Stylish Nicole talks sordid history but EJ talks redemption and invites her out for dinner tonight. Brady appears with Chloe and hopes her answer is no. He worries Nicole would wind up in danger. EJ accuses Brady of wanting Nicole when she wound up choosing him. Chloe pouts ... As they sip their tea Jack assures Abigail that Xander is innocent. He is grateful the guy took the heat for Gwen. Abigail hears they have become an item and scoffs ... Xander suggests Gwen stay clean. She offers to hire Jake, who used to be in the mob ... Gabi and Jake sit with their coffees at the square as she updates him on Ava hoodwinking Rafe. She now asks the ex man of the mob whether he could contact a hitman to handle her ... Ava argues Gabi is still Rafe’s sis. Phil suggests she spy. She gets down to biz and asks what she would get ... Brady suspiciously states EJ is still married to Sami. He quips not for long. Chloe grows impatient as Brady urges Nicole not to even consider EJ. EJ quips Kristen was right to suspect he was after Chloe and notes now there is nothing to keep them apart ... Ava has an idea. Brady loved Kristen but could not forgive her for wanting to harm ... EJ concludes Chloe. He goes on to warn that Kristen in the slammer imagining Brady with Chloe would not be wise. Chloe stops him and states she is with Philip. EJ seems relieved but warns not to share any corporate secrets ... Ava refuses to play until Phil pays up ... Jake whispers he was no hitman. Gabi wants to know what he did. He made money for the Vitalis, who were collecting small business protection money. He was the ENFORCER. Gabi sighs he hurt people who did not pay and deduces he stole the account numbers from the family so they would let him out. He sighs then Gwen stole them ... Gwen teases the judge would not be able to resist her charms in exchange for dismissing Xander’s case ... Jack has just told Abigail the story that Gwen told him about Snyder knowing her secret. She has her doubts ... Gwen and Xander share a cute kiss after she calls him her boyfriend. He cannot wait to get out and go to bed but as her boyfriend refuses to let her throw herself at the dastardly judge! She denies anything would happen and reveals her plan to record their conversation. Xander still doesn't like it ... - Abigail informs Jack she visited Gwen to apologize. Alas they can never be close given she went after her marriage. Still, the girl did not deserve to lose her baby. Gwen forgave her but how to forgive herself ... Ava suggests a job at a Titan subsidiary where Victor would not even know she was there. Put her in charge of Gabi Chic and rebrand it to Ava Chic. Phil laughs out loud ... Nicole insists Brady knows Chloe would never share corporate secrets. Chloe likes her job and tells EJ she felt valued until now. EJ makes nice and Chloe and Brady leave. He argues the little exchange should not prevent himself and Nicole from having a pleasant evening together ... Jake admits the mob could still come after him if they thought he was useful. He eventually agrees to Ava Chic and they shake hands ... - Nicole feels tis too early to date but EJ the lawyer suggests she move on by spending time with him. She suspects he wants to make Sami jealous ... Back at DiMera mansion dad Jack tells Abigail not to dwell on the past imperfect. He has been there but the family always forgave him. He suggests his tormented daughter forgive herself and Gwen should forgive herself too ... Gwen gets miffed. Xander worries about the danger. She emotionally lists all he has done for her, risks be damned. Tis her turn now ... Abigail finds it strange that Gwen agreed to commit worse crimes rather than come clean about her past ... Gwen refuses to let her guy Xander go to the slammer ... Phil watches while Ava calls cousin Angelo and leaves a message asking for info on Jake Lambert now known as DiMera ... Jake is relieved when Gabi agrees to forget about this past and just appreciate what they have now. She suggests they head to her house to strategize against Phil. He argues Ava is there. She cares not and he gives her a heartfelt embrace ... EJ wonders why Nicole cares about Samantha. She refuses to be a pawn in his revenge game but he smoothly states after what Samantha pulled she should sock it to her ... Xander admits to Gwen he assumed his happiness was over forever after Sarah. She gushes they belong together as the two town pariahs. He states she makes sense and she smiles they will get what they need on the judge and tell EJ to go to hell ... Nicole doubts Sami would know they dined together but EJ assures her she will indeed! Chloe and Brady return. EJ slyly suggests Chloe and Phil double date with them one day. He goes and Brady sighs to Nicole he tried to warn her ...
