However, he hopes she will remain in town for Abe’s fundraiser. Carrie explains they are leaving tomorrow. Rafe glumly takes it all in. Outside, Lucas arrives and tells the cop in the front that he is there to see Rafe about the murder of Stefano DiMera! The cop enters the office and informs Rafe that Lucas Horton is here to see him. Rafe will talk to him in a moment. The cop asks Roman to have a look at something and they exit together. Rafe assures Carrie he wants what is best for her. “Right back at ya,” says she. They embrace with tears in their eyes. He gets choked up, explains he must get back to work, and walks off. Carrie turns around, quietly crying. Roman returns. He is curious whether this move has anything to do with keeping her distance form Rafe. He also would like her to think about this, is this what she really wants? She cries she is pregnant with Austin’s baby and committed to making her marriage work. Roman sadly accepts her decision and promises his support. She forces a smile through her tears. He sadly states he will miss the hell out of her. They share an emotional embrace. - Kate sits at the café with Ian and points out he must have been getting an update earlier about John’s power play to take over DiMera. She also thinks it is no coincidence that he ran into John. He should not have taunted him. Ian is aware that they were once an item. He changes the subject to his learning everything about her and wonders what she would think if he could get Countess W back for her. She suspiciously asks if that is his end game and for once, she wants a straight answer! Slippery Ian sidesteps and calls her paranoid from spending so much time with Stefano. He adds she misses what is obvious. He really wants Titan to stay ahead of the competition, hence his interest in knowledge. He pours them each a glass of wine and makes a toast. “Here’s to getting what we deserve!” Kate meets his gaze, though she is not without her reservations concerning this man. - John returns to the condo in a huff, followed by Marlena, who assures him it will be okay. John is upset about Brady’s situation and wishes he had reached out to him. He should have been there for him! Marlena also wishes she had been there for him, not to mention Will. It troubles her that he has been keeping more secrets. And this time for EJ! She dreads the idea that EJ might have become more important to him than his family. John is soon preoccupied on the sofa,busy with his ipad when Marlena sits down and brings up Stefano. Ian’s behavior reminded her of how Stefano used to push his buttons. John puts down the ipad and realizes she is right. She notes Ian is dangerous and hopes he will be careful. He hugs her and promises he will be. “Nothing’s gonna happen!” - EJ murmurs Samantha simply cannot deny this irresistible pull between them and almost starts to kiss her. She leans in to kiss him with her own hungry lips. He suddenly pulls away, notes she can no longer deny there is something between them, and saunters out. Sami gasps in frustration and anger. But this time she does not deny it … - At the station, Rafe is curious about what exactly Lucas had wanted to show him. Lucas declares this proves EJ’s motive for destroying Stefano. He hands him the letter and triumphantly advises him to prepare the arrest warrant. He might also want to add fraud to the list of charges. Rafe is intrigued. He puts on his latex gloves and starts to read. He does not have to get very far before he gets a big shock. “EJ’s not Stefano’s son?!” Lucas shakes his head. “Nope.” Will rushes in, realizes he is too late, and watches in horror … END |
