They can discuss Andrew another tine. Gabi quietly agrees. - At the hospital, nurse Maxine approaches Dan and cheerfully tells him of the welcome back party they are planning for Jennifer. He thanks her but he will not be there. - Back at Horton house, two women are at odds. Nicole yells to Jen that she was the one Dan turned to about the problems in his life. And then she helped him while she was stringing him along. Jen quips she cannot imagine how hard it was for her at that time. Nicole angrily accuses her of leading him around by the nose. Jen calls her a cheap, hateful tramp. Enter Abigail, wondering what is going on. Jen is sorry and promises her daughter it will not happen again but before going to work, she whispers to Nicole she is not sorry for anything she said to her! Exit Jen. Abigail wants to tell her mother something and comes back into the room. Nicole explains she went to work. She now claims they should discuss something, for the widow Jen is not doing well … - Sami sits and humors EJ, seeming to believe the fight was not about her. Then it must have been about Nicole and the baby. EJ sits beside her and pleasantly wonders what was so urgent. She announces she has made a decision. She has changed her mind about considering the possibility of a future between them. EJ's eyes are filled with hurt. She remarks he is not saying anything. “WOT is there to say!” he retorts, adding she has evidently made her decision. She explains that it was not Rafe who made her see the light, but Kate, who accused her of bouncing from man to man. She no longer wishes to do that and laments she has felt she was in a freefall since their fateful night together. She wants to focus on the kids and her career. He casually states that is no problem and announces he shall do the same. Sami adds she is glad they got that cleared up. EJ, his head held high, coldly agrees, and walks off, leaving her standing alone . - Gabi returns to the pub and tries to help Nick clear off a plate. She accidentally breaks it and he assures her it is quite alright. Meanwhile Chad has just arrived outside and stares at the scene through the window. He observes Nick smiling with Gabi as they stand closely together. He watches and wonders. - Will is on his phone as he comes back into the apartment with the two Cubs tickets. He leaves Sonny a message that he must cancel their date tonight as his mom got some tickets for Johnny and is counting on him to take him to the game. He is sorry and thus ends the massage. He does not realize that Sami was standing behind him. She demands to know why he lied and canceled his date with Sonny! - Nicole sets a warm and fuzzy scene with peppermint tea in the Horton living room. She and Abigail sit together. Nicole pretends to sympathize with Jen for all the stress in her life since losing Jack. She brazenly lies that Daniel told her Jen has been yelling at other people at the hospital too. Abigail admits they have also been fighting. Nicole insists they must find a way to help her poor mother. - Dan looks at the announcement for Jen’s welcome back party Friday at 5 pm. He sighs and stands up with his file. Maxine enters and asks when he will be free. They will change the date so he can attend but he claims he must keep his distance. He hopes she will count him out of anything personal concerning Jen. Maxine frowns she got it and leaves. Jen now arrives and approaches him for an intense conversation. - Back at the town square, EJ is all business with Justin, who has agreed to another impromptu meeting. He asks about whether he has given any thought to his situation. Justin assures him he has the right to request a paternity test. Lawyer EJ reasons he has the presumption of legitimacy and paternity if the baby was conceived at a certain time. Justin now states he is concerned that he wishes to question the honesty and ethics of good men like Daniel Jonas and Rafe Hernandez. EJ explains he is not, he merely wants the paternity test. However, if said DNA test results happen to cast doubts on the integrity and honesty of those men, that is their problem. Justin thinks he could be going to too much trouble but EJ wickedly grins he suspects the end result will turn out rather handsomely. - Sami urges Will to tell her what is the matter. He shrugs his shoulders and mutters he changed his mind. Sami remembers how excited he was about the date. He wishes she would simply stay out of it but Sami presses him. Why is he not going out with Sonny now? Will blurts out he is not good enough for him! - Sonny is still working at the coffee house when Mel arrives, asking how he is. He gushes he is wonderful. She is glad and wonders if he has seen Chad. Sonny updates her that he just left. Mel pouts. - Chad, meanwhile, is suspiciously observing the friendly interaction between coworkers Nick and Gabi. He flashes back to EJ warning him that when people go off the rails, the generally stay there! Inside, Gabi and Nick are giggling about inventory among other things. She wonders if he feels comfortable working at the pub. He does. Outside, Chad frowns, watches their body language, and remembers Gabi asking if he still loved Melanie. He is losing it ... - Nicole acts sweeter than the peppermint tea. Abigail is not sure how exactly they can help her mom. Nicole explains she will stay out of her way. She advises Abigail not to mention her or even believe what she says about her. Abigail blinks in confusion. Like what? - Dr. Dan is distant. He informs Jen he was about to take off. She stops him and whispers they need to speak privately. She knows what is going on between him and Nicole. He plays innocent but she warns if he keeps this up, that woman and her lies will jeopardize his entire career! She now has his full attention ... END |
