Marlena snaps they were criminal, psychotic, and unforgivable. Kristen insists she has changed and is not the same woman anymore. Marlena angrily suggests she go to Tibet or to hell! Kristen shares that she had therapy. Marlena remains sarcastic. Kristen explains she is here for family issues and also wants to make amends. She extends her hand … Marlena flat out refuses to shake hands with her former nemesis. She crossed the line! She warns she might come after her before she starts something. Kristen assures her she has nothing to fear from her, claims it was great to see her, and starts to leave. But before she does … “Give my regards to John please.” Marlena hears the smugness in her voice. - Dan sits glumly with Maggie and laments he has made a mess of everything. The redhead reminds him he cannot fix everything. Dan confesses Nicole is not solely responsible for he has made some big mistakes too. Maggie becomes concerned that he too could be in trouble. He sighs he will be fine, but he cannot allow Nicole and Jen to suffer. She argues he will not be able to get through to Nicole. Every time she sees Jen, she will just relive losing her baby. The medicine man realizes she is right. Maggie tenderly touches his face and begs him to take care of himself. It suddenly dawns on Dan that there IS something he can do! - Jen woefully tells Nicole she is very wrong about what happened. She admits she was angry, but she was also fearful and was therefore trying to escape from her. Nicole yells from her bed that she pushed her. Jen denies it. Nicole accuses her of threatening her and warns she will call the police. Jen insists she is not threatening her. Nicole picks up her phone and asks for the police. Jen promises to go. “I came here to tell you that I am sincerely sorry for what happened but I will not let you take me away from my children because you want me to hurt the way that you hurt. I cannot let you do that.” Exit Jen. Nicole screams after her that she will not let her win. - Will and Sonny grin naughtily at Kate, their arms around each other. She sarcastically agrees it is a great idea to make a lifelong commitment after a whole week of dating. They claim they are considering New Year’s eve. She wonders what their parents might think of the news. Will states he tweeted dad, then has trouble keeping a straight face and admits he was joking. Sonny steps away to take a coffee shop call. Will hopes Kate is not mad. Only disappointed. Will explains that given his parents’ history, he will not rush into anything. He is crazy about Sonny plus he likes himself now. Kate is reminded of an old song and asks him not to rush but take all the steps along the way. - Marlena rummages frantically through her purse for her phone. It is missing! Meanwhile John informs Mindy he is turning everything off for the rest of the day. He will be unreachable and with his wife. At the park, Marlena gasps that Kristen must have taken her phone! - John’s door opens. He assumes it is Mindy about that report and stares in disbelief when Kristen waltzes in, smiling. - When Jen gets home, Maggie is waiting on her doorstep. She admits she saw Nicole but fears she made things worse and Nicole intends to see her convicted of murder! - Dan returns to Nicole, who is sorry she was not nice. He understands as she was upset. He sits at her bedside and assures her he cares about her. He declares he is going to see her through this. He also wants her to know that he will always want her as part of his life. She glumly adds there must be a BUT, though he promises there is no but. “I want to go away with you,” says he. Nicole is over the moon, believing she has won. She hugs him and cries tears of joy.
