Maggie is exasperated and laments after she dropped the bombshell on Melanie, she became sick enough to leave work. Julie appears remorseful. Nick is escorted into the room and Maggie and Julie explain what happened. He realizes Mel is upset and glumly looks down. - Sami whispers for Lucas to calm down. He will indeed. While she was gone, he finally understood she wants what she cannot have and then wants someone else. The same thing will happen to EJ and then who will be the next victim after that?! Sami stares. - At the pub. Rafe, Dan and Nicole discuss the situation with EJ. He will be out of prison soon. Nicole appreciates their help. They assure her EJ will not find out it is his baby. Rafe promises they will talk later and perhaps then she can answer his million dollar question. Exit busy Rafe. Dan wonders about the question. Nicole mutters it was something she just figured out and thanks him again for saving her baby. He is glad. She announces she has something else to share. She feels more than just gratitude. Dan peers back at her from across the table. - Chad does not wish to pressure Mel. However, it troubles him that she keeps shutting down. She would rather forget the past but he reasons the past might be influencing her present. That makes it important. Mel cries she was not a very nice person when she first came to Salem. She used Nick and sobs it is over. Chad agrees they will not discuss it further, if she would rather not. However, he is here if she needs him. She loves that about him and sniffles she does not need to relive the nightmare. All she needs is him. They hug. She clings to him again. - Nick sits down and gets intense. What happened? Julie and Maggie downplay it but he already knows Mel was recently kidnapped. Hope was here and updated him.Julie promises the family will bring him home. - Sami quietly accuses Lucas of cheap psychology, which she hates. He accuses her of hating the truth - something that will never change. He warns no man will love her forever if she behave like this and adds she can dream on. He walks away from her, over to Ally’s table. Sami is at a loss for words. - Rafe finds Sami’s scarf at the town square café and flashes back to holding her wrist in the DiMera safe house, his eyes filled with longing. He smiles and stands up. Hope approaches and teases she loves the polka dot print. He explains the scarf is Sami’s. Hope informs him she is at the coffee house, in case he wants to return it to her himself. Insecure Rafe murmurs he does not ... - Back at the pub, Nicole announces her life changed after Dan saved her baby. She is seeing things clearly. He assures her that she will be a wonderful mother. She is not yet finished. She cares about him and wants to be more than just friends. "I want us to be together," she dramatically declares, holding his hands over the table. Dan pauses ... END |
