Seeing her makes him happy it does. They sit on a bench and she hears how he married Roman and Kate after Ro proposed. Of course Roman had to convince Kate. They seemed so happy. They agree tis a beautiful thing. Nicole mentions destiny. Eric notes tis there for ... some couples ... Kristen gets catty with Chloe and accuses her of ruining everything for Rachel. Chloe offers to convince Brady to some visitation. Kristen leers she is out of their lives. Unaware Chloe blasts her for the lunchbox notes ... John warns Brady this vial must be a taunt from Orpheus. Jada updates him on the note saying it would save the women as it was extracted from the same orchid. Brady believes tis the answer to their prayers. John wonders why he thinks so. Brady remembers Kristen boasting she had Rolf's secret orchid and the serum. He begs his dad not to destroy it and Jada agrees just in case. John has a change of heart but still has concenrs it could be a hoax. Rex arrives with Shawn and suggests he analyze it in advance. John drawls to do it and goes to see doc with Shawn. Brady anxiously waits for Rex's results ... - Nicole stops Eric from going and tells him how it kills her to see him and his family suffer. She wants to support him in his time of need for they are friends. Always. She asks to accompany him to the hospital. Eric gratefully agrees and they share a warm embrace that Rafe observes as he comes around the corner ... Jada wonders whether Brady knows something about the author of the unexpected note. He plays innocent but flashes back to Kristen swearing him to silence or else. He acts like he is just hoping and heads to the lab. Jada senses something ... Kristen denies penning the notorious lunchbox note and accuses Chloe of turning the judge against her. She does not deny it ... John and Shawn update Belle on the note with the vial. Marlena wakes up and asks Shawn to look after Belle. John refuses to give up hope and tells honey to hold on. He kisses tink on her unhappy blonde head ... Nicole stammers she just ran into Eric. Rafe updates him on the vial and note. Grateful Eric races off to the hospital. Rafe does not hide his fury he found Nicole in her ex's arms yet again ... Chloe boasts about showing the judge her recording of Kristen's letter opener attack. Brady loved it cos now he has Rachel. Kristen warns her daughter hates her and Brady will never be able to live with that so she should set him free. Chloe is confident she has won ... Kristen too ... - Rex informs Brady tis a close match so Brady suggests they get started stat ... Now at the hospital Eric calls Jada a hero. She just hopes the serum works. He asks her to tell Roman the latest so he gets Kate here fast if it works ... Nicole innocently insists she and Eric are friends only. She was hugging him for he fears his mother is dying. He needed her. Rafe accuses her of making up excuses to have contact with her ex. He jealously reminds her HE is hubby now unless she forgot. She takes his hand and tries to reassure him. He recalls she was in a hurry to wed and wonders whether t'was a mistake ... Kristen does not buy Chloe will be able to keep Brady. Chloe recounts how he refused to let her win. Kristen quietly remembers their deal. The orchid to save Marlena in return for him dumping Chloe and reconciling with her. She now warns Chloe he will end it with her ... Rex gives the gang a 95 percent chance this serum is safe and effective. John worries it could be toxic. Tired courageous Marlena wants to try ... Stylish Kristen ominously suggests the situation is not possible for Chloe. Marlena needs a miracle and she slyly suggests she go be with Brady while they wait for one. Chloe departs and Kristen cackles about her bad news ... Marlena is lucid as she offers herself to test the serum for the others. John drawls to Rex to do as she asks. Before the gang must go she asks Eric to administer last rites if she does not survive. She asks John to stay and he cuddles the great love of his life ... Nicole denies marrying Rafe to forget Eric and reminds him how they fell when he was with Ava. She assures hubby she loves him but he is upset about her hiring her ex without asking him. He suggests she was trying to relive their past so she points out she is a model no more. He yells he does not want Eric working with his wife as Jada appears. She steps back as the bickering continues. Rafe admits he does not trust Nicole working with Eric and storms off ... Brady hopes Kristen's serum story was true. Chloe joins him and he updates her on a possible cure. She wonders where it was from. Brady takes a call from Paul, he says, but tis really Kristen.
