Up by early afternoon October 8 HERE COMES TROUBLE ... - At the town square, Rafe gets a hand on the shoulder and turns around to needy Nicole. She wants to talk. He wonders what is the matter. She starts to cry she cannot say. He assures her he is still there for her and baby. She cries she has lost the baby and he hugs her. But that was a daydream! The reality is that Nicole is standing alone watching Rafe. She is still watching when Sami calls from the wine shop, asking about his favorite wine. He flirtatiously assures Sami any wine will be the best as long as he is sharing it with her. Nicole frowns. Rafe gushes to Sami to hurry back and ends the call. Nicole mutters she has lost Daniel and ... But she must speak with Rafe since at least he is one who cares! And so she approaches his outdoor table at the town square, her unhappy face filled with determination. As luck would have it, before she gets there, Sami returns with the wine. Rafe eagerly picks up the picnic basket and the happy couple departs together, not having noticed Nicole in the distance. She sighs woefully. - Hope has a happy kiss when she meets Bo at the coffee house. He grins he came up with a way to include everything he wants to do in one swoop! He hopes she will be on board. Literally! Bo is desperately seeking her agreement and enthusiasm for his big idea. She is glad to see him excited, then adds he was a great cop. He admits there were times he liked it. But the best times of their life happened when they sailed the world with Shawn D. And Ciara likes sailing. He suggests they track their son down and see the world through their daughter’s eyes from a boat. He shows Hope the ports he has chosen and she raises an eyebrow. How could he think she would not see through this!Each port he chose is home to either a DiMera enterprise or subsidiary. She appears amused. He is surprised that she does not seem mad. Before they can continue the conversation, Marlena approaches, sorry to hear the infamous member of the Salem P.D. has resigned. But Bo is elated and goes to tell ma. Marlena sits opposite Hope and she chuckles her husband yearns to sail the world again. Marlena wonders why she did not tell him she did not share his enthusiasm. Hope realizes Marlena sees right through her smile. She confesses she fears Bo is being impulsive. However, he is too happy for her to dare dampen his spirits. Marlena encourages her to share her doubts with him. There must be honesty before they set sail or no one will have the trip of their dreams ... - At Jen’s office, Dr. Dan dramatically repeats his intent to resign instead of Jen. She insists the hospital needs him. He thinks the hospital will be fine without him, as they were before. She demands to know where he is going and hopes Nicole will not be joining him! He refuses to be grilled about his personal plans. He thinks the hospital would miss her more. And that is all he has to say. Jen exclaims Nicole does not truly care or need him. She is nothing but trouble and he should ask her long list of casualties, including the very dead Collin Murphy. Dan is exasperated. Jen urges him to let that woman ruin someone else’s life for that is what the vixen does! The doc quietly reminds her this is not her business. Jen will not stop. She points out he is quitting his job because of her, according to him. She wants his assurances he is not quitting to be with Nicole but has a bad feeling. She reasons he is a wonderful man and doctor, which is why he is mixed up in the unethical mess of Nicole’s. And it is not just the loss of his medical license which is at stake. “You could go to prison, Daniel! For what!” She would never forgive herself. Dan has had quite enough. He flat out refuses to ever discuss Nicole with her and storms off. Jen is all wound up. - Nicole parks her baby bag on a bench and laments life is unfair. She now gets a message from Dan. He wants to discuss what she said about moving to Utah. She stares. Was this message before or after she spied him holding Jen’s hand and giggling at the hospital? He might have been ready to commit to her and she simply must know! She almost leaves him a message, but stops. She has no idea whether or not he is aware that she lost the baby. What to do? She touches her tummy and silently cries. - Rafe and Sami are back at the spot where they had their first date once upon a time. It was a picnic. Good times. The memories come flashing back, ending with Sami falling in the river. She now teases she is standing far from the edge of the water this time around. Rafe had noticed. She muses she does learn from her mistakes. He drawls about things ending well and flashes back to kissing her under a blanket, under the dazzling night sky as stars twinkled overhead. Sami notes how amazing it is that so much has taken place since that time. She tells him how she was so enamored of him and the fact that he returned her affection. She was looking forward to their future dates and good times. He grins there were certainly plenty. Sami continues pouring out her heart to him. She told herself not to screw up and then alas she did. She deeply regrets she did something that he could never forgive. She will never forgive herself either! He wonders why she is bringing this up. She softly says she needs forgiveness for them to work and bats her baby blue eyes at him. Will he ever be able to forgive her? Rafe considers. - Jennifer nosily organizes her desk, raging that she hates her she hates her she hates her! Baffled Billie enters and wonders who she hates. "Who else? Nicole!" - Nicole now hears from Dan, who is back at the hospital. He notices she sounds different and suggests they talk. About running away to Utah? Indeed. He will meet her at the coffee house in 15. She promises to be there ... - Bo is at the pub on the phone with a boat owner. He arranges to go see the sailboat with his wife, then joins Caroline and fills her in on his plan for a family reunion at sea. She smiles it is wonderful. Bo points out they will be gone a long time to see the world and she hugs him in support. He thanks her for it. - Rafe works to open the wine as Sami sits opposite him on the blanket. He did not mean to be cruel when he said he would not forgive her. She regrets she lied to him for months about breaking their marriage vows. He drawls she was right. For a long time he did not want to be near her but then they kissed. In his heart, he then knew what they had to do. She bitterly notes EJ blackmailed him and ruined everything. The wine cork pops and he proceeds to pour, asking her not to talk about that. Sami marvels they did not give up. He now looks her in the eye and informs her he does forgive her. Sami is reduced to tears. He adds he hopes she can forgive him too. Sami is not sure what he means ... - Nicole meets Dan at the coffee house. She agrees they do need to talk about something ...
