GAMES PEOPLE PLAY - Part 2 - Rafe sadly tells Sami that if she keeps making him say no, it will only get harder and worse for her. She needs to listen to him. Sami thinks he is wrong. Besides, this is already worse. She exits. He turns to watch her leave, his eyes filled with tears. Sami gets in the elevator. Rafe watches through the peephole and reaches for the door handle, wishing he could stop her. The elevator door symbolically closes. - Abigail would like to know when Nicole is leaving the house. After the baby is born. Abigail notes Nicole said she felt Jen was judging her and also said she was believing other people’s opinions, a situation caused by stress … Jen has a good laugh, then gets mad she is trying to play divide and conquer. It makes no sense! Abigail assumes she is jealous mainly because of how Dr. Jonas feels about her. Jen becomes livid that she is trashing her to her own daughter while living under her roof! - Nicole has apparently just heard Daniel’s mysterious idea and thinks it is good. Is he sure Rafe will be able to help? He thinks so. He will run it by him. He walks her to her car and she continues to praise him for helping her. She gives him a sly look and purrs she will make it up to him. - Sami enters her apartment and angrily paces. She gasps and picks up a family photograph with Rafe. She looks ready to hit someone. - Rafe’s phone rings. He sighs. “What the hell do you want?” Tis EJ at the park. Making a courtesy call. He politely reminds him he will make sure his dear sweet sister does not get locked up. Rafe drawls as long as he stays away from Sami. He unhappily explains he was indeed true to his word. He just saw Sami and they are officially over. EJ toys with his phone, muses she must be feeling terrible, and goes to console her. Rafe drinks his beer and throws the bottle against the wall. He looks ready to hit someone. - Roman has some work for Hope at her office. He would like her to share who she feels should be promoted in case Bo leaves. He laments he will also have to make some cuts but those will be guided by seniority. He bites his lip and complains he hates making cuts. Alas, he has no choice. - Bo is having coffee at the pub counter, a paper before him. Caroline teases she heard him thinking and knows he cannot make up his mind. Bo proudly shows her the headlines. The carjacking suspect he caught is off the street. This is why he does what he does. Caroline whips out a photograph of little Ciara. She has never heard any pub patrons ever say they wish they had spent less time with their families. Bo stares at the old photograph. She lets him keep the picture as she has a copy. - Abigail is just sorry she did not confide in Jen sooner. Jen is enraged that Nicole believes she does not see what a lying, manipulative woman she really is. Abigail senses she is lonely but Jen is convinced that one is a good for nothing liar. And her life is about to get lonelier! She is about to hurt someone if Jen does not stop it! Abigail deduces she is being protective about Daniel. Jen insists he is an amazing friend, no more no less. Abigail asks if she really does not have feelings for him. Jen suddenly screams how can she say she has feelings for another man when her husband just … Raging Jen stops and suddenly cries she is sorry for losing it. She should have just said no. She does not have any feelings for Daniel. Furthermore, this whole mess is her fault as she offered to let Nicole stay with them. It has become intolerable for both of them. She must get back to work. Abigail is sorry she upset her. Now considerably calmer, Jen sniffles she is fine, for knowledge is power. She needed to know what Nicole was saying about her. They exchange I love yous and Abigail departs. Jen sits down at her desk and looks at the list of DNA labs. What has that woman gotten Daniel into! - Rafe opens his door, only to come face to face with Gabi. She wants to help pay for lawyer Justin He explains it will not be necessary. She is hoping for a light sentence but he insists she owes him nothing He hugs her and promises his little sister he would do anything for her. “End of story.” He walks out the door. - Sami puts down the family photo. Knock knock! Tis EJ. He pretends to be there to drop off Johnny’s football and wonders whether she is alright. She snaps she is fine and dumps the family photo with Rafe in the drawer. She then sits on the sofa and buries her face in her hands. - Abigail has a mug at the coffee house. Gabi joins her and Abigail informs her she lost her cell phone, hence all her missed messages. Gabi thinks Mel must have left her many, just as she did. Abigail is surprised to hear the wedding is off and Mel has left town. Whatever happened? - Dan overhears a nurse informing a woman on the phone that Jennifer Horton left orders not to be disturbed. His eyes narrow and he enters her office just as she claims to be calling a lab on behalf of EJ DiMera. He snatches the receiver from her hand and slams it down. Their eyes meet across her desk. - Rafe pauses silently at the town square gate, all by himself, his heart breaking. Nicole approaches and asks if he is okay. He frowns glumly. - EJ sits beside Samantha and tenderly assures her he is here for her. He places his arm around her and urges her to tell him what is the matter. She bitterly states he was right when he said Rafe would never be able to get past what they did.”He never will,” she whispers. He is sorry and pulls her close. She rests her head on his shoulder, in tears. He kisses her forehead, hushes her, and closes his eyes, smiling victoriously ... END |
