She tells him Jack used to eat the crust and she took the middle. They agree it is those little things. Brady admits talking to Mel about her problems provided a bit of an escape for him. Jen assures him Nick has changed. He hopes she is right. Jen thinks Mel is lucky to have him. Brady lists others she has, including Chad and Dan. Jen’s eyes brighten upon hearing Dan’s name. He reminds her of how Jack used to be with their daughter ... - Mel gets mad that Dan does not share her enthusiasm about being engaged. He argues they must deal with her fear of Nick first. Right here right now! How did this engagement happen so fast? He soon deduces she went to see Maggie to talk over the proposal, then ran into Nick and went running back to Chad with her impulsive answer. Mel sidesteps. She accuses him of hurting her and not wanting her to be happy. - Rafe protests. He and Sami are history! Nicole notes EJ is bugged still. Rafe thinks it is only because he is the baby’s father. He has no interest whatsoever in Sami. Not now. Not ever. Nicole is convinced he knows very well that is not true. - Sami admires Will in his new jacket and wants to now discuss his love life. He thinks that department is closed. She encourages him to believe in himself. Then others will love him too. Will thanks her and suggests she take the same advice. - Back at the coffee house, EJ is on the phone talking daffodils when he gets a call from Justin. Billie enters and overhears him asking for advice on Nicole Walker. She approaches the table and interrupts. “Are you still interested in Nicole?” EJ sighs to Justin that something incredibly annoying has happened and abruptly ends the call. Billie smugly plops herself in the chair opposite him without an invitation. EJ looks at her. Billie points out they are pseudo-related and suggests he confide in her. He is not interested and explains he was merely tying up loose ends concerning his dead marriage with Nicole. She wants to know who the daffodils are for and cackles when he walks out. - Sami admires herself in a tight hot pink dress and tells herself not to be nervous. Knock knock! She assumes EJ is early and opens the door to Rafe, who stares in amazement. Her face lights up . - Will has arrived at the pub, to pick up his takeout order. T arrives and taunts this must be a gay bar now. Will says to go away. T admits he was rough on him the other day. He just wanted to make sure he did not think he was gay. Will gets his order and starts to leave. T notes he and Sonny are similar. Will disagrees. They are both just gay. T grins he knows he is not into him like that and teases he is a real heartbreaker - Brady thanks Jen for helping him finish the pretzel. They agree to do it again, same time next week. Nicole appears and watches as they laugh together. She keeps on walking. - Papa Dan promises Mel he does not wish to hurt her. She wants him to congratulate her. He will only say he is happy if she is happy. She woefully insists this was not a kneejerk reaction to Nick. Dan solemnly congratulates the tormented girl and holds her tight. - Adrienne is smiling at Sonny as he works at the coffee house. She has love on her mind and brings up Brian. Sonny enlightens her that they are merely friends. Adrienne wonders if there is anyone he is interested in. Sonny grins and admits there is indeed. Will. Adrienne’s face falls. “Will Horton???” - Will follows T out of the pub and wants him to elaborate on what he meant about Sonny and him. T explains he heard it from Sonny’s lips that he was into him but Will did not return the sentiment. Will stares as he takes it all in and then races off to find him ... - Love struck EJ calls Sami. She does not answer her phone but tells Rafe she was getting ready to go somewhere. Rafe realizes that she is expecting EJ and calls her a fool. Sami quips he came over to tell her that? Exasperated Rafe dramatically declares he is not the right man for her. He is not! Sami looks at him in surprise ... END |
