Wendy pays Gabi a visit and updates her on brother Li refusing to hire her at DiMera HQ. Alas Gabi cannot help as she is no longer CEO ... At DIMera suited EJ smugly tosses Gabi's name plate in the trash. Li is annoyed. EJ talks tough and pulls rank. He warns he knows what he did to his brotha. Enter Stefan, who peers at the odd biz couple ... Tripp is stunned to hear his mom never wed Jake. Johnny updates him on Ava agreeing to leave forever in return for EJ not pressing charges. Tripp is rattled. Johnny is sympathetic and states he and Ava ended up getting close after she moved into the mansion. Cowboy Tripp says how close ... Wendy is sorry to hear Gabi was deposed and suspicious to hear Li is EJ's new number two ... EJ explains why he kept Li and promises to appoint Stefan co-CEO when possible. He makes Li agree ... Gwen dreams of Xander appearing at her hospital bed with a beautiful bouquet and a declaration of endless love. She loooves him and they kiss. When Jack arrives with a pink and white bouquet Gwen is hugging her pillow. She wakes up ... Xander kisses his beautiful Sarah at the Kiriakis mansion and greets mama Maggie too. Sarah had a long hard night. He just spoke to Uncle Vic about moving back ... Johnny tells Tripp he and Ava were there for one another. He babbles EJ did find them in bed so Tripp slugs his handsome face ... Wendy is surprised to hear that EJ appointed Li instead of Stefan as his right hand. Gabi explains the board had issues with Stefan's state of mind. Wendy assumes she is glad he did not die. Stylish Gabi sighs he hates her and she suspects Dr. Rolf. She tells curious Wendy that Rolf always works for a bigger purpose ... EJ swears Li to secrecy given Gabi could create conflict and goes on to suggest he dump the hellcat. The insults fly. Stefan suddenly snaps to stop ... - Hothead Tripp apologizes. Johnny gets why he snapped when he assumed he slept with his mother and gets why he is anti EJ. He agrees she got a raw deal but knows not Ava's whereabouts ... Wendy woefully wishes Gabi had stayed CEO. Gabi would have enjoyed working together. Wendy is glad at least she will be her sis in law and asks when she and Li tie the knot. Soon. Before she leaves she lets Gabi knows she deserves better ... EJ innocently states he assumed Stefan hated Gabi. Stefan suggests tis uncivilized to insult a man's fiancée to his face. He excuses himself. EJ was testing his feelings for Gabi and suggests they send him back to Rolf for fine tuning. Li gets annoyed at EJ's disrespect for his fiancée. EJ gets in his face and wonders wot he will do about it. Dramatic drums play as the fellas face off ... Jack came to get Gwen for she is being released. She thanks him for the flowers but feels silly about being seen cozying up to a pillow in her reverie. He assumes Xander played the part of the pillow in her dream. She sighs she knows he and Sarah are wed but he was so caring after her accident ... Xander sighs to surprised Maggie he had too much debt at the Salem Inn. Sarah admits she is not full time at the hospital yet. Xander wants to work for Jack but last time they spoke he seemed a tad distracted. He stops and remembers Jack admitting Jen was likely the one who hit Gwen. But he does not say so. He simply suggests Jack was distracted by Gwen's unfortunate accident ... Jack agrees Xander was concerned and cares but ... Gwen sighs he wants to be with Sarah. She doubts she even deserves to be happy. Jack gives her a pep talk about a brighter future and invites her to move into Horton house ... - At the square Wendy listens to Johnny's message to call him about an important matter. She now sees him and admits she too has something ... EJ dares Li to defend Gabi and gets in his face until cowboy Tripp bursts in and blasts him for what he did to Ava. EJ accuses her of deceit and jumping in the sack with his son. Tripp already heard that from johnny. EJ wants to know how he reacted so Tripp hits him in the face too ... Knock knock! Gabi is astounded when a very serious Stefan shows up at her door ... EJ threatens to have Tripp arrested so Li defends him as a good guy and argues it would be bad publicity. EJ kicks him out and utters a threat. Tripp thanks winking Li as he leaves ... Wendy and Johnny share intel. They now know Gabi suspects Rolf brainwashed Stefan. Johnny concludes EJ and Li could have been in cahoots ... Gabi accuses Stefan of coming to gloat. Stefan calmly states he came for another reason ... EJ looks at the man in the mirror as blood runs from his nose. Li admits he and sis are at odds since he did not give her a promotion. EJ could use a good coder and suggests he find and promote her after all ... Wendy wonders how to find Rolf. Li's account is too protected. Johnny offers to get into EJ's account. Since his accident he has been mindful to write down important passwords. He will be in touch ... Seconds later Tripp comes by the table and happily hugs Wendy ... Gabi wonders why Stefan came by. He pauses and hands her divorce papers to end their mess of a marriage. Gabi sees he has not signed and wonders why the wait. She hands them back and dares him to sign on the dotted line first ... - Xander approaches Jack at the nurse's station and asks him to hire him at the paper. Jack gulps ... Tripp complains about his mom vanishing, unaware that at that very moment disguised Ava is in Gwen's room seeking her assistance ... Johnny starts to search EJ's desk for his secret password when all of a sudden EJ interrupts. He asks wot he was doing ... Stefan pauses, pen in hand and Gabi wonders why the wait.
