At the Salem Inn, Xander wonders about the status of his and Gwen's relationship ... Vic wants Brady to agree to his deal to remove Chloe from Phil's world. Chloe steps up and Brady says tis not how it sounds ... Ava forewarns Phil that Gabi and Jake are plotting a power play coup against him ... Stylish Gabi and Jake arrive to move back into the mansion. Chad stands by his wife and declares over his dead body ... Rafe brings up Sami. EJ is not referring to Samantha but the big bucks from Bonnie's case. Rafe smoothly states his name was not mentioned. EJ the lawyer lets him know they were his legal feels from client Xander. Rafe smells a judge bribe and tells him the D.A. is holding onto the cash until the case is over ... Gwen giggles about Jack seeking Xander's intentions with his daughter. Xander points out papa is protective. Gwen praises both mighty men for helping her. Xander was noble. Gwen gently touches his face, grateful. He wonders how she feels about him ... Gabi rages this is her mansion and orders Chad and Abigail out right now! - EJ accuses Rafe of making it personal. Rafe points out t'was Trask's decision to hold onto the dirty money and wonders why he cares for so small a sum in his wealthy world. EJ cannot allow cheata Samantha to have used his money to pay a fellow cheata. Rafe suggests he get his revenge in another manner and dismisses the DiMera. Then he considers ... Gwen is touched Xander cares about her feelings. He suavely states he must know them in order to reply to papa Jack. She admits she lost herself in Dickens, then men and partying to forget the pain of her lonely life. Xander has been there. He learns her longest romance was with Jake and it stung catching him with Gabi. He can relate to her tragic tale of trying to live a heartless life ... Vic insists he and Brady were both discussing how to deal with Chloe. Brady denies it. Vic reminds Brady he claimed Chloe was affecting Philip's judgment. Chloe snaps he seems to believe she is good enough for Brady so he makes a snide remark about Kristen setting his grandson's bar low ... Ava only overheard part of the convo. Phil thanks her. Ava now has a secret wish of her own to add ... Gabi and Jake talk change. Abigail appeals to her as a mother not to make her kids leave their home. Gabi agrees Abigail and offspring are welcome, just not Chad! - Xander reveals to Gwen he has only loved one woman in his life. He sighs Sarah seemed so sure but then chose someone else. Gwen quips t'was the cheating fickle docta who was just like her. Xander teases he is touched she hates her on his behalf. Gwen perceives his pain and argues feelings wreak havoc. Perhaps they should call it quits. He states that would be smartest. Their faces get closer and she whispers she does not want to go. Then they kiss like a couple in love ... Victor leaves. Chloe is furious. Brady assures her that nothing was his idea. She wonders why he came to see Victor. To warn him Phil was losing his focus at work. Chloe concludes he was after Philip's job and does not approve ... Ava alludes to wanting a good job at Titan. Phil asks about Julie's Place. She complains Doug called and cussed her. Phil implies she wants to work in criminal collections and cackles. She is serious but he knows Victor would not approve. She argues he will have to fire Gabi and Jake soon. Alas Phil cannot let Gabi go cos she would take Gabi Chic with her. He will look into it. Here comes Rafe, who wonders what Philip Kiriakis is doing in his cozy kitchen ... - Abigail argues for Chad. Gabi and Jake argue they are not even close anymore. Chad quietly agrees to do as asked but warns he will be back ... Phil suggests Rafe talk to Ava and takes his leave. Ava admits she wanted a job at Titan and Phil was close by. Rafe is suspicious given their money laundering history ... Elegant Brady explains how Gabi and Jake warned him of Phil floundering. Chloe believes he just wanted to break up her and Philip. Brady does not exactly deny it ... After the lovin Xander and Gwen snuggle. He asks about feelings. She admits they are there. Now nothing can come between them. He sighs he might end up in the slammer ... The EJ comes home. Gabi exclaims she kicked Chad out and now it is his turn! He has a good laugh. She tells him to go. EJ holds up a deed and declares DiMera mansion now belongs to HIM! - Brady wonders whether Chloe will tell Phil about this. She will not. She reveals that she and Phil have planted a sapling for carving their initials again one day. Brady doubts they will last. She wishes he would not be so hard on him for Brady is no saint! She calls him arrogant, a mini-Victor in the making. Brady hates how Philip treats her. Speak of the devil! Phil greets him and asks the purpose of his visit ... Ava feels she and Philip have changed. Now she updates Rafe on Jake and Gabi being gone ... Chad grabs the deed and then Gabi grabs it. EJ smoothly states the mansion is now his. Chad gasps he bought the bank?! EJ politely asks Abigail to help Chad unpack the bag and decides only Jake and Gabi must get the hell out ... Phil is quite chipper about Brady meeting with Vic, who has been down with Maggie away. He invites him to stay for dinner ... Gabi tries to state her case. Jake downs his drink and ushers her out. EJ quips to give brotha Rafe his best and has the last laugh ... Rafe assumes Gabi moved out of her own accord. He suddenly gets summoned on a police matter ... Gwen believes she and Jack could testify on Xander's behalf and reminds him EJ already had the judge drop the charges. Xander muses he might have changed his mind and alludes to their brawl. Gwen believes he let the other guy believe he had won. She suggests she kiss him again to make everything betta ... Phil possessively holds Chloe and apologizes for accusing Brady of spying. He now knows the keylogger culprit was not him. Time to tell cook to place another plate for the prodigal son with big ideas ... Ava is unhappily surprised when Jake and Gabi return to Rafe’s for good and grab the tamales ... Abigail thanks EJ. Chad sarcastically thanks him for going behind his back. Abigail intervenes and asks him to unpack and go get the kids for dinner. Dutiful Chad does just that. Abigail appreciates EJ’s last minute surprise. When she asks him to join them for their family meal he heads upstairs to await a key call. He leers those who try to steal from him live to regret it ... Xander gets his shirt on as Gwen assures him EJ will do nothing as they await room service. Knock knock! He opens the door to Rafe, who has come to arrest him as the charges have been officially reinstated. The commiss cuffs him and reads him his rights as Gwen watches the end of her happily ever after.
