DAYS OF OUR LIVES Part 2 Tuesday, July 17, 2012 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! Almost the Phantom of the Opera - Part 2 - Carrie woefully finishes updating Marlena on the wonderfully happy Rafe and Nicole. She wishes it were the two of them. She cannot stop wanting what she knows she cannot have and laments it is not fair to Austin and the baby. Marlena wonders what would be fair to Carrie and reminds her she too has feelings. She should not hate herself. Carrie cries the feelings hurt. She is sure she made the right decision and can make things work with Austin. She is usually fine until she sees Rafe. She is dying inside! Marlena is sorry. Carrie compares the fantasy to what happened with Mike. She should never have walked away from a good marriage. She now notes she should never have considered breaking up a good marriage. It becomes evident she is referring to her and Austin’s marriage, not Sami, who is no longer an ally. She now believes the baby is a sign. Marlena, however, suspects she has built a tight box around herself. Perhaps her idea of what makes a good person is far too rigid. Either option – whether Austin or Rafe – leaves her feeling guilty. She is sympathetic to her plight. Carrie notes she chose John. Marlena admits she anguished over it but she knows that she did indeed make the right choice. Carrie wonders if she should go to Rafe, even though she is having Austin’s baby. Marlena can only advise her to be less hard on herself. She gets teary-eyed and informs her darling girl she is only human. Carrie sniffles she knows. Marlena assures her she will always love her and support her, whichever path she chooses. They emotionally embrace. - Back at the town square, Rafe gets Nicole a bottled water and suggests he take her home to rest. She glances at Dan and explains she cannot leave him in his hour of need. Rafe makes a comment about how close they seem. She uses the word friend. Rafe is impressed and glad she is his friend too. They shake on it and he stands even closer. Dan sees the pair from a distance and bites his lip. - Chad confirms that is Gabi’s phone number. Gabi steps forward and quips that makes no sense. Bo suspiciously wonders whether there is something she has failed to share with them. Chad insists the same guy who stalked Gabi must have taken Mel! Gabi feigns a headache. Hope is at her side in an instant. Both Bo and Hope have serious questions. Was there an accomplice perhaps? Bo notes it is highly irregular for a stalker to write down one of his victims’ phone numbers. He takes Hope aside and quietly states they are missing something – something that is staring them in the face! Gabi watches nervously. - Andrew flat out refuses to release his fair prisoner. She suddenly smells gas and insists they flee, though he insists they are going nowhere just yet. And if they do, it will certainly not be anywhere around Salem! She attempts without success to reason with him, then discovers he actually has no idea where they are going. He laughs it matters not, as long as they are together. Mel loses her patience in spite of her scary situation. “There’s no way in hell I’m ever going anywhere with you!” exclaims the firecracker girl ... - Unassuming Dan approaches Nicole. He was trying to console Carly, there is nothing new to report. He vows he will find his daughter. Rafe promises the entire department is mobilized. He would like them to go over the details of the last time he spoke to Mel, anything that might help. Nicole appears torn as she observes the two men together. - Carrie goes home and starts to pack. She announces to flabbergasted Austin that they are leaving Salem and going back to Switzerland! He is at a loss for words. - Bo explains to Chad that the lab will sweep the room and the note discovered will be tested for fingerprints. Gabi flashes back to holding said note in her hand. Chad rages they must do more and go find Mel before it is too late! - Andrew snaps as Mel stands, clutching the pipe to which she is bound in the dark and eerie labyrinth. According to her masked captor, she has no say in the matter. Mel repeats she is not going anywhere with him. He rages she can come willingly or not, “But you’re going with me, one way or the other!” END |
