I REMEMBER IT WELL - Part 2 - Hope joins preoccupied Bo in his office and soon realizes that the D.A. is conspiring against them with Internal Affairs. She feels responsible. Bo drawls hiring her back was the best decision he made as commissioner and he still stands by it. Enter Roman, and he informs Bo he is gonna have to pay the piper for this one! Turns out Bo was demoted as commissioner. Roman wishes he could have done more but the good news is that he is Hope's partner again. Bo muses being commissioner was not a good fit. He and Hope are thrilled to be working together again and she removes his tie. Bo grins now he can be back on the streets with his favorite partner. They will be doing what they do best as a team! Bo laughingly wonders who the poor sap is who will be taking over for him. Roman explains it just might be him. The gang are suddenly interrupted by McCarthy, who shows them Dr. Feelgood Carly's drug photo on the computer. They are shocked! - At the hospital, Tay asks after nurse Mel. Nurse Maxine replies she is not there. Tay asks her to have her call her and steps away. Mel soon arrives with Dario. The hospital is busy and short staffed. Maxine wants her to cover for a sick nurse. Mel tries to explain she cannot. Dario suggests she stay there. He will keep looking. Besides, if he finds Carly on his own, perhaps she will not run away. He promises to call every 5 minutes with an update, kisses her, and takes off. Mel walks off to get changed before Maxine can give her Taylor's message ... - At the Cheatin Heart, Nicole wistfully remarks it is all about timing. She blew her chance and left Brady for EJ, to be with Sydney, only to discover that Sydney does not need her! Now here she is. She insists she has learned her lesson. Brady shuts his eyes. She begs him to run away with her, no strings attached. He points out he has things to deal with now. She smiles she will handle that, kisses him, and exits. Ring ring! Tis troubled Taylor. "Brady, we have a problem. A big problem!" - At the Sapphire Club, the D.A. declares he is deeply sorry for how shabbily he treated Chad, especially recently. He was angry and felt humiliated by his mother's betrayal. He regrets he took it out on him. Will he forgive him? Chad DiMera looks him squarely in the eye. "No!" The D.A. is flabbergasted. Chad recalls how he loved him, yet he blamed him for his mother's death and practically threw him out! The D.A. still thinks they should see each other from time to time. Chad takes a drink and coldly states that will not happen. Woods deduces he has moved on with his new family. Chad points out the whole DiMera clan was there for him and gave him a sense of belonging, unlike him all that time! Woods acknowledges his mother and also he would want Chad to be happy and walks out. Abigail arrives. She and Chad hold each other tight. She is proud of him, then sadly updates him that she kept the secret of Carly's drug problem. She regrets she did not tell Mel. Chad reassures her she could not have predicted what would happen. Abigail still thinks it was irresponsible of her. Chad does not want her to be so hard on herself. Abigail agrees. Besides, this is about poor Carly and she is in a lot of trouble! All they can do now is pray that she is in good hands, wherever she is ... - Back at Quinn's apartment, he pulls meddling mama Viv away from the bed and exclaims that is not his girlfriend! Viv is still euphoric about destroying Carly. Quinn finally ushers her out and closes the door. He now removes the blanket from sleeping Carly's face. Time to find out who the mystery lady is! - Back at the Cheatin Heart, Tay meets Brady and updates him that EJ is starting to remember. He already recalls Mel being at the pier. Brady becomes very worried that he will tell Stefano. He immediately calls Dario and leaves a message that it is important he get in touch with him. Tay laments this is a mess. Who will protect Brady when EJ learns the truth? Nicole waltzes in and smugly announces that she and Brady are leaving town together! - Back at the hospital, nurse Mel is in her scrubs, ready to start her shift. She is surprised when Maxine informs her that Tay wanted to hear from her. Mel notes that is Nicole's sister and enters EJ's room. She tells him he looks much better and his color is returning, as she takes his pulse. He mutters that is not all that is coming back. He happens to remember the night of the pier more and more. There was someone other than his attacker present. Mel casually wonders who else was there. "You were!" he drawls. Mel's eyes widen. She plays innocent. He smirks he knows she did not bludgeon him, and was cleaning up after the crime. He has many enemies. In fact, one of them is prone to erratic behavior ... He suspects she knows to whom he is referring! - Back in Quinn's room, he assures Carly she is safe, then opens her purse to find out who she is. He pulls out her ID and is stunned to see her name! - Back at the Cheatin Heart, Brady informs the sisters that he intends to stay in town and protect Melanie. That is his plan! - Back at the hospital, Mel pretends she does not know who EJ is talking about. He stares darkly. "It was Brady Black, wasn't it? Wasn't it?!" Next on Days of Our Lives Bo studies Carly's Dr. Feelgood picture on the computer as Hope stands nearby. "She's in trouble," he laments. "Big trouble!" Nicole enlightens Brady and Taylor. "In EJ's world, Go AFTER is a euphemism for KILL!" EJ impatiently covers Mel's mouth with his hand and shoves her little face on the pillow. Enter Dario. "Let her go!" |
