| DAYS OF OUR LIVES Part 2 Tuesday, September 11, 2012 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! 24 HOURS - Part 2 - Nick is sitting at the town square with the classifieds, busily calling job ads. As soon as he states his name, the call always ends, for he is well known in town! Nick now goes onto the next one. This ad is number eleven! He picks up his phone as Caroline comes up behind him and solemnly says hello. He stands up and assumes he is the last person she expected to see. She heard about his parole. He explains he is trying unsuccessfully to find a job. He perceives she is still angry at him and promises he is sincerely sorry. He even wrote her letters from prison, to let her know he was trying to change. Caroline snaps the letters and his words do not cut it. No one owes him forgiveness! He agrees he will have to prove himself and earn that forgiveness. Caroline starts to walk away with a frown, then stops and turns around. She recalls his last letter with all the passionate things he said about changing, taking responsibility. She points out he will need someone to give him a chance and wonders how he is at washing dishes. She just happens to be hiring. Nick stares. - Sami coyly informs EJ she is indeed asking him out. EJ is elated about their date and jokes he will have to check his schedule. She makes fun of him. He laughs he has nothing lined up and they sit on the couch. She muses she does not recognize him anymore. Neither does he. He feels lighthearted, liberated, and chuckles the former mayor would just love to accept her invitation! Sami smiles then they have a date. He grins there is a condition. She stands up from the sofa in a huff. He grabs her arm and asks that she permit him to plan their date, given he has so much free time. Do they have a deal? - Jen has no idea what Nicole means. Nicole claims she is worried about Daniel worrying about Jen when he is dealing with Melanie’s situation. Meanwhile she is doing her best to support him. She calls him too nice to want to burden others. In fact, he is too nice to tell people he only has so much to give. Jen snaps she did not ask him for anything. Matter of fact, when he could see she was upset, he made the first move. He came to her! Nicole harshly reminds her that she recently dropped him. - Sami agrees with EJ’s idea that their date will be tomorrow night. He grins he wants to plan the perfect date. She teases it must take 24 hours to make a phone call. He repeats he is a lighthearted person.She wonders what he has done with the real EJ DiMera. He gushes the planning will give him even more time to look forward to it. He gets close to kiss her and remarks she has to get back to work. Sami swoons and yet he pulls away, murmuring he will not overstay his welcome. With a wink and a grin, he is gone. Sami sighs she needs this ... - Abigail would like to know what exactly Cam is saying. He patiently explains she seems overwhelmed. Perhaps he is not the right guy for her now. She disagrees, then realizes he is breaking up with her. He thinks that would be best and leaves before she can stop him. - Jen emotionally exclaims she did not push Daniel aside. Nicole recounts how hopeful he was, but then he was forced to compete against her ex. Jen is miffed she is implying that she is using him. Nicole wants her to ask herself if Daniel deserves to have to console her. She declares she must not play mind games with him! - Dan arrives at the mansion in time to her Brady loudly arguing with Maggie about her illustrious house guest. Dan is horrified to hear she actually took in that stray jailbird Nick Fallon. Brady shouts he is a killer. Maggie implores him to stop. Brady bitterly advises her to tell the whole story and walks out of the room. Dan watches and waits.Maggie updates him on Melanie running out after she saw Nick was at the house. She appeared shaken up. Dan thinks that should not surprise the redhead. He now demands to know whose side she is really on! - Chad takes Mel’s hand in his and gently and promises he will always love and take care of her. He will make her happy and begs her to say yes. She lets out a YES and he slips the ring on her finger as they cry a few tears of joy. - Nick is not clear on Caroline’s offer. She admits she is giving him a lousy job to see if he truly can change. If he can do the hard work, look her in the eye, and stay out of trouble, then maybe he has changed. Nick stares. Tough bird Caroline adds he starts in the morning and walks off. - Chad wonders whether Mel is going to say anything. She whispers she is so happy and clings to him, like a frightened lone child ...
