| Friday, July 22, 2011 - PART 2 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! RETURN TO ME - Part 2 - From his hospital bed, EJ mutters there was a woman present when he was attacked. He had assumed it was Nicole, but it was not. He never said anything, as he felt she suffered enough. Lexie wants to run tests. She and Nicole wonder what the groggy patient is experiencing. - At the Cheatin Heart, Dario has given in his resignation to boss lady Adrienne, who wishes him well. Jen has arrived and updates Adrienne. She would rather if Adrienne not tell anyone about the brief email she got from Jack. Adrienne agrees and suspects she knows what this is all about. If Daniel thinks she still wants Jack, she assumes he will go to Carly, but he will not. The only result is that everyone will be miserable! She advises her to think this through and gets back to work ... Meanwhile, Brady is ignoring Nicole's urgent text messages. He denies to Tay that he has designs on Melanie. - At the hospital, Lexie has discovered there is swelling on EJ's brain. He needs his rest first and foremost. He will spend the night there, hooked up to an IV. She gets him back into bed. He lies on his back and sighs. Lexie leaves for a moment. Nicole pulls up a chair. She informs him he seemed sincere about being sorry, but she believes he needed her to take him to the hospital. Why did he care that he hurt her? He murmurs he does care very much and takes her hand. He deeply regrets how he hurt her family and realizes she has lost it all because of what he did. Nicole uncertainly pulls her hand away and walks out, her eyes filled with tears. EJ whispers he is sorry. Outside her brother's room, Lexie thanks Nicole for getting him there in time. Nicole asks if he will eventually remember more about his attack. Lexie replies he will. Nicole quips maybe he will also come out of it with a new personality and departs. - In the staff lounge, Carly emphatically states she does not care for Dan that way. Jen must have misunderstood. Dan reminds her how much she means to him. He considers her a remarkable friend. She feels the same way. Dan drawls her friendship means the world to him and apologizes for what he said. He is now hopeful that he and Jen will be able to work things out ... - Lexie enters EJ's room and explains she called father, though he is not answering. EJ laments that is because he does not care. Is there anyone else she can call for him? "There's no one," he sighs woefully. - Tay shows up at the hospital and tells Lexie she has decided to accept the offer to stay with the Carvers. Lexie had assumed she heard about EJ. Tay does not understand. Lexie enlightens her. Nicole found him semi-conscious and it turns out his head injury is worse than originally thought. It also seems he has given up. He no longer feels he has anyone or anything to fight for. Tay appears concerned ... - Nicole visits Brady at the Kiriakis mansion, bearing desperate news. EJ's brain is swelling, as the attack was worse than originally thought. And that's not all! He is starting to remember the night of the attack. He remembers a woman and will soon realize it was Mel, who was covering for him. She fears he will come after Brady before long. Brady drawls no one will come after him. And if EJ dies, he will not even have to worry about it ... - Meanwhile, on duty nurse Mel enters EJ's room, checks his pulse, and states to the other nurse he will be fine. The sleeping patient dramatically flashes back to her voice and face comforting him after his attack. His eyes fly wide open. There stands nurse Mel in her scrubs, the girl in his flashback. She freezes and stares back at him ... Next on Days of Our Lives "Carly is about to break!" announces Viv. Dan calls Jen. "I need to see you. It's important!" Stefano menacingly steps in front of Taylor at the hospital. "We need to have a talk. About Elvis!" |
