EJ assures her he did not manipulate the lad. Sami reminds him his defense to her had been that he could not kill his own father, of all things. EJ exclaims everyone is now speculating he did it, that he is nothing. And it is true. He is nothing. Sami notes Will can relate to his tough relationship with Stefano, as he feels his own parents doubt him. EJ admits he and fatha had been arguing. She points out Stefano did not torture him with the letter. “EJ, you’re not nothing and Stefano did love you and he never stopped!” EJ diverts his gaze. Gabi babbles about waking up on the floor and the note Andrew left. The cops have their doubts. Chad defends her as she was drugged. Hope suggests the information they need is in her subconscious mind. Bo agrees there is a technique they could use to retrieve it. “Hypnosis!” announces Hope. Gabi cringes.She claims the notion of being hypnotized frightens her. Hope explains Marlena is a trained expert and dear friend. Bo notes maybe she could meet with her today. As the cops suspiciously observe her, Chad reassures his friend. Bo insists Marlena would make the time to meet with her. Mel has gotten the phone away, unbeknownst to captor Andrew, who is overwhelmed by the hug. He must go check out the car rental. She tells him to go. He, however, now decides he cannot stand the idea of leaving her alone. EJ assures Sami he will not bother William anymore. He had wanted him to get the footage they found to his lawyer. Sami now updates him on the footage being erased. EJ whacks the suspects board and send it flying. Sami blinks. Rafe breaks away from Carrie and laments she ought to go. She now announces Sami still loves him. He claims he is over her. Carrie insists Sami gets under people’s skin and she suspects she is still under Rafe’s. “Like hell she is!” says he. Carrie sagely states his overreaction proves her point. She wants him to be happy and advises him to consider what she said. Then she kisses him briefly and departs. A cop opens the door as Sami tries to put the board back up. She fibs she accidentally knocked it over. The cop leaves momentarily. EJ rages the person who is out to get him must have deleted the footage. She confesses she has something and promptly produces the flash drive from her blouse, explaining she downloaded the video as they watched it. EJ grabs her in a bear hug, all smiles, and shouts “Something is finally going my way!” After the hug, he sneaks a quick kiss on the lips, and asks if she thinks he is innocent. She whispers what does he want her to do with the flash drive? The cop returns. EJ asks her to give it to his lawyer, and quietly tells her how glad he is that she is now on his side, whatever her reasons. Sami grins and flounces off on her errand. EJ gazes after her. Mel gets Andrew to finally leave. She calls Chad’s phone from the dark deserted tunnel. He is above ground with Gabi at the town square when he answers and identifies himself. “Oh my God. Chad!” gasps Mel. Back at the mansion, Sonny watches Will as he struggles to find the lost footage on his computer. EJ is counting on him! Sonny muses that one has enough money to hire any law firm. He does not understand why Will cares so much. He is determined to be the one to help him. Sonny wishes him luck, for whoever hacked that website knew exactly what they were doing. As the cop leads EJ away from the board where only his suspect picture remains, he happily informs him he is innocent. Austin stands up at the pub and pays his bill. He turns around to find Carrie standing before him. She teases she hears Switzerland is beautiful this time of year. So does he! Is she sure about this? Only with him. They hug and she smiles they have a plane to catch. They pause at the door and exchange I love yous. The happy couple now bid adieu to the pub and leave the scene. For the last time. At the town square, Rafe has gotten himself a cup of coffee. He flashes back to Carrie insisting that Sami is still under his skin. He remembers passionately kissing Sami once upon a time, then bitterly scoffs. He starts to walk off with his bag, a man on a mission. At the gate nearby, Sami walks and talks on her phone. She will explain everything when she arrives at the law office. All of a sudden, a thug grabs her from behind, his hand over her mouth preventing her from screaming …! END |
