EJ spies the bear and probes. She assures him she does not have Rafe on her mind. He talks moving on starting tonight ... Pretty Lani pretends she has an important matter to talk to Paulina about. She pretends to be planning a surprise trip at Christmas for Eli. Glam Paulina would love to look after the babies. Lani asks her opinion on travel destinations while they sip their wine. Paulina talks Greek islands and Tuscany. Lani suggests a city so Paulina brings up Paris. Lani remembers they never went ... Abe asks Chanel how she would feel about him becoming stepdad. She believes he will make her mom happy. She admits she forgets what it was like to have a father but feels he will be a swell stepdad. Abe will be honored to be her stepdad and she gives her blessing. Family hug! ... Kayla informs John that the call button in Doug's room was activated. They are on their way ... Doug weakly stands up and struggles to take the tray away from Mardevil. Here come Kayla and John, who want doc to explain ... Rafe fibs he had work on his mind. Ava quips Gabi took over the kitchen and flirts she wants to buy him a Brady pub dinner ... EJ boasts to Nicole he has removed all traces of Sami from his home and tells her to do the same with all that reminds her of Rafe, starting with Duke ... - Chanel asks about the menu. Abe found out Paulina's fav recipes by calling big mama in Florida. Lani is keeping Paulina away with shopping. Chanel hears pecan pie has been prepared and points out Paulina hates it ... Glamorous Paulina gives Lani another heartfelt apology about Paris. Perhaps tis time to talk ... John helps Doug back to bed as Kayla helps Julie sit up. Merdevil insists Doug hit Julie on the head ... Chanel explains mama loves key lime. Tis Tamara whose fav is pecan. She suggests they make it together. Grateful Abe starts to contact Lani just as Paulina announces she wants to clear the air. So many letters with promises Paulina did not keep. She blames mama for making her lie. Lani softly wonders why she never took her to Paris ... Nicole changes the subject to dinner. EJ gallantly helps her with her coat. She fibs she forgot her phone, doubles back and fishes Duke from the trash, where EJ had dropped him ... Mardevil tells the gang she grabbed the tray away after Doug attacked Julie. Doug denies it and wants her away from his wife. Julie sits up and Kayla hears the story from Marlena again. Julie does not buy it ... John gives his wife a very strange stare. Doug protests he knows who Marlena is but Kayla agrees with her suggestion to sedate him ... At Julie's Place EJ inhales his expensive red wine and toasts Nicole to moving on. He suggests chateau Briand for two. No beer here ... Rafe suggests he and Ava dine together at Julie's Place tonight. They hug and kiss ... Paulina sighs she was wrong to try and cut Lani’s mother out of their Paris plans. Abe is impressed by Chanel's baking and realizes he is not ready. Chanel steps up to set the table and asks to witness the wonderful moment ... EJ and Nicole soon realize Ava and Rafe have arrived. She smiles ... Julie denies Doug would ever do her harm, not to mention he is now too weak. Kayla tells her how she and Tripp experienced his strength. Besides no one else was present. Julie points out Marlena was ... Outside the room Marlena feigns sadness to John, who grills her about going to Doug's room. Did the recording make her remember anything? She fibs she found out Doug threatened to off his wife ... EJ and Ava exchange sarcastic pleasantries. Rafe assumes Nicole and EJ are on a biz dinner but EJ calls it pure pleasure ... Paulina comes home to dapper Abe and a romantic dinner waiting with all her faves. Chanel waits with bated breath. Paulina tells him she hates key lime pie ... John holds doc and informs her Doug told him something troubling - that she attempted to off him. Mardevil declares Doug is trying to off Julie. Here come Kayla and Julie, who tells Marlena she was wrong. No way would darling attack her ... From his bed Doug begs God to protect his beloved Julie from HIM ...
