Friday October 24, 2008 All rights reserved. Link Only CIRCLE OF LIFE Bo enters Brady pub, where Max is tending bar. They argue about Melanie. Bo wants to clear ma of the murder charge. Steph walks up, reiterating that Max is being duped by his sis, who uses men. Max wants her to stop trashing her. They bicker. Steph feels she has done the right thing and tells Bo she would be happy to give a sworn statement. She will not cry in front of Max. She stomps away. Max is exasperated. What the hell is there to cry about? Bo considers. "Because she’s in love with an idiot?" He should try to work things out with his girl. Max is mad. Bo's cell rings. He walks off to take the call and tells Max not to blow it. Steph approaches him again. He is sorry. So is she. She starts to criticize Melanie again. Max points out she is scared and alone. - Upstairs, Melanie repeats she did not kill Trent and puts her arms around Phil. She coos he must know she is innocent cos they have such a connection. She is glad he came. They kiss. He knows she is no novice. They get hot and heavy and end up in bed. Phil suddenly gets up. He is not sure he would feel good about sleeping with a killer. She calls him a jerk and accuses him of leading her on. She is in tears. Phil doesn't buy her routine. The whole thing was a test. He feels her behavior is pretty much an admission of guilt. He tells her to fix her hair. They are going out to face the music ... - Downstairs, Bo is at a table with Max and Steph. He does not want to pin a murder on anyone, he will just continue to investigate a prime suspect. Phil and Mel come downstairs. Phil then approaches Bo, much to Melanie's horror! He announces he saw Melanie with Trent's wallet after the murder. Bo is mad. He evidently talked it over with Mel first. Phil retorts he just wanted to get a handle on the situation. Mel raises her voice, Max suggests she not speak till she has a lawyer. Mel has an outburst. She will not lay down and die so Bo can protect his precious ma and they have no evidence cos her prints were not on that wallet! Bo tells her to take Max's advice about the lawyer and also not leave town. Mel shrieks he cannot stop her and storms back up to her room. Bo warns smug Phil not to play Hardy boy again. Max and Steph discuss the situation. Max still feels his sister did not necessarily kill Trent regardless. - Upstairs, Mel is anxious to get her stuff and leave town. A note is slowly slipped under her door. She pick it up and reads the message. "I saw you at the cemetery. I know what happened." - At the hospital, Kate approaches Dr. Dan, carrying his swimsuit! They go behind a curtain and she puts her arms around him. Dan says they shouldn't. Kate wonders if he wants to break it off. Dan notes she is really just trying to get her mind off those anticipated results. Kate hasn't coughed in the last 24 hours. If she is dying, she wants him. If she isn't, she wants him. She They start to kiss. Dan's cell rings. Chelsea comes by, looking for Dr. Jonas. She opens the curtain and sees the two standing together. Kate claims she was just returning something. Chelsea wanted to go over some files with him. He will do so, after he sees to something. He leaves Chels and Kate alone for a moment. Chelsea asks what Kate was returning to him. Kate says she does not have to stay with her but Chelsea is on break. She is in tears as she has spoken with Lexie. She admits it hurts because she loves Kate so much. Kate is understanding. Chelsea goes on. She knows Kate and Dan are over so she is ready to forgive her if she will be her grandmother again. Chelsea is ready to forgive and forget. They hug. Chelsea then sees the swimsuit on the bed and picks it up. This is what she was returning to Daniel?! She then realizes what has been going on and lashes out. Kate reminds Chelsea that she and Dan are not together any longer. Kate has nothing to be ashamed of. Furthermore, Chelsea is too old for these temper tantrums. Dan is now nearby and watches uncertainly. Chelsea is upset. The joke is on her again. She calls Kate a self-centered bitch. She wants her out of her life. Kate suggests she be careful what she wish for. Dan walks up, carrying the test results. Kate wants him to read them aloud. He does. Metastatic carcinoma. Kate has cancer ... - At the cabin, Sami yells she does not wish to take her children to witness protection. Roman replies her kids would not be there. Sami yells and cries in protest. Marlena tries to console her. EJ is quiet. Chloe is now there. Sami lashes out at her. She is not leaving her children with Lucas and EJ. She is their mother and they need her. EJ starts to applaud. Well done. He agrees, she does not need to go. She would not be an easy target at DiMera mansion. Sami is against his idea. The mayor was just shot on their doorstep. Marlena also disagrees. Roman announces he will call a friend he has at the bureau. Lucas points out she must keep the kids protected and safe. Sami sees the light. She will go into the program. EJ is perplexed by her 180. He senses something. Sami stands firm. Marlena is baffled that Sami is taking Lucas' advice, though it is the safest thing. Roman makes the call and sets it up. Her kids are with Hope, so she can say goodbye to them now, after Roman picks them up. She has to pack. EJ knows she has something on her mind. Sami later packs and Lucas realizes she just wants to hide with her pregnancy from EJ. She replies this bides her some time but only if he keeps her secret and Chloe does, too. "If you ever cared about me, promise you won't say anything." She gasps and cries. Lucas reassures her. She will just be away until Roman catches the bad guy. He agrees to keep her secret. She is worried about leaving her kids. Lucas will look out for them. Marlena later meets with Sami, to say goodbye. Enter EJ. Her dad has arrived. The two kids are brought in. Lucas hands Sami Aly. Everyone watches. Roman wants a word. She cannot take anything that will tie her to her life there, not even baby pics. Sami's face turns red and she starts to cry. Marlena must leave for an emergency. She will call later, to say goodbye again. She is proud of Sami's courage. They hug. Exit Marlena, Roman, and Chloe. Sami, Lucas and EJ are alone with the kids. EJ is holding Johnny, who drops his car. EJ sets him down. Sami crouches down to get it. Johnny touches Sami's tummy with his little hand. "Beebee." EJ looks stunned. "Baby?" The following message flashes on the screen. "In Memory of James E. Reilly." Thursday October 23, 2008 PROTECTION! - At Horton cabin, EJ is suspicious when Sami tries to get rid of him. She steps back into the assassin's sights! - At DiMera mansion, Nicole cuts Chloe off as she does not wish to hear about Sami. She talks baby names. Chloe is distracted. She is worried about her friend. Nicole tells her that according to EJ, he wants it all - with her. But she does have feelings of insecurity. She states Chloe's loyalty means a lot to her. Chloe excuses herself to make a call. In the hall, she takes out her cell. - Still at the cabin, Lucas gets the call from Chloe. She wants to tell her friend Nicole and she will not be loyal to Sami! Exit Lucas, to stop her. Sami and EJ walk around at the window. He wants to know why on earth she is staying at the cabin. She is tired and asks him to leave. He knows her. What is going on, please? She wants to go to bed and turns away from him. All of a sudden EJ spies the telltale red light on her head and leaps into action. He shouts for her to get down and pushes her out of the way! Sami is confused until he informs her someone is shooting at her! They remain seated on the floor together and EJ places a call on his cell phone. Roman arrives with the Salem P.D. Marlena and John arrive, too. Roman is not surprised by the attempted shooting. He warned Sami not to go to the cabin! He orders the area cordoned off. John asks about the trajectory. Marlena thinks John ought to leave.He does. Sami laments to EJ that the killer is after her. The cops are unable to find anything outside. Sami gasps that the killer will not stop until he has killed her cos only she can ID him. Roman has an announcement. He is putting Sami under police protection. He later elaborates. Sami wil be in a witness protection program ... - At the cafe, crying Stephanie literally bumps into Phil. What is the matter? She fills him in on Mel's confession to Max, how she tried to set Steph up, and that Steph told Bo and Hope. Phil listens intently. He sighs when he hears about the wallet. She has done the right thing and he is sorry about Max. If it was meant to be, they will figure it out. Phil leaves for a meeting ... - Bo and Hope are at the police station. Enter Max, who has been summoned. He is mad to see his sister's name is circled on the suspects board. Bo and Hope repeat what Stephanie told them about Melanie's sketchy but suspicious memory. They need him to corroborate Steph's story, Bo points out. Did Melanie admit to the murder of her father? Max complains he and Steph have broken up. He states Melanie never confessed. Enter Steph, who cannot believe her ears! Max continues to deny it. Hope takes Stephanie out of the room. Bo explains to Max that he is not being noble by turning his back on the truth. Max brings up how Bo stood by Phil. He is doing the same thing with his sister. Bo defends Stephanie's actions. Max feels betrayed and he has a gut feeling that Melanie is innocent! Max feels he had a better life than his poor sis and now he is all she has ... Outside, Hope consoles Stephanie. All Mel does is use him, Steph complains. Hope believes he is just trying to do what's right. But if he refuses to back her up, then they have nothing. Exit Max. Where is Stephanie? She is gone. Hope suggests he go after her before it is too late. - At the pub, Mel and Nick return. She is subdued. She alludes to their having a future together but then has a shock when she hallucinates that evil Trent is sitting at the bar, watching her! Nick notices she is pale. Melanie suddenly stands up, excuses herself, and runs up to her room. Trent’s apparition is there and he is merciless. "I’m baaaack!" She raises her voice that she will not let him haunt her and jumps in bed. Trent taunts her for killing him, now she will pay the price. She doesn't remember, though and screams she didn't do it, running to the door and flinging it open, only to come face to face with Phil! He knows everything. Steph told him what she did to her. He also knows what she did to her father. Mel snaps at him to get out. Phil accuses her of murdering her father. He saw her with Trent's wallet. She insists she killed no one and begs him not to tell anyone. He cares about justice. She wants him to leave and stop harassing her. He wants the truth. He understands she has been thru hell. She gets sarcastic. Oh sure, she was unloved and miserable and therefore knifed Trent in the back! Phil starts to leave. Mel wants to know if he is going to tell the cops about her having the wallet. She gets close to him. What can she do to make him believe her? She is willing to buy his silence, she says, and starts to undress him ... - Back at the mansion. Nicole asks about Chloe's mysterious phone call. Chloe fibs she was just telling Lucas she would be home later. Nicole admits she is stressed due to Sami. EJ is drawn to her still. Chloe is subdued. She then starts to tell her but is interrupted by Lucas, who barges in. He wants to speak to Chloe. Nicole is annoyed. What did Chloe want to tell her? Lucas retorts he will tell her himself. Sami and EJ share a child together, Lucas reminds her. Nicole doubts he came to tell her that. Lucas mentions Sami and EJ had a passionate past. He is cut short when his cell rings. It is sobbing Sami. He rushes out and heads back to the cabin after learning someone tried to kill her. Chloe is miffed. Nicole wonders aloud where EJ is. Enter John, who answers. "Elvis is with Samantha. He just saved her life." Nicole cannot believe her ears. John pours himself a drink. Now that Samantha is in danger, he adds, Elvis will want her even closer ... - At the pub, Stephanie runs into Nick, who says Melanie was with him and then took off, acting strangely. Enter Max. Exit Nick. Max apologizes to Stephanie and reminds her she is the one who betrayed him. "We’re done," Steph replies and departs. Meanwhile, Lucas has returned to the Horton cabin and, like everyone there, is stunned to hear that Sami will now be in a witness protection program ... Wednesday October 22, 2008 TARGETED! It is evening in Salem. - Dan gets out of the Kiriakis pool. Phillip arrives home from work, and boy is he mad to see him! Dan says Victor allowed him to take a dip. Phil hauls off and slugs him! He knows what happened by the poolside with his mother! He calls Dan two-faced and a fraud. Dan says he makes Kate happy and calls Phil a little bastard. He has had enough. Phil warns him he is no good and better stay away from his mother! Dan responds. Who the hell does he think he is?! Phil trashes him for hooking up with Kate again. Is it cos she is sick? Dan tells him that he and Kate need each other right now. Hot head Phil stops and considers. Ok. He agrees to stay out of it, for his mother’s sake. - At the Horton cabin, Lucas gives Chloe a massage by the fireplace. She complains about Sami's dilemma. Lucas would rather not discuss. Let them enjoy the evening. She agrees. They start to make out. Afterwards, he tells her how perfect she is. - At the police station, Sami tries to describe the killer to the police artist. Enter Marlena. Sami gets hysterical again about what happened. Marlena reassures her. Sami is nervous. Who would want to kill the mayor? When she is done with the artist, Marlena suggests she come stay with her as soon as Roman lets her leave. Sami makes a funny face. All of them? She can't. She is staying with Lucas at the cabin. Marlena is baffled. What about Chloe? Sami promises she will not turn the Horton cabin into a war zone. - The mayor's assassin is on his cell phone and repeats that Sami will be dead shortly, he gives his word ... - Meanwhile, Lexie and Tony are outside the pub, as Lexie has summoned him. He wishes to know why. She replies she may have gotten the mayor killed! She tells him she gave Stefano an ultimatum which might have resulted in murder. Tony takes it all in, They sit down together. Did fatha admit to murder? Count Tony has his doubts, considering the stupidity of having the mayor shot in front of his home. The phoenix would not have done that despite the strange timing. But Lexie cannot shake her gut feeling. - At DiMera mansion, John comes across Nicole doubled over in pain. He fears she is having her baby! The pain soon subsides. She refuses to go to the hospital and insists to a concerned John that she is fine. He does not understand. She claims to be nervous about hospitals. John presses. Nicole does not want EJ to think she is going overboard again. And where is he anyway? She asks John not to tell anyone, especially EJ, about this little incident. He gives his word. - Elsewhere at the mansion, Stefano is still livid, on his cell phone. He blasts the person on the other end for letting such a thing happen on his doorstep and points out he pays him. Enter EJ, who thinks they need to talk. Stefano ends the conversation. EJ is angry about the murder and the stress it gave Nicole. The phoenix assures him he had nothing to do with it. EJ walks off to give Nicole her snack. John then saunters up to brother Stefano. His patience is thin. He knows Stefano ordered the hit on the mayor and warns him that if anything happens to Sami, he is gonna come after him! Exit John. Stefano looks solemn. - At the police station, Marlena asks for an answer about why Sami is spending so much time with her ex-husband and she would like the truth! Sami dances around the question. John soon enters Roman’s office, where Marlena and Sami are still talking. John offers his new place at the Salem Inn for her. She says no thanks as she is staying with Lucas. Exit Sami. Marlena informs John she just knows Sami is in trouble! John suggests she think positively. Marlena flies off the handle and admits Sami's secrecy frustrates her. She then apologizes for taking it out on him. John asks what she is up to, certainly not filing divorce papers, cos she would have clued him in. She admits she has not. Why not, John wonders. Marlena pauses. She does not know. Outside, Sami tries to call Lucas. He soon picks up. She orders him to come and get her. She will explain about the hitman later. Back at the cabin, Chloe is annoyed their love fest has been interrupted by Sami. Lucas jumps up and gets ready to pick her up from the station. - Abe comes out of the pub, where he has been with the media. Stefano watches from the shadows. Lexie nervously asks if they are asking questions about the murder. Abe confidently asks Lexie and Tony both to join him inside. He is in good spirits and has no idea what Lexie is now thinking. Stefano watches as the three enter. Back inside, the press does ask about Marino's murder. They also ask if it is true that Lexie's crime lord father supported the mayor? Abe retorts that Stefano has had nothing to do with his campaign! Afterwards, Tony tries to reassure Lexie. Abe wonders what they are talking about but must attend to something with his campaign. Tony again reassures Lexie, who is terrified that the killer might plan to off someone else, too! - Back at DiMera mansion, EJ feeds happy Nicole icecream. He says they want the same things and kisses her. Nicole brings up baby names but gets another cramp. EJ is worried. The pain passes. Nicole insists she is fine. She lies it was her leg with pins and needles. She wants to take Pookie for a walk. He wants her to rest. She wants him to come. He has to go to the office to get some things. She kisses him. He wants her to call him if there is any problem. Exit EJ. - Back at the cabin, Sami and Lucas return to Chloe. Sami is annoyed to hear that Chloe knows she is pregnant. Chloe is also annoyed and leaves to see a friend. Sami and Lucas start to bicker. She is mad Lucas shared her secret and starts to complain about seeing the mayor's killer. Meanwhile, said assassin lurks in the woods outside, a large gun in his hand as he prepares to take aim! Inside, Lucas reminds Sami she should tell Elvis the truth. The cabin door opens. Enter EJ. - Back at DiMera mansion, Chloe visits with Nicole. She is not sure about EJ. There is always Sami. Chloe announces to Nicole that there is something she needs to know about Sami ... - At the Horton cabin, concerned EJ wishes to speak with Samantha. He is not convinced she is alright. Meanwhile, the killer takes aim through the window, his weapon targeted on Sami, that is until EJ unknowingly steps into the line of fire ...! Tuesday October 21, 2008 KILLER CONVERSATIONS! - At the hospital, Nicole is in bed and EJ is impatient. Where is the doc? Nicole accuses him of being more concerned about Sami and wanting to get back to her. Enter Doc Lexie. Nicole says she tripped over the mayor, who was murdered outside DiMera mansion. Lexie is stunned. This is the first she has heard of it. Lexie recalls Stefano promising to make the mayor back down. She learns the hit was by an unknown assailant and nervously rushes off. - At the cafe, Chelsea cannot find her wallet. Dan steps up, Can he help? He pays for her latte, while on a coffee run for the hospital staff. He has a few minutes before his shift. Can they have coffee together? Chels replies she is meeting someone. Exit Dan. Chelsea walks up to Nick and wonders if she can ask him for a favour. Have dinner with her, as friends. Nick agrees. Chels suggests a sushi restaurant. Also at the cafe, Max sits with Mel, who pretends to be sorry she put him in a tough position with Steph. Max believes in her. Mel thanx him for keeping her secret. She just knows Stephanie would go to the cops if he had not kept her secret! Max gets quiet. He then admits he told Stephanie. Mel is in a panic. Steph knows about her struggling with Trent at the cemetery? Steph hates her, she laments. She is probably talking to Bo and Hope right now! Max claims Steph will never betray his trust. Mel is upset, stands up, and runs off. Nick sees. So does Chelsea, who goes to sit with Max. Are the cops closer to finding out who killed his father? Max says there are suspects. He does not like it when she mentions Mel as a suspect, though. - At the Brady pub, Steph announces to Bo and Hope that she thinks Melanie killed Trent! She confesses Max got the truth out of his sis and then told Steph, whom he swore to secrecy, so as to protect Mel. But that sister of his might now ruin his life by making him an accessory to murder! She proceeds to tell them everything Melanie confided in Max, including the struggle over the knife and how even though she blacked out, she may have killed Trent! Steph adds she is screwed up but devious and mean. Bo points out she did not admit to murder. Steph gets on her moral high horse and advises the somber cops to catch Melanie before she hurts someone else. Bo says they will have a chat with her. - Steph then goes to the cafe. Max would like to know where she has been. At the pub, talking to Bo and Hope. Exit Chelsea. Steph has a seat. Max wants to know what Stephanie has told Bo and Hope. Everything. They now know Melanie murdered Trent, says Steph. She has betrayed Max and he lets her know! He accuses her of hating Melanie.Now he cannot trust her and without trust, they do not have anything! Steph snivels as Max breaks up with her. Boohoo. Exit Max. - Meanwhile, Mel waltzes into the pub, only to have Bo and Hope start questioning her about what happened between her and Trent at the cemetery the night of his murder! Steph has filled them in on what she said to Max. Either she talk to them there or they will haul her into the station. Her choice. Mel states nothing happened. Steph is lying cos she hates her. Bo knows Mel is lying. Melanie denies everything and suggests they ask Max, who will back her up. There is no proof, only Stephanie's word over hers! She raises her voice some more and storms off. Bo and Hope don't buy her routine. - At DiMera mansion, Lexie confronts Stefano about the mayor's murder. What has he done?! The phoenix states he pulled his support, as he had said he would. Lexie stares at him. "You did it. didn’t you. You killed the mayor!" He is none too pleased with her yelling accusations. He has nothing to do with Marino's death She is insolent and ungrateful, yet what did he expect? He insists he did not have Marino offed. He shouts at her for her behaviour and claims he is being set up. He is always the obvious target and would not be so stupid as to have the man killed on his doorstep. Motive alone does not guarantee guilt. Lexie reluctantly agrees. The phoenix tells her not to worry. She is not responsible for what happened. He smiles she is like him, full of passion, and advises her to live in the moment. They hug. Stefano has been pondering his own life as he is closer to the end than the beginning. He invites her to stay for dinner. She must pick up Theo, however. Lexie quietly exits, her eyes still filled with doubt. - At the hospital, Dr. Dan attends to Nicole. She is worried about the baby due to her fall. He will check her out and asks EJ to wait outside. She admits she has twinges sometimes, but no abdominal pain. Nicole reiterates her baby is a miracle. She hopes nothing is wrong. Dan later has good news. Both she and baby seem to be in excellent health. Nicole repeats the baby is important to her. Friendly Dan suggests she take it easy. And he hears EJ is a great dad. He heads out to inform EJ Nicole is fine. He just wants her to relax. Stress is not generally bad. It is usually when something is wrong that miscarriages happen. EJ and Nicole return to DiMera mansion. He helps her get comfy on the sofa. He thinks she played up her symptoms from falling to get him away from Samantha. He assures her his concern was due to her witnessing the murder. He and Nicole have a future together. She means the world to him. They kiss. Nicole is elated. EJ goes to get food. All of a sudden she gets a severe cramp ... - Nick meets Melanie outside the pub. She wants them to go have a bite to eat together, after she goes to her room and gets changed. He decides on Chez Rouge and is about to call Maggie for a reservation. Chelsea happens by. Nick cancels their dinner date. Something came up. Chels realizes it is Mel and unhappily watches him walk away. Nick goes in the pub and makes the reservation on his cell. Mel comes downstairs and remembers Trent staggering away with the knife in his back. She blinks and joins Nick. They leave the pub together ... - Elsewhere in Salem, the phoenix is restless. Stefano secretly calls an unknown person on his cell and chastises the idiot for what they have done …! Monday October 20, 2008 DANGEROUS! - Replay of the mayor getting shot twice (of course the pistol had a silencer). The gunman checks for a pulse. Sami comes around the corner. The assassin aims at her. She screams. Inside, EJ and Nicole overhear! Sami swings her purse at the killer, sees her opening, and runs inside. Call 911! She sobs in EJ's arms. Nicole cannot believe her eyes that Sami has crashed their lovefest so brazenly! Sami calls her dad. The cops are on their way. She gasps about the murderer and dead body! Meanwhile, the assassin tries to get the front door open. He succeeds in getting it ajar! Sami, EJ, and Nicole continue their chaotic conversation. Nicole calls Sami a psycho as she does not believe her. She leaves in a huff after opening the now closed door, trips over the mayor's body outside the front door, and screams! They rush out. EJ helps Nicole to her feet and realizes it is the mayor. Roman and the cops arrive. They all go inside. Roman consoles Sami while EJ is with Nicole. The twins are still with Caroline. Sami gasps the gunman is gone. She is the sole witness. She tells Roman what happened. She was at the mansion as she came to tell EJ something. Nicole is suspicious. What did she come to tell EJ anyway? About Johnny's schedule, she lies. Roman heads off to deal with the scene of the crime. Nicole says maybe Sami did it and flounces off. Sami follows her outside, in a huff! - Steph is distracted and puts salt in her hot chocolate. The guy working at the cafe offers to change it. Is she ok? She is concerned about Max. - At the pub, Mel tells Max maybe she did kill their father. Enter Bo and Hope, who are suspicious they have interrupted something. Max and Mel cover up. She just had an incident with Steph. Bo and Hope give them the evil eye. They are there to see Caroline. Exit Max and Steph. Max wants her to go in through the back way with him. Meanwhile, Bo tells Hope how Max turned in Trent's wallet. Max knows he's gotta do the right thing. Hope reminds him of Mel's influence. Steph soon enters. Bo and Hope want to know why Max is being so secretive. Steph fibs she doesn't know anything for sure and nervously exits. - In Max’s room, he wants Mel to start talking. The truth. What happened the night of Trent's murder. Ok. She did see Trent at the cemetery before and after he died. She confronted him with a knife. She felt crazed and angry. He lunged, they struggled. They both reached for the fallen knife. That is all she remembers. When she woke up, her head was throbbing and Trent had the knife in his back! Max starts to leave to talk to Bo. Mel blames him for bringing her to Salem and lays a guilt trip on him. But what about Caroline, Max laments. He cannot sit on this info. Mel begs. If Caroline is in trouble for sure, then she will step up. Meantime, can Max help her? Steph arrives so Mel leaves, but not before telling Max she is trusting him with her life. Steph is worried. She asks Max to tell her what Mel said about that fateful night. Max is reluctant to betray Mel's confidence. Steph is in tears. She wants to help him. Max then tells her what Mel confessed to him.Steph says he must tell Bo and Hope. Mel should be questioned. Max disagrees. He will keep his sister's confidence and he expects Steph to do the same. She says ok. He loves her. She loves him, too. They hug. Stephanie is crying. - Mel goes down to the pub and approaches Bo and Hope's table She sits down and informs them she will come clean, though they are not going to like what she has to say! She has been disoriented in this new place and then she lost her father. They encourage her to continue. Mel says she is lucky to have Max as a brother. Hope asks what she wanted to tell them. Mel the actress says she never put Trent's wallet in Stephanie's purse as some have suggested. She would not hurt her brother's girlfriend. She wonders if the cops only found Steph and Max's prints on that wallet. Bo and Hope don't answer. Mel advises them to focus perhaps more on a suspect who is closer to home. Bo wants to know if she means Max. No, Mel insists! She mentions some people have other sides. There are some things she has yet to learn, but his gal pal Stephanie - there is something about her. She acts nice, although she is passive-aggressive and a different kind of animal. Bo and Hope look very doubtful. Bo asks what she means that Steph is a different kind of animal. Mel hopes they will take a long, hard look at her and bring her father's killer to justice! Exit Mel. Bo sighs. - At the police station, Roman goes to talk with EJ. Sami is in his office on the phone. She leaves a message for Caroline. Her cell then rings. The clinic asks about her next appointment. She will make the appointment with Doc Sanders later. Nicole is standing at the door, which she opened after the guarding officer stepped away. Why does Sami have to see Dr. Sanders, she wonders aloud and shuts the door. It is the twins' doc, Sam lies. Nicole says she probably needs a shrink. Sami tells her to leave. Nicole insists they talk. Her baby will be the baby bro or sis of Johnny and she is gonna set some ground rules! She wants Johnny and her kid to be close, like for family holidays with her and EJ. No way, says Sami. She throws in that all Nicole cares about is money! She brings up Trent. If he were alive, he would tell EJ what she was like. Nicole points out the paternity test proves it is EJ's child and snaps that bastard Trent is never coming back! They bicker. Enter Roman and EJ, who states the DiMeras had nothing to do with the mayor's hit. Nicole boasts that she and EJ were together at the time and Sami even saw! Roman asks them to leave so he can ask Sami some questions. Sami repeats what happened and how she got away, then entering the house. Roman asks if she remembers the killer's face. She will never forget it! The police artist soon arrives, ready to do a composite. He works with Sami, who tells Roman she could easily pick the killer out of a lineup. Outside the door, Nicole is annoyed with EJ as he appears to be more interested in Sami through the office window than her! He feels he should tell Sami he is leaving. Nicole asks why. Why is being with Sami more important than her and their baby? EJ is sorry. Their baby comes first. He leaves with Nicole. - Mel sits on her bed at home, making her final party girl webcast. She was forced to do lots of thinking about life, family, who you can trust. She is in tears about her hard lessons but she will be fine. She signs off for the last time and blows a kiss into the camera. - Meanwhile, at the pub, Stephanie slowly approaches Bo and Hope. There is something she wants them to know about Melanie ... - Elsewhere in Salem, the mayor's killer places a call on his cell from a seedy room, while holding a very big gun. He ominously informs the person on the other end of the line that he knows who saw him. Sami Brady and he is going to get rid of her tonight ...! |
