They have both been affected by what is happening to Caroline. Time is fleeting. They intend to treasure their moments together and share a sweet kiss. - Hope asks Bo why Victor was at the pub as he finishes getting ready for the morning rush. Bo replies Vic was waiting for Maggie while he enjoyed a glass of port with ma. He admits she went away for a moment too. Hope realizes Victor knows. Bo explains he figured it out and will keep the secret. Hope hugs him. The talk turns to Ciara. Bo remarks one day their daughter will be taking care of them. - Sami screams and throws a tantrum that Rafe did not tell her but told Carrie. He explains he only blurted it out to Carrie as they were in the safe house and believed they were seconds away from being blown up. Sami accuses him of using her. She actually believed he was grieving for his dead child and she was helping him. “We were about to have sex!” He assures her he loves her and he was grieving. She now wonders if he wanted to play the role of the father of Nicole’s baby for good. She gets miffed as she realizes he would have wanted her to deal with mommy Nicole. Rafe sighs she will not have to worry about that anymore. Sami concedes there is nothing worse than losing a baby but he kept lying to her when there was no need to protect the child from EJ. Why did he do it? He says Nicole’s name and she requests clarification. She wants to know if he would have ever told her the truth. No, he would not have. She slowly nods in painful understanding. - EJ wonders what Kristen Blake DiMera, his adopted sista, is doing there. She informs him she knows these last few months have been complicated. He concludes fatha has sent her and pours himself a drink. She offers to lend him a sympathetic ear. He bitterly asks why. She reminds him they are family and Stefano looks out for all their best interest. She is sorry he lost his son. She too lost a son, which is why he came into the world. He coldly reminds her she tried to snatch him from his mother’s arms so she is no fairy godmother. She alludes to the fact that she has changed. Nothing counts more than family. “Who do you have but us?” she teases. He considers. He now agrees she is right. His children are his consolation. He goes on to say that he neither trusts nor likes her, so her journey was in vain. She makes light of his response and laughs “Ouch!” Is he sure about that? Indeed. Before taking her leave, she repeats she is sorry for his loss. Outside the door, she tells herself she will be back later. Meantime she has other irons in the fire. She departs to attend to them, a naughty glint in her eye ... - Bo woefully looks at a photograph of Caroline and Shawn at the pub. “Don’t worry pop. I won’t let ma down, you either.” He fights back the tears and walks out of the dark pub. - Marlena and John get comfy on a bench together and discuss. He drawls it matters not that he had a nightmare, for it was not real. She notes his feelings are real. He refuses to be bothered by his past and insists they have nothing to worry about. He is confident there is nothing here that can hurt them! The blonde is relieved he feels better and they cuddle. - Exasperated Rafe reminds Sami this is what he did for her too once upon a turbulent time. Why can she not see that? Sami snaps he would have told her if she were like her sister. And yet he stands there as a sanctimonious hypocrite. No one would call her those two words in the same sentence! She lashes out and accuses him of wanting to grieve with sex. Maybe he does not forgive her, but she does not forgive him either. She concludes they are DONE and walks out on him. Teary-eyed Rafe is now left standing alone like a lost soul ... END |
