Suited Jack talks timing. Xander the man of scandals feels sorry for himself to the point of pouring himself a hospital coffee. Jack admits his reason for not being able to hire him is Gwen ... Ava admits EJ banished her. Gwen worriedly wonders wot she did to anger the DiMera ... EJ starts to yell so smart Johnny announces he is here to apologize. He has seen the light that EJ was right about Ava the scammer. He feels like a fool. EJ deduces he did care. Johnny complains she only used him to get to EJ, who was totally right. EJ looks pleased ... - Ava blames Gabi for the marriage lie that blew up and argues she and Jake would have wed anyway. Gwen recognizes the ring that Xander once gave her ... Jack admits he offered Gwen a job at the paper. Xander knows there are more positions but papa Jack cannot risk them clashing ... Wendy hears Tripp's story about Li saving him from the wrath of EJ since he and Joey helped Wendy in Hong Kong. Wendy knows her brother cares but wishes he would take her seriously. Perhaps she should conform. Tripp likes her just the amazing way she is. She wishes her brother would hire her ... Li suggests he be the witness for Stefan and Gabi's divorce signatures. Stefan goes first and makes a snide remark about being rid of Gabi. She stares as he hands it to her to sign ... When Jack mentions the late nights of the paper employees Xander insists he loves only Sarah. Jack sighs but Gwen still cares for him ... Meanwhile Ava senses Gwen still cares for Xander so Gwen changes the subject to Ava getting approached by Gabi to get Jake's shares. Ava adds now Gabi is out and has her own probs ... Gabi declares heartless Stefan is dead and signs. She glares at him as Li also signs. Stefan and Gabi exchange words. He will file the papers to ensure their marriage is done for good. Gabi pouts ... - Wendy would prefer a promotion in Salem to staying in Alaska but brother Li is old fashioned. Tripp tries to make her feel better and smiles she read he saved another damsel in distress. She finds his heroism attractive and takes a look at the hand that hit not one but two DiMeras on the same day. Here comes Joey ... EJ does not entirely buy Johnny's about face with Ava and wonders whether he is the one presently being played ... Joey greets Wendy with a twirl and a hug. He hears she wants a job in Salem and knows not where to stay. Joey suggests she stay with them ... Xander asks Jack if Gwen admitted to feelings for him. Jack stammers it was just the impression he had. Xander would never lead the girl on. Jack states he must his support his daughter and help her avoid making the same mistakes. Meanwhile Ava urges Gwen to help her exact revenge on arrogant EJ. She suggests she sidle up to him. Gwen gasps she cannot so Ava reminds her she owes her. Gwen gives her a no. Ava implores her old pal ... Johnny quotes EJ stating he belonged at DiMera and claims he now understands the meaning of loyalty, legacy and what he wants. He wants to help with the family biz, wonders what kind of work they are doing now and looks at his computer. He casually states tis locked and asks dad for his present password. Johnny is smooooooother than a smoothie ... - Tripp quips they live in Seattle now. Wendy is amused. Joey suggests they stay and help Kayla a while. He suggests one of them bunk with Steph in the two bedroom they are sharing and the other bunk with Wendy, who wants to get her own place. The bucks bicker. She gives them both a kiss and sends them on her their way so she can return to her work. But she loved the attention ... Xander assures Jack no hard feelings and they guy hug. Jack offers him a loan but Xander sighs he will think of something and walks away ... Gwen is on a mission to recover from her accident and make papa Jack proud. He invited her to stay at Horton house and got her a position at the paper. She refuses to risk it for her friend's scheme against EJ but hopes she will make him pay ... EJ closes his computer and suggests Johnny is more artist than desk rat. He sends his son on his way, putting his hands possessively on his laptop as he ponders ... Johnny joins Wendy and complains EJ caught him at his desk but insists he suspected nada ... Paranoid EJ is on the phone ordering extra security for devices and all communications at DiMera. They are not without enemies and one cannot be too careful ... Li acts sympathetic about Gabi signing divorce papers. She wonders why he is not with EJ. He reminds her he is just waiting to make his move so the company will theirs to be ruled together. She teases she likes to be on top and they passionately kiss ... Jack is ready to escort Gwen home. She emotionally thanks dad for believing in her and vows not to let him down. She wants to be a better woman to make him proud ... Ava wonders who could help her and then hears Xander on the phone with the Salem Inn about his huge bill. He gets threatened with legal action and sighs he will get the money somehow. Ava digests the intel as he steps in the elevator. Now she knows who will help her ... - After the lovin Gabi informs Li that Wendy was hoping she would hire her. Alas she cannot cos she was deposed but the girl is great. Li agrees to think about it. She teases not to be intimidated by strong powerful women ... At the pub beer drinking Tripp and Joey disagree on who mixed martial arts fan Wendy would choose if they lived in Salem and toast to her choice ... Wendy is elated when Li texts her the job offer of her dreams and promises proud Johnny she will continue searching for the truth about Stefan and Dr. Rolf ...
