She laments she will have to deal with Nicole once Rafe’s baby is born. Marlena points out she already dealt with her, but now this time Nicole is the biological mother. She thinks she is being hypocritical and a tad selfish. Sami is surprised by her reaction. - At the coffee house, Will sits at the counter, where Sonny is now working. Impressed Will wonders how he can go to school and run his business and be so good at it. Sonny downplays it. Sensing Will’s insecurity, he goes on to encourage him to talk to him if he ever has any doubts. Will grins and agrees. They pinky swear to keep the lines of communication open and have no secrets between them. - Nicole becomes peeved when she learns that Rafe has a dinner date with Sami tonight. He had promised her that they were done! Rafe is displeased. Nicole wonders what she can do to fix things, though she refuses to admit the photograph was fake. There is the baby to consider. Rafe becomes exasperated. So does Nicole. Is it serious with Sami? Just a date, but he does not think she will want to see him now. She promises to ask him next time before doing anything. Rafe checks his phone and is surprised Sami did not send him a message cancelling. Nicole wishes him luck. Rafe starts to leave, then asks if he should see that picture. Nicole does not think he should. Rake takes his leave, bemused and befuddled. - Sami shares her fear with Marlena that Nicole will use the child to hurt her. Marlena explains Sami must be good about this. The child will need a solid mother figure, like when Sami’s children needed a solid father figure when EJ was at his worst. Sami admits she never thought like that. Marlena assures her she is a natural mother and should give that to this boy, who will need every advantage in his life. Sami is not sure she is capable of doing that. Marlena, however, believes she is. - Mel wants to know what is the matter and is increasingly suspicious of Chad. Knock knock! Tis Gabi. Chad tries to stop her from talking. Gabi insists on enlightening Mel about this man she is marrying. Chad beat Nick to a pulp and had she not been there to stop him, he would have succeeded in killing him! - Sonny bears news. The shipment has arrived and it is a big one that will take him three hours of work. Will had a good time. They agree to do it again soon and kiss in the middle of the coffee house. Lucas opens the door, spies the pair kissing and closes the door. He stands outside and sighs, his hand on his hip, his eyes troubled. - EJ graciously assures Kate it has been a pleasure. She understands it must have been difficult for him to hear, but Sami will always make him miserable. If it is not Rafe, there will be someone or something else. He needs to take care of himself - until the day he dies. EJ sadly stands up and walks away. - Rafe happily knocks at Sami’s door and asks if she is ready. She rages about the picture with his slut, adds she never wants to see him again, and slams the door in his face. Rafe now blinks back to reality, knocks on the door for real, and waits. Sami opens it with a warm smile. He asks if she is ready. She is indeed and holds up her sparkly little purse. - Kayla has bandages and antibiotic cream samples for a grateful Nick. She refuses to accept any payment. He insists on repaying her so she suggests he work extra shifts for her mom. She remembers that Nick saved her life when she was exposed to biotoxins. The chief of staff has now returned the favor and lets him know he is good to go. Exit pretty Kayla. Nick is puzzled about where Gabi went to. - Mel stares in horror as Chad admits he did hit Nick a few times. She turns away He explains he had her scarf. That was because she dropped it. And why did he not say anything to her? Gabi explains he does not tell her things and there is something else too. Something that she should have told her long ago. In fact, she is not leaving until she spills the beans to Mel so she will know that truth now as well. Chad freezes, realizing what is about to come ... END |
