All of a sudden, Kayla gets a call, Jen gets a text. They must go to the hospital right away! - Maggie did not want to see Daniel unhappy but admits she might have overstepped. She loves and cares about him and only wanted to help. He understands, though her attempts did not help. Ciara calls from the other room for grandma Maggie. She smiles she is having dinner with them. Dan note she takes care of many people. “Like mother, like son,” sagely states the redhead. He starts to depart and she assures him she loves him. He loves her too. Once outside the door, he leaves a message for Nicole. Perhaps they should talk more about moving to Utah! - Nicole is standing in her hospital gown, having placed all the latest baby outfits she bought on the bed, including a Halloween outfit, a tiny Santa suit. She holds it to her heart and asks God why this is happening to her again. She cries she could hear her baby cry in her sleep. She breaks down and sobs for her lost little Danny. She cannot bear to say goodbye and never have the chance to hold him! - Hope sits back down with Bo at the pub. He has Ciara’s poem in his hands. He informs her today is the day. “I resigned.” She smiles he actually went through with it. She is proud of him and they hug. He thanks her for the support. She assumes he is hankering to start his next project. Bo muses DiMera can wait for now and ushers her out the door. They arrive at the Kiriakis mansion, where they join Maggie and happy Ciara. Bo asks her to read him her poem. He will not miss any future school assemblies ... - Nicole has just finished packing up her baby things and realizes she has a message from Daniel! - Jen and Kayla arrive at the hospital, where a nurse updates them on the fact that power is down in the ER and there is a shocking hospital wide computer outage! The backup generator is holding out for now. Kayla morphs into chief of staff mode. She will check the ER and instructs the nurse to send all urgent cases to St Mary’s until further notice. PR Jen promises to have a press release within 15 minutes. The nasty girl from HR approaches and confronts Jen about the chaos. The press release should have been done an hour ago! She was not even at the hospital! Jen yells that is enough and angrily slams her hand down on the counter. The girl walks off. Dan comes around the corner and insists on taking a look as Jen winces in pain. - EJ is at his desk, angrily tossing papers. His phone starts to ring and he shuts his eyes. STEFANO CALLING! - Rafe opens his door to Sami. He is ready and pumped for the picnic, unless she would rather stay here. She casually replies either would be fine. Rafe sees right away that something must have happened. She admits EJ texted her as he had been watching them and she wanted to confront him. She is sorry she lied. Rafe grins this is weird. She explains they must be honest for this to work. No more secrets, no more lies. He agrees. She is relieved. And so now he can tell her the truth. “Are you really the father of Nicole’s baby?” Rafe freezes. Sami continues. She warns if EJ is the father, she wants to know, as he would come after everyone. She offers to find a way to help him and Nicole keep the baby away from EJ. She simply needs to know. Is he the baby’s father or not? Rafe gives her a sheepish look. - Exasperated Nicole cannot access her voice mail. She sighs she must speak with Daniel and walks out of her room, now fully dressed. She soon gets an eyeful of Dan holding Jen's wrist, which seems to have been sprained. Jen smiles the last time he brought her to the ER, her face was swollen. They giggle about that date. Nicole stands, watching the happy pair, and silently cries, consumed with grief, just about ready to snap ... END |
