Kayla agrees as she has a part time opening, is sorry for her stress, and warmly welcomes her fellow medicine woman back ... - Teresa tells Alex to ignore Xander and claims she asked Alex out before anyone knew he was Victor's son. Xander suggests she saw the will first and warns Alex to watch the wildcat who once wrongly accused him of assault. He urges Alex to guard his fortune with his life. Alex suddenly looks serious ... Maggie is much moved by the portrait. Smooth operator Konstantin acts humble ... Steve suggests Steph is committed to Chad and dreaming of a wedding. If he cannot give her that then he should end things for the sake of his kids too. Count Chad looks sad. Steph walks up and senses something. Marlena is ready to go so Steve gallantly walks her out Then he drops by to see Sweetness and admits he may have overstepped ... Chad asks for a word with Stephanie, so Kate takes the kids to check out Roman's old movies ... Steph is worried. Chad asks her if she meant it when she said she did not want to wed ... - Alex stands up and suggests Xander leave so they can enjoy their lunch. Xander shrugs tis his funeral and then runs into Sarah. He suggests they talk and seems to have softened but she does not notice, refuses and snaps she will see him in court ... Anxious Teresa agrees with Alex that Xander is just jealous ... Konstantin the charmer has hung Victor's portrait over the fireplace. Maggie gets emotional and scurries off to fix her makeup.
