor now speaks. He could not help but notice him and Will holding hands and they seem to be more than friends. Sonny grins that is because they are. Does he have a problem with it? - EJ coldly informs fatha that his offer of assistance is too little too late. He is not even remotely interested. Stefano reminds him he is a DiMera. If he is wrrrrrronged, he must strrrrrrike back. “Vengeance must be had!” EJ claims he does not need his assistance. Stefano disagrees. EJ grumbles the conversation is over and ends the call. Stefano sighs in exasperation. This matter is far from over … ! - Sami is still talking about EJ. She knows him even better than he knows himself. It is only a matter of time until he makes his next move to win her back. Rafe hopes she does not mean she will actually pretend to fall for it. Sami thinks if she went undercover and played along, pretending to fall for EJ again, then they would be a step ahead of him. Rafe becomes suspicious that she sounds too keen on her so-called plan to get close to EJ. Sami assures him she is being honest. He should therefore be honest with her about it not being his baby for that is the only way it will work. - Jen’s hand has been bandaged. She asks Dan if they can get back to discussing the situation with Nicole. He stands up and gets back to work. Kayla returns with the news that the power is back and asks Jen to revise the press release. Jen still wants to talk to Dan but he coldly dismisses her. Once she has walked away, Kayla wonders what she missed. - Nicole puts down the surgical knife and decides there must be a bigger reason for this to be happening. She tries to make sense of it all. Surely she is not supposed to be alone again! Dan knocks at the door and enters. She wonders what he wanted to tell her and assumes the worst. He must be back with Jennifer. Yes , he is. It does not change anything for her. He is still her friend and is there for her and her baby. He asks about her appointment and proceeds to place the stethoscope against her tummy. A knock at the door brings Nicole back to reality from her Dr. Dan daydream. A young nurse gingerly enters and asks if everything is okay in here. - Kate realizes Lucas just wants Will to be happy. Lucas admits it is hard for him to accept this. He is having a hard time changing how he feels. She thinks he is not homophobic but he fears Will thinks he is. Kate tells him it will take him some time and effort but he will be able to get there. It took their Will a long time to accept who he is. And because of that he will probably be patient with his father too. Lucas suddenly gets an idea about what he has to do to make things right. He thanks Kate for the pep talk and goes to find Will ... - Victor assures Sonny as long as he is happy, he is happy. Sonny is indeed. Victor now charmingly invites Will to come over to the house sometime for a visit. They can even put Henderson to work on the grill. Will gushes he is looking forward to it. Sonny gives the Greek tycoon his best coffee and he departs. Will is curious what that was all about. Sonny grins his uncle was just being a great guy. - Rafe scoffs. “Sami, you’re looking for something that isn’t there!” He denies there is any secret or conspiracy. He assumes she simply does not want him to be the father of Nicole’s baby. And if there is a problem, she must tell him now. - Kayla lets Dan know that the widow Jen is considering resigning. She is of the opinion that it is somehow because of him. Dan glowers. Moments later, he makes a mysterious call. “I need to see you!” - The young disorganized nurse accidentally gets Nicole mixed up with another pregnant patient and Nicole is too tired and emotionally spent to correct her. She complains about everything being so messy with all the things recorded on paper while the computers were down. Nicole says nothing. The nurse promises the doctor will be here shortly, congratulates her on her pregnant state, and waddles out of the room. - Sonny teasingly takes the computer away from Will, as he was reading the Spanish book in English. Enter Lucas with news of an announcement. Sonny offers to give them privacy but Lucas wants both guys to hear what he has to say. Sonny takes a seat. The pair anxiously wait ...
