He has closed the door, trashes Stefano, and assures her she now has him. - Lucas wishes EJ had died! EJ wonders if he really wants to revisit that shooting. Lucas lunges but Roman holds him back. Roman takes Lucas and Sami out of the room and calls after EJ to stay here in case they need him. Spencer coldly states they shall have the test results on the gloves by the end of the day. Rafe leaves with a smirk and closes the door behind himself. EJ stands alone and stares numbly into space. - Bo explains he will need a search warrant as it is possible Mel was moved. Hope adds they must do this by the book. Nicole takes Dan by the hand and leads him out for fresh air. Chad refuses to budge. He states his case to Hope, that he fears the worst, as the psycho has not made any demand for ransom. What if he is torturing her! Hope is very sympathetic and urges him to remain calm and optimistic. Outside, Dan exclaims he should have known something was wrong with his daughter. If anything happens to her … Nicole hopes she will be found safe and sound, but she cannot tell him it will all be fine, for she does not even know. Dan appreciates her honesty, as that is how he feels too. Nicole points out his Melanie is a survivor. She is here for him if he wants her around. He can tell her anything. Dan agrees that is something. He emotionally thanks her for being here and being her. She puts her hand on his heart. He holds it there. Inside the dingy room, Gabi listens as Chad tells Hope how much Mel means to him, how he will make anyone who harms his beloved regret they had ever been born! Her eyes are filled with dread … - Roman advises Lucas to steer clear of EJ. Lucas is still hot under the collar. Roman decides Lucas ought to come with them to cool off for a spell. He agrees. Sami wants to stay. As soon as Roman, Lucas, ISA Spencer, and Rafe have gotten in the elevator, she knocks on EJ’s door. He is sitting in a leather armchair, drowning his sorrows. He slowly opens the door to her and she shrugs her shoulders with an uncertain smile. “It’s just me!” He wonders WOT she wants. She wants to know if those really were his gloves. “Were you wearing them when Stefano was killed?” EJ sighs if the police prove they are his gloves and they test positive for gunshot residue, the cops will have yet another piece of circumstantial evidence. She presses him if it is true. EJ pauses. “That would be a yes on both counts.” Sami sighs in dismay. He elaborates. “The gloves are mine and I did, I fired a gun when I was wearing them.” However, he did not kill his fatha and solemnly swears this on Johnny and Sydney’s lives. Sami takes it all in. She is admittedly confused. Why did he not get rid of the gloves? He did but then someone must have found them and hidden them here! - At the office, Kate reads a document and informs Ian that Madison is accompanying Brady to rehab. Is he surprised? Ian drawls she has a low tolerance for the weaknesses of others, just like him. - At the station, Lucas would like to get a cup of coffee and make some business calls. Roman advises him to stay in the building. Exit Lucas. Roman now asks Spencer if the gloves test positive for gun reside, will he agree they have enough to arrest EJ? Mr. ISA would rather wait. Roman moves EJ’s picture to a more prominent place on the suspects board. They are anxious for the lab results so Rafe goes to check. He soon returns bearing news. The gloves at EJ’s place tested positive for gunshot residue. Lucas overhears from around the corner and he is clearly pleased. Roman nods. “Good!” - Kate gets off the phone and gasps to Ian that her contact tells her that EJ failed a polygraph test, and now Roman and his men have searched his apartment. Ian airily wonders about that. Kate is surprised EJ would be the main suspect but Ian notes he had the most to gain financially. Kate remarks he does not like EJ very much. Ian claims he cares only about her. She must deliver some papers to another department and momentarily departs. Her briefcase stays behind ... - Nicole refuses to leave Dan’s side. Bo returns with the warrant and a battery ram to open the locked door. When they have forced it open, the gang enter and are shocked to find Gabi slumped against the wall. - Ian flashes back to watching EJ leave his gloves in a dumpster. He also flashes back to planting the bullets in his kitchen drawer and the gloves behind the painting on his wall. He sits and silently smirks, smug, almost intoxicated with the outcome. - Meanwhile EJ takes a drink as Sami takes a deep breath and they consider what to do next … END |
