She is on her way! Will and Lucas meet by the town square gate, flanked by colorful trees, but Lucas’ mood is anything but colorful. Will warns him he likes his new life and is finally happy. He will not allow him to mess things up for him! Lucas glowers. Gabi lets Nick inside and he insists this is not about hate or judgment, this is about him. She does not understand. Nick recounts how he had to face the person he had become, the choices he made. Gabi wonders if he means Sonny and Will are bad people. No, he does not. He recalls how all he used to think about was what he needed, not right and wrong, and that was what led him down the wrong path. One has to be careful. Nick does not seem to think one should brush aside what God says. He also believes Sonny and Will have made a choice he considers wrong. Gabi cannot believe he views being gay as a choice. Does he also think being straight is a choice? Nick would rather not discuss it. He does not hate Will and Sonny, though he admits he is uncomfortable around them. He is sorry this came between them. He starts to leave. Gabi stops him and tells him he is dead wrong. Nick points out her church says the same thing. Gabi reminds him they are talking about his cousin and his friend. Nick insists he wants what is best for Will. He also wishes this would not come between them. He marvels Gabi is an amazing woman. “You make me feel I can be the man that I’ve always wanted to be ...” He kisses her hand, then kisses her on the lips. “You’re so beautiful.” They continue kissing. Suited John sits with Brady at the pub and wonders if everything is okay. Brady replies he has spoken to Marlena. John notes he did too. T’would seem doc has her guard up with Kristen because of the past. Brady wonders what he ever saw in the woman! Preoccupied EJ stares darkly out the window of his office and calls Nicole’s about-face unbelievable. Devil’s advocate Kristen suggests maybe she is being truthful now. EJ is not happy to hear it. Kristen is well aware he only wanted to have some time to think about his next move. She adds his instincts are spot on. He must proceed with caution in this volatile matter. Daydream alert: Nervous Nicole is ready to go to Hawaii when Dan comes home. He explains he has more paperwork at the hospital. She wants to go tonight but he insists it will be fine. The cops arrive and arrest Dan for falsifying medical records. Nicole can only watch helplessly. She now blinks back to reality, her eyes mirroring her worry. Dan runs into Jen on the Kiriakis doorstep and blasts her for meddling. He rages at her and also Maggie to stay out of his life and let this go! The medicine man is feeling the pressure. Lucas wonders if Will knows about Sonny’s behavior. He does and it is understandable, given how Lucas practically broke down his door. Lucas points out he wanted him to know Caroline was leaving, hence the visit. Lucas grumbles the whole situation could have been avoided if Will had checked his messages. Instead, he ... Will dares him to say it. Lucas pauses. Dan laments to Jen this is not how he had intended to bid farewell. Jen and Maggie are stunned. They had assumed he was not leaving for two weeks. He sighs he will call them and walks way. John purses his lips in thought. He tells Brady that Kristen was a good person until Stefano changed her. She went through a great deal and then he went back to Marlena. It was more than her nerves could take. She went off the rails. Brady warns she is still not back on track. Kristen informs EJ that Jennifer Horton would not have done such a thing to a pregnant woman. He snaps to leave and pours himself a drink. Kristen advises him to use his head. He does and notes Nicole seemed scared and she does not spook easily. The question is why is she afraid? Kristen wonders if the doctor could have threatened her. EJ doubts it and refers to him as a holistic hippy. His eyes now narrow. There is something else she is hiding from him. He knows the doctor must have changed her mind about pressing charges against Jen, yet there is something else. It is that something else he intends to find out! Will wants Lucas to just say it. Lucas exclaims he should have been available instead of hooking up with Sonny! Kristen reminds EJ to focus on the facts. He will get his justice if he is patient. He agrees. He will keep his eye on Nicole and the good doctor. Kristen muses when the time is right, then he will be able to sweep down and make his move. John has just gotten off the phone and needs to run. He assures Brady that Kristen no longer poses a real threat to himself or Marlena like in the old days. Once he is gone, Brady finishes his coffee and declares he will make sure of that! Maggie is sorry and laments to Jen there is nothing more they can do. Jen suddenly decides there is and takes off, a look of determination in her eye. Dan returns to the apartment. Packed Nicole is waiting and exclaims they have to leave right away! Dan agrees and hugs her, his eyes mirroring his dread that something bad is about to happen ... END |
